I would give this book 3.5 to 4 stars. I enjoyed Archer's Voice and I had no idea that there was a second installment focusing on Travis. In the first book we end up despising him for all his choices.
This book didn't feel like a romance but more like literary fiction with a dash of romance. I loved watching Travis grow as a character and seeing Haven (his opposite) come and sweep him onto his axis. This book didn't feel steamy to me but rather focused on found family, forgiveness, healing plus Travis and Haven falling for each other.
I love that Sheridan writes these stories of how broken people move forward in their lives. The only thing that I struggled with in the book was the pacing at times felt slower but overall an amazing beach read.
4.5 Stars
Thank you to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books for sending me a copy of this book.
Mia, Queen, you are officially starting to become one of my favourite authors… There is just something about the way she writes, and this book was no different. While I did enjoy both Archer's Voice and Most of all you, more than this book, I still liked this one a lot. I loved getting the chance to return to Pelion lake and catch up with all the townspeople, especially Archer and Bree. The redemption arc for Travis was amazing and him and Haven were just too cute.
Travis is the follow-up story to Archer's Voice that follows Archer's brother Travis on his journey of redemption. Following the tragic events of Travis and Archer's childhood, Archer survived by turning inward while Travis turned his grief outward, hurting those around him. When we meet Travis in this story, it is 8 years after Archer and Bree got together and Travis is working on repairing his relationship with his brother and navigating his new status in Pelion. Though he is trying hard to be a better person, Travis lacks the motivation, or perhaps, inspiration to do so. Until he meets Haven. Haven and her brother are running away from their own tragic past, traveling from town to town to avoid establishing relationships and inevitably getting hurt. When Haven and Travis meet, they see themselves in each other and help each other heal from the betrayal they've experienced.
This is a story of redemption and healing. It's a story of accepting our mistakes and moving forward. Despite Travis's strongly unlikable character in Archer's Voice, Sheridan builds him up to be a loveable MMC in his own story. Haven and Travis's banter often reads like a rom-com, but Sheridan's writing elevates the story and creates strong, fallible, relatable characters that her fans will love.
I received an advanced reader copy of Travis by Mia Sheridan in exchange for an honest review. This love story was heart wrenching from the dedication page to the last word. This book was everything I wanted and more. In the beginning I was a little nervous I wouldn’t love Travis as much as Archer but his redemption story is equally as beautiful. I held my breath at the campfire scene where Travis had the documents to change everything. That chapter was so perfectly done, you can feel his inner struggle and conflicting ideas to the point where you almost feel as if he should show Archer and get his birthright too.
Haven was one of my favorite female leads. She was so perfect for Travis and I loved how she made him want to do better. Her story was beautiful and her character growth felt so real. I loved her humor and playful snark. The plant thing was adorable.
I think my favorite scenes in the entire book was the twist in the first half of the book with Easton. I did not see that coming and it made me gasp and then laugh out loud. I’m hoping Easton gets his story told because I feel like he is another lost soul trying to do change. Plus who doesn’t love a good firefighter.
I love the idea of losing everything and yet getting it all and more at the end. One of my favorite reads of the year!
I absolutely love Mia Sheridan's books, she has such a way with broken characters and their journey's. She weaves together love stories so beautifully. I absolutely loved Archer's Voice and I was so excited to read Travis's story.
I loved seeing how Travis's character matured and how he connected with Archer in this story. His and Haven story was entertain to read, it wasn't has compelling as Archer's Voice, but I highly enjoyed their story. This was a great book to read from start to finish and I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves Sheridan's writing style. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC and I can wait for readers to devour this one!
I have to say, I fell head over heels for Archer's story and was left crying and wallowing when I finished it. If you read Archer's story... you may have the same opinion I have about Travis.. (no bueno). But, holy wow. Mia Sheridan did it again. This story takes place 8 years after Archer's Voice and we get to see how Travis has matured and how his relationship with Archer has grown.. however, it is evident that the issues that caused strife with his brother are still insecurities that affect his life. (Also *tiny spoiler* there is some solid bonding and growth, and we get to see Archer & Bree(!!))
This story was a trope I don't usually go for, I'm not crazy about time-limited love/love of convenience, you know where I'm going with this. FMC, Haven and her brother are on the run from ✨something✨ and wind up in town for the summer. What happens when little Miss Runaway and Chief of Police get well acquainted?
Overall, 4/5 ⭐️ and 2.5/5 🌶️
If you know Mia Sheridan, she has perfected the "broken" lovers trope and beautifully illustrates healing, angst, growing, and internal battles.
You will fall in love with this small town and a lovely mix of people. Travis just dumped his grilled friend after walking in on her cheating. Now he is done with women for awhile but he can’t get over a women he pulled over on the road. Her car was so full of dead plants she couldn’t see and was driving like a drunk person. Haven from California has been traveling for a long time running away so she can’t get hurt again. When she got pulled over by the handsome chief of police Travis, she loved his humor and they started a friendship from there. Through lots of bumps in the road Travis is finally ready to get what he wants, which is Haven. Will they make it through together? I was given an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to review this book.
This book starts following the bonus epilogue of Archer’s Voice. Travis works to deal with his past discretions and move forward with the person he wants to become. Haven is escaping her past memories only planting roots anywhere in a very literal way. An unlikely friendship is formed between the town bachelor and the crazy plant lady. These two are looking for the simple and easy but it nothing can ever stay simple and easy forever.
I absolutely loved this book. Even in Archer’s Voice, I could understand some of the hurt Travis had to be feeling even though I did not condone his actions. It was beautiful to watch Travis really begin to understand his emotions and not let them control his actions. I absolutely hated his mother in the first story but I hate her even more now. My heart breaks for the little boy who was told he was never enough. The character growth from both characters was phenomenal and so proud of Travis.

Written in the same world as Sheridan's Archer, Travis focuses on the title character, Archer's police chief brother.
After finding his girlfriend in a compromising position, Travis shortly thereafter meets new small town transport, lover of all plants, Haven.
Sweet story, although I always find the "things we do for love" overly grand as shown in the ending.
This was a really good reception story. I can admit I didn't like Travis in Archer's story, so I wasn't entirely sure how I would feel like this book. I was pleasantly surprised, and my feelings toward Travis had changed.
I enjoyed the banter between Travis and Haven, as well as, the glimpses of Archer and Bree.
Much like Archer's Voice (which needs to be read first) this story is so well written and the pacing is great.
I'm excited to read more by Mia!
Thank you to NetGalley and Mia for this opportunity!
This was a beautiful follow-up to Archer's story. This follows Travis's story, taking place after Archer and Bree's story ends. It includes appearances from both Archer and Bree, and there's some heartfelt brother rekindling that happens as well.
Definitely recommend if you loved Archer's Voice and want more of it.
Mia Sheridan's writing is beautiful and meaningful and the depth of the characters she creates is amazing.
Okay I will start with this, I didn’t think I would, but I now love Travis (if you read Archer’s voice you know why I would think I wouldn’t).
And secondly I hated The MFC Haven, she started out fine but the whole Gage thing made me dislike her so much that nothing could really redeem her after that. Because now she’s not just breaking one guys heart, she’s playing with another mans feelings- one that the book stated multiple times is a very nice man- ( for no reason- she didn’t like this guy- however much she internalized). Also her whole attitude when Travis ex showed up - SHE SLEPT WITH HAVEN’S BROTHER, WHY ARE YOU BEING STUPID? HES NOT TAKING HER BACK- and started talking about how Travis is going to end up with a beautiful girl - either his ex or someone similarly beautiful but not her- after he spilled his feelings out to her.
NO JUST NO. I have to stop talking about HAVEN because I hated her character. I loved basically everyone else in the book, even the ex who cheated on Travis had some character development.
Now on to the things I liked, Travis, His journey to redemption was nothing short of remarkable and left a lasting impression on me. I have a weakness for stories that revolve around the redemption of a flawed character, especially when it is a misunderstood villain.
I highly recommend this book solely for the captivating arc of Travis' journey towards redemption. I did however find him a bit stupid by giving away legit EVERYTHING HE OWNED to the BROTHER of the women he loves, however that is just my personal opinion. On a positive note, I relished the opportunity to delve deeper into Bree and Archer's relationship, and was left wanting to revisit their story again in future. The heartwarming scenes between Archer, Bree, and their children, as well as Travis' interactions with them, only furthered my affection for this book.
Despite my overall enjoyment of the book, I found myself unable to fully admire the main female character (MFC). Only the most talented authors can captivate me with their writing and yet leave me feeling conflicted about a character. Nevertheless, I eagerly anticipate reading a book featuring EASTON as the main protagonist. His multifaceted personality and unpredictable qualities truly fascinate me and add depth to his character.
I was fortunate enough to have received an Advanced Review Copy (ARC) from NetGallery, in exchange for providing an authentic and unbiased review of the material.
I loved Archer's voice so I was super excited to see that Travis had a spin off book. Honestly Travis was a villain in the other book but wow did this redeem him. He was a great book bf. I do wish that we had seen a bit more of their relationship getting to know each other because I feel like they had their first morning with the plants and then it skipped a bunch in between. Loved the parts with Archer and Bree, it felt like coming home to old friends. Im excited to see where this series goes.
Sexy, heartbreaking, and just amazing! New author for me and was happily surprised with how much I liked this genre! Would recommend!

Honestly the best quote I had to include the whole thing!
“Maybe the terrible truth about love is that when it’s gone, it leaves a hole in your heart so big it feels like nothing will ever fill it. The idea of risking again feels fatal. A human being can’t possibly lose that much of themselves and still survive. And so you try desperately to fill it with things that never quite do the job. Things that sometimes hurt other people,”

Aaaah this had some much potential yall 😩 and I wanted to absolutely looooove it so bad but I just didn’t. I couldn’t get past how terrible Travis was to Archer in Archer’s Voice 😅 I didn’t love the instalove Haven and Travis had. And I knew that some big end it all, thing was coming because duh it always does and the big thing that happened was not big at all. It was so anticlimactic. I found myself saying, “oh? that’s it?” Like that was so dramatic for what? The best part of the book was the last two chapters and the epilogue. I’m a sucker for a HEA!
I did love Travis’ character growth & but don’t love how he came to it. I feel like that letter shouldn’t have been the thing that made him own up to his mistakes and grow from them. He’s an adult & the chief of police, that should have been enough.
I'm giving this a 3.5 because I loved seeing archer and Bree and their kids as often as we did and loved the ending but overall this wasn’t my fav.
✨Thank you to Mía Sheridan, NetGalley and Bloom Books for this ARC of Travis by Mia Sheridan in exchange for an honest review.✨
I absolutely loved Archer's Voice, so I had to give Travis a shot to see if he could redeem himself. He definitely did! I enjoyed looking into Archer and Bree's future, getting to know and love Travis, hearing his story, and understanding his pain and healing journey. I would give this 3.5 stars overall. I enjoyed Acher's Voice more, however, if you enjoyed that book, I highly encourage you to pick this one up too, and revisit Pelion and its residents.
I enjoyed reading Archer’s Voice a couple years ago and I saw this sequel up on NetGalley because it got re-edited and released with a different publishing company (despite it’s original 2021 pub date) so I figured, why not?!
Turns out, this book follows Archer’s brother, Travis, a few years later. I was excited to read about him. Especially because we hate him so much in book 1. I couldn’t wait for his redemption arc. It ended up being a very emotional inner monologue heavy book.
The premise sounded really good but I ended up being so bored. It was just meh. I think if you feel VERY invested into Pelion, Maine and the Hales (Archer’s Voice universe), read this one. You’ll enjoy it. But I wanted so much more. It was too predictable for my tastes. I wasn’t invested in the main characters at all.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book. The way I devoured this book in TWO days was so unexpected! I loved Archer's Voice and didn't know there was a sequel until I got this one in my inbox. I immediately dropped everything I was reading to start it. If you loved Archer's Voice, you will LOVE this one just as much. Its a small-town, friends to lovers story about Archer's brother Travis. It was nice to read his story and also get the other perspective from Travis of what happened in Archer's Voice. Readers will love and devour it.
I didn’t originally think I’d like Travis or this read after reading Archers voice, but boy was I wrong. I didn’t end up just liking him, I loved reading about both him and Haven. Travis was totally redeemed by the end and the overall book showed so much character development for both him and Haven. I definitely got in my feels for this one towards the end (you’ll know exactly what I’m referring to when you get there) but I loved it. I can’t wait to read more from Mia Sheridan.
