I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

Jaycee is on the run and trying to find Brett before danger catches up to her. She has several close calls but Brett is there to protect her when she loses her memory along the way. Will Brett still trust her when he finds out what she has done?

This book was fast paced and has you guessing until the end.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was an edge of the seat page turner. Brett Harmon was reeling from a failed assignment and Jaycee was trying to stay alive. So many twists and turns. Great Romantic Suspense.

I loved this book! It deserves more than 5 stars! There is excitement and peril on each page! Jacee finds herself injured and without any memory of who she is or who might have hurt her. Brett rescues her, just to find out that Jacee was actually searching for him. There are continuous attempts on Jacee's life, and Brett tries to assist in keeping her alive. The book is not long; I was glued to the pages and raced to finish it in one day! This is the first I have read anything by this author, nor will it be the last!
I received a complimentary copy of this e-book by the publishers and my thoughts are my own honest opinions.

Texas Ranch Target is a contemporary action/romance novel written by Virginia Vaughan. It is book two in the Cowboy Protectors series, but it is not necessary to have read book one in order to read this one.

Summary: Brett Harmon’s career might just be over. The client he was protecting is dead, and he failed to protect her.

Headed home to the family ranch to lick his wounds, he stumbles across a woman in distress. She has been in a car wreck and has no memory of who she is.

Can Brett protect her from an unknown assailant, and figure out why she has his business card?

My Thoughts: I liked this book. I found it to be unbelievable in parts, but there was lots of action, a good mystery, and I liked the characters too.

This would be a fun one-time read for anyone who likes action/adventure with a dash of romance.

I would like to thank Harlequin for providing me with a free digital copy of this book in exchange for my review. Thank you!

Brett and Jaycee’s story is an exciting from page one. The author plunges you deep into a mystery of dangerous proportions. Poor Jaycee’s constantly in danger. Brett does his best to keep her safe despite challenges that are the reasons for their meeting. The mystery carries you through to the last page. I was rather impressed with this.
The relationship aspect of this book I feel could have been more developed. It has more of an instalove feel to it. That being said I feel like the reader can identify well with the characters. Overall this was a fun on your feet type of read.
My rating would be 3 stars. It was fun and very intriguing but could use a little more romantic development between the characters. If you have read my reviews before, I haven’t met a five star read yet!
Thank you to Harlequin-Romance and Netgally for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Texas Ranch Target is a thrilling addition to the Cowboy Protectors series! Featuring cybersecurity specialist Jaycee Richmond and security expert Brett Harmon, this action-packed plot kept me turning pages to find out who was responsible for multiple attacks on Jaycee. Suspense runs high in this story intensified by Jaycee’s complete loss of memory! Well-crafted, realistic characters advance the story. A bit of sweet romance and a gentle faith thread add interest and enjoyment. I highly recommend this book, and I think fans of inspirational suspense will love it! Note: This book can be read as a standalone although there are carryover characters from the first book in the series.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley with no obligation to write a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

"Texas Ranch Target" is a Christian romantic suspense novel. It's the second in a series, but it works as a standalone. Brett felt guilty over losing a client, even though he did everything he could to protect her. They still don't know who shot her as the security systems were down. Jaycee was deceived into hacking into that system. Once she realized the results of her actions, she felt guilty and tracked down Brett to tell him what happened. Only, someone is trying to kill her, and she lost her memory during one attack.

Brett admired Jaycee's courage and skill and felt that knowing her without her memory actually demonstrated her core character in a way he could trust. He's determined not to lose another person in need of protection. He worked with Jacyee to uncover who hired her and who killed his client. An observant reader can figure out who's behind some of the attacks long before Brett and Jaycee do, though.

When Jaycee's memory came back, she remembered just how lonely she was. She wanted to get married to a man she hardly knew basically because she was tired of being lonely. I'd think Brett should have wanted to get to know her (especially with her memories intact) a bit before proposing rather than asking after only spending time with her for a few days. The suspense was created by repeated attacks on Jaycee. She came across as competent (especially with computers and when questioning people) until she left her gun behind when she knew she'd need it. She felt stupid about that, but why have her do it in the first place?

There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I'd recommend this suspenseful novel.

A cybersecurity specialist uncovers a mistake she made and puts herself at risk to make amends. But now she can't remember what it was, and the more she finds out, the less she likes it.

This short story holds a lot of action as Brett and Jaycee figure out who is behind the attacks on her, and what her past all holds. Themes of trust and forgiveness woven through the story.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC and for the opportunity to post an honest review.
