I decided to read Archer's Voice before reading Travis because I didn't want to miss anything about Travis's character. I loved Archer's Voice and therefore didn't have a high opinion of Travis. He did redeem himself by the end of his own story. Travis was a sweet romance, but it didn't give the same kind of emotion that Archer's Voice illicited in me. I wanted Archer to find the partially burnt remains of the papers that Travis burned in the fire pit. I was sad that Travis had to sacrifice so much to find happiness. I'm glad that he did finally find that happiness, though. Overall, it was a very good romance, it just wasn't to the level of Archer's Voice.

Thank you NetGalley and Sourcebooks bloom books for this arc.

After finishing up Archer’s Voice, I was wary about reading Travis’ story. I didn’t see how I would want to read about a bully who didn’t seem to have many redeeming characteristics, but I am glad I was able to read about Travis’ redemption. The character growth throughout this novel had be on his side rooting for him to succeed. This was a wonderful follow up and a nice glimpse into how some of of favorite characters in Pelion are doing.

If you liked Archer’s Voice you’ll definitely like Travis! Such a good book with second chances and seeing Travis and Haven’s growth. Loved that we were able to see part of Archers life with Bree and how cute they are! Really enjoyed the whole book, Mia Sheridan does it again.

When it comes to small town books Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan is one of the best I have ever read. And in Archer’s Voice Travis Hale is an obnoxious, despicable person. So when I had the chance to visit Pelion, Maine again by reading Travis – the follow up to Archer’s Voice, which takes place about eight years after the first book – I was really intrigued to see where the story would go and how Travis might redeem himself. And he did! Oh, how my heart ached for the seven-year-old Travis, and hearing his thoughts and his side of the story about everything was eye-opening and heartbreaking. The message of how hard but important it is to take responsibility for your actions came across really well and showed that people really can change. Also, I was really happy to get glimpses into the lives of Archer and Bree and their children – baby Averie was just the cutest – and I am so happy that Travis finally made things right with Archer.

Thank you so much Mia Sheridan and Bloom Books for gifting me a copy to review – the new cover is absolutely gorgeous!

I swear Mia can’t write a bad story! I’m convinced she just can’t do it! Everything she writes is pure magic.
Travis by Mia Sheridan left in speechless with the deep meaningful story, and of course has me falling in love with everything inside!
Sheridan delivered this book with complete perfection.
The way she creates her characters is just captivating.
They were so real and alive which left me wanting more of them.
I love Sheridan’s character development and plot arcs.
Another outstanding story and I can’t wait to read her next one!

Mia Sheridan is one of my instant buy authors. She can absolutely do no wrong and seeing this book come out was like a gift.

Archer's Voice is one of my all time favorite books like to the point that I have been rereading it once or twice a year since it was introduced to me. The fact that Travis was able to continue on with his story and we were able to see all of the characters from Archer's Voice again was absolutely amazing. I love Travis and I love that we got to hear his story. I feel like he grew so much during Archer's Voice and it just continued to get better during Travis.

I love his and Haven's story! I will definitely be adding this one to my comfort read rotation

The banter between Haven and Travis was top tier. It got a little melodramatic towards the end but was overall a solid addition to Mia Sheridan’s Pelion series!

A really cute small town romance. An anti hero that’s finding his way. A loving girl that find herself in a town she wants to belong to but everything in her wants her to keep running. The forced proximity, the banter, the friends turned fwb turned to forever was done so well! the love that bloomed between Travis and Haven was sensational. I did feel that the ending was a little rushed and would have loved to see some more groveling.

Overall a charming small town romance! I hope to read a book about Easton!

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this book, specifically the character of Travis, after recently finishing Archer's Voice. I really did love this book though and the message that people do change, they do make mistakes and they can come back from those mistakes (given the opportunity to do so). Nothing is more enjoyable than watching a strong woman knock a man with an ego onto his butt out of nowhere. Haven seemed to be the perect type of woman to drive into Travis' life and make him see life in a new light. Their stories apart were heartbreaking and watching their lives intertwine became healing after the heartbreak. I also loved that there were glimpses of Archer and Bree. Overall, a great series to pick up - emotion and love, with a bit of tragedy make these characters memorable.

3 Stars Travis by Mia Sheridan is a follow-up (but not a sequel) to her novel Archer’s Voice. I absolutely loved Archer’s Voice (it’s a 5 star read for me) and had high expectations for this book because of that, but it fell a bit short.

8 years after the events of Archer’s Voice, Archer’s half-brother Travis Hale is the chief of police in his small hometown of Pelion, Maine. Travis seems to have become a somewhat better person since partially severing ties with his mother when he made her leave town for the harm she had done to Archer and Bree. Travis’s relationship with Archer has improved, though they’ve never talked about what happened in their past or how Travis used to treat Archer, and Travis is thinking of settling down soon with his girlfriend, Phoebe. That is, until he walks in on Phoebe cheating on him. After that, Travis swears off women for the time being. Until he keeps running into Haven Torres, a nomadic plant lover who is in Pelion for the summer and working at the smoothie bar at the country club in the neighboring town. Luckily for Travis’s promise to himself, Haven isn’t even his type and she has a crush on Gage Buchanan, who seems perfect in every way. Travis and Haven become unlikely friends, with him helping her catch Gage’s attention. Soon their simple friendship turns into something more complicated.

Like I said, I was a bit disappointed in this one. After the high stakes and drama in Archer’s Voice, I had high expectations for the plot in Travis, but ultimately, it was pretty low-stakes and the book felt long for there not to be as much to the plot as there was in Archer’s Voice. That being said, it’s not a bad book by any means, I think my expectations were just set too high. I still recommend this one, especially if you want more glimpses of Archer and Bree. I didn’t expect to like Travis after his actions in Archer’s Voice, but Mia Sheridan did a great job with his redemption arc and character growth. His story was just right for what his character needed to do to make things right with himself and with his brother.

I really love Archer's Voice and I was excited to read this.
This book is about Travis's redemption story and Mia Sheridan has done it well!. I loved the interaction between Travis and his nephews and niece. My absolute favorite scene was the bro-time it was heartwarming and brought a 'real' closure to their past. Haven was like a breath of fresh air to Travis, she made him realize what love is. They together learned how to forgive others especially themselves. This has been a very cozy romance read, if you enjoyed Archer's Voice as I did, you'll like this one too!

Oh, Travis! I despised this man in Archer's Voice and I have to say, I was not onboard with a "redemption" book for Travis as I just felt it couldn't be done. I will say, I softened, if only a little bit towards him. I understand he had a difficult upbringing; abandoned by his dad and being manipulated by his mother; sorry, she will never be forgiven. I really enjoyed the moments of interaction between Travis and Archer as they attempted to bridge their broken and dysfunctional relationship.
I had a great time revisiting this series, Archer's Voice was my first ever Mia Sheridan book and I haven't been able to stop since. I appreciate her giving more depth to Travis so we could all understand him better.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely adored Archer’s Voice and I have recommended it to so many people. I didn’t care or really like Travis in that book, so I was really hoping to like him in this book more. I have mixed feelings about this book. Although I did like Travis a lot more, I found myself not as interested in the storyline, which was a little disappointing.

I also, found myself skim reading because some parts weren’t as interesting.

I absolutely loved seeing Archer, Bree, and their family as side characters in this book. They will always be my favorites! They definitely saved this book for me.

Thank you Netgalley, Bloom Publishing and Mia Sheridan for the ARC.
Archer’s Voice is one of my absolute favourite books ever so I was really excited for this book. And right from the prologue this book hit me in feels.
I loved that Bree and Archer were so present in this book. It’s really beautiful how much the brothers value each other. And Travis is such a sweet uncle.
The Yellow Trellis gang were so awesome. Even Clawdia. I think they were a good micro-representation of the town itself.
I think the only thing I didn’t love was Tori Hale. She still got off way to easy for such a horrible person.
I hope there are more books set in Pelion because I love this little town. Mia has done such a beautiful job shaping the lives of the Hale boys in these books. All the stars!!

Readers & lovers of Archers Voice… you’ll want to pick this one up. While I was never fully sold on Travis’ character, this was an enjoyable read and offers a great amount of closure for the town of Pelions overall story. If you haven’t read Archers Voice, you should definitely read that one first. This book will spoil that story. A quick, easy read!

I really enjoyed Travis book. I'm a big fan of redemption stories. I love this author and the emotions she puts me though. Thank you do the ARC,

I just love a good redemption story. I always love the villain or the misunderstood character. In “Archer’s Voice” Travis did some things that made me physically cringe while reading. This book didn’t absolve him of his sins, they still happened and had a profound affect, but he sought growth and forgiveness and grace was extended to him. I’m just a sucker for that kind of thing.

I enjoyed Travis’ story just as much as Archer’s. I loved the way Haven complimented his character growth. She was a crazy plant lady and offered a bit of comic relief but still had great depth and history.

If you were a fan of Archer’s Voice I would give this one a shot!

This was an enjoyable read that I was interested to see where it would be going. I did loose interest at some parts, but other than that it was enjoyable!

Let me start my review by saying I was not as...impressed as others By Archer's Voice. While Travis wasn't my favorite character in the book, I looked forward to his redemption arc,
That being said, I found myself really loving Travis' story!

Travis, the chief of police, in a small town of Pelion, Maine is considering getting more serious with his girlfriend when he catches her in the act of cheating. Haven and her brother have been traveling across the country and moving from place to place and decide to settle on Pelion area for the Summer. The two cross paths and after a plumbing leak, Travis finds himself staying in a local B&B where Haven is staying where they strike up a friendship...with benefits...

I loved the character development of Travis, and how we can see the growth from the first book. I loved Haven for him.

I did love the ending and the epilogue and if you were really into Archer's Voice you will love this. This book could be read as a standalone but I do recommend that you read the first one to get the background info and to be more invested in the characters.

NetGalley Review — my rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
.
Let me preface this by saying “Archer’s Voice” was my favorite read of 2022. Therefore, I had the highest of hopes for “Travis”.
.
It was good, but fell a little flat comparatively. The story just didn’t seem as flushed out as Archer’s. But I was very glad to see a different side of Travis.
.
Watching Travis finally get his happily ever after was an excellent way to handle this companion novel.
.
Big thanks to @read_bloom for this ARC!
