Thank you NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books for this ARC of Travis.
This book was all about Travis. I like that we can finally see his POV in this book! I didn't necessarily liked him in Archers Voice. But his redemption in this one was good. You should definitely read this if you've read Archer's Voice!
Mia Sheridan does not disappoint!

thank you NetGalley for my copy of Travis !
i loved archers voice so much, and it is in my top 5 reads ever. that being said, i was so excited for travis because i hated him in archers voice & i need to see his pov.
i think travis was a different aspect to lake pelion & i loved seeing the varying side to the town. because in archers voice we see that secluded pov & how things unfold from that storyline. with travis i think seeing his police background & how he feels about the situation that unfolded from the previous book was very needed. i also love his love interest !
the story was very well told & i think that it was nice seeing travis & the developments that he takes because he was so unlikable before. getting to see his pov & how his character evolves & how his love story develops was so interesting !

I loved this especially after reaching Archers Voice - I loved getting the grittiness of these characters and seeing Travis find love.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for allowing me to read this book!!
I think I have a very different point of view when reading this since I didn’t read the first book so there were probably things that went right over my head but I do know the first book is about Archer.
I kinda enjoyed this book due to the fact I didn’t know Travis was an a** in the first book. He has a lot of growing to do since the beginning of the book which I believe he did but Haven was a b*tch tbh. Haven had zero clue about her feeling which only played with Travis. She’s a trainwreck on legs and is manipulative with her feelings.
This book was okay, I don’t think I’d read it again but it’s a good book for those who read the first book!

3.5 stars (rounded up)!
There are some positives and negatives about "Travis" by Mia Sheridan. To me, this book redeems Travis because I genuinely hated him after reading "Archer's Voice." I'm not suggesting what he did was right or justified, but his awful actions are redeemed by the book's end. Mia Sheridan is an excellent writer, but something about this book felt rushed to me?? I didn't connect with Haven and Travis as I should have, the way I instantly did with Archer and Bree. The characters are well-developed, and I liked them both separately, but their chemistry felt a little off to me. I like Haven's green thumb and how Travis falls fast and hard for her despite their differences. I enjoyed how Travis grew as a character throughout the course of the story. I didn't love how Haven seemed pretty insecure about certain things, and she got on my nerves quite a bit. I like that all of the characters have massive flaws that shape who they are as people. I do think this book is a little bit too long, though. It could have easily been 50-75 pages shorter. Regardless, I'd love to get several more Pelion books because the town is clearly magical and wonderful. Sheridan does a spectacular job describing the town in such a way that it feels like I was there watching this story unfold right in front of me.
Thank you to NetGalley, Mia Sheridan, and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books/Bloom Books for providing me with an ARC copy of this book! All opinions are my own, and I was not compensated for my review.

Thank you netgalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books. I gotta say in Archers voice I obviously wasn’t a big fan of Travis due to him being the bad guy. This book changed my opinion on Travis completely and am so happy I finally understand why Travis is the way he is! I love how Travis changes for the better and owned up to all the wrongdoing’s he has done in the past. I adored the way Haven and Travis’s relationship blossomed and getting to read more about the great people that live in Pelion. I love the roller coaster of emotions Mia Sheridan puts you through in her books! It upsets me all the struggles the characters in her books face but love to get to read about them defeating their inner demons together. Her books are now an instant buy for me! I love the character depth and the guys in her books are all so perfectly imperfect!

"When you know, you know."
In 2016 I fell in love with Archer’s Voice. The story of the shy and unsure Archer Hale. Words cannot describe the emotions and “feels” brought out by Mia Sheridan’s unique and amazing story. I would have never guessed that Mia would one day surprise us with the story of Archer’s brother, Travis. He is a pivotal part of Archer’s story. Mia has dug deep to bring us his story.
"Sometimes I forgot who he really was, at heart, because I was so wrapped up in the hurt surrounding his departure."
Redemption, can Travis Hale be redeemed…
"There was a whole world were I wouldn’t be “one of those “Hale boys”….."
Travis has spent the better part of his life feeling like he is second best. He has started to realize that his actions over the years have consequences. He is not the confident police chief that he portrays every day when he goes to work. He is filled with doubt and insecurities. He wants to be accepted. He wants to dream. The journey he takes toward achieving that is filled with so many emotions and some regret. So much to understand, to uncover and to unpack. It is both heartwarming and heartbreaking at times.
"I didn’t want to be maneuvered or manipulated anymore. I wanted to be asked what I wanted for my life. …And then I wanted to be listened to and supported in those dreams."
Haven Torres and her brother Easton are also on a journey of sorts. They end up in the lake town of Pelion, Maine. Passing though for a season. I loved Haven! She is warmth and positivity – funny and unique. Challenging and full of sarcasm. There is no doubt that she too is trying to escape her past. I just loved her passion for plants and her ability to understand, to feel other people’s emotions.
There are several Archer’s Voice flashbacks as well as frequent interactions with Archer and Bree. Travis has many funny moments, lots of banter and charming, crazy secondary characters. I loved the scenes that occurred at the “B&B.” The story has a steady pace and build up, unfolding and wrapping up like a beautiful sunset on a lake.
As I said above, I could not imagine Travis redeeming himself. Both he and Haven had experienced so much grief and disappointment in their lives. As always Mia Sheridan delivers poetic, beautiful story telling. I highly recommend Travis. But, to make it even better, read or reread Archer’s Voice.
My favorite moment is with baby Averie. When you read it you will love it too!

I was here for the redemption and Mia delivered! I was hesitant only because of how much I loved Archers voice but I’m glad to see Travis’ character development!! Can’t wait to read more of her backlist!! Thank you so much Bloom Books and Mia Sheridan for a copy of this rerelease in exchange for my honest review!

I am a big fan of Archer's voice so I was really excited to read Travis's story. Travis is a character very questionable in Archer's story, he did so many bad choices that it was difficult to love him. In this book, we saw mostly his redemption, how he is struggling to atone with Archer and his family about his errors and his mother's choices. We also understand him much more, as a child who grow up with a father that abandoned him and a mother that always choose herself over him. Mia Sheridan's writing is on point as always and if you loved Archer's voice you should definitely give this book a try.
I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I love all of Mia Sheridan's books that I have read before and this has inspired me to read more of her books going forward. I had my reservations because Travis was such a negative character in the first book that it made me not want to root for him to have a good story, but by the end of this book I was so ready for him to have his happy ending. Loved this!

Absolutely loved this book soo much! Thanks couldn’t put it down and read it all from start to finish! If you liked Archers voice, then Travis is a must!!

"It's meant to work that way, isn't it?...All the things that have brought us pain carve a distinct hole in our heart, and there's someone else out there with the perfect something that will fill the void. And in turn, we get to do the same for them. And suddenly, it all makes sense. It all fits."
I was genuinely wondering how Mia Sheridan was going to get me to like Travis after reading Archer's Voice. This book was such a good redemption arc for his character, and I'm happy we got to see good sides of him that make him more likable for readers.
Sheridan goes a great job of making us understand why Archer's Voice Travis behaved the way he did. I enjoyed that his journey in this book was about not only earning forgiveness, but also learning how to forgive himself and move on from the things that hurt him growing up. Haven Torres was the perfect unexpected missing piece that helped soften all of Travis' rough edges.
Having Haven be a visitor in town was the perfect set up for this book. I think their connection was strongest as friends if I'm being very honest. It was fun seeing Travis get jealous, but their romance wasn't anything too exciting for me. Haven's fear of abandonment was annoying in the way it manifested with her feelings for Travis.
My favorite parts without a doubt were our Archer and Bree crumbs. We finally got a Travis and Archer confronting the past type scene and if we're being honest, that's the main reason I wanted to go into this. I needed justice for Archer!!
If you've read and enjoyed AV, then this book is definitely worth a read for a Travis redemption arc and sweet Archer/Bree family bits. I left this book liking Travis a whole lot more, but I can't tell you what happens in like 70% of this?
Thank you Netgalley, Sourcebook Bloom Books, and Mia Sheridan for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Another classic Mia Sheridan novel. I loved it. I will say I was genuinely nervous to read this because I absolutely hated Travis in Archer’s Voice… but I will say, he did redeem himself, in my opinion. I immediately had to tell my friends that although they don’t like Travis, they NEED to read this! It’ll change their feelings 100%.

I think maybe I didn't want Travis to get a redemption.....
This was an okay book. Coming off Archer's Voice, I was expecting something that pulled on my heart strings just as much and this just didn't deliver. I appreciate that Travis was given the opportunity to learn and grow as a human, but maybe I'm just still bitter. Oops.
Thank you Bloom and Mia Sheridan for the ARC!

A return back to Pelion, Maine as Travis’ story is told. This small town chief of police has always been second best. But in this novel, Travis learns that maybe that isn’t necessarily the case. He must learn to “lose it all or lose it all”. He meets Haven Torres who is a temporary addition to the town. Along with her brother, Easton, Haven is running to escape her own path. As Haven and Travis spend more time together though, they start to realize that maybe it’s time to stop running and plant some roots of their own. A fantastic story of redemption for Travis and another great read by Mia Sheridan.

The redemption story I didn’t know I needed!
I read “Travis” directly after finishing “Archer’s Voice” - and I was skeptical (if you know you know). But wow - Mia Sheridan proved me wrong 100%! Taking a completely unlikable character and redefining their character, showing such growth - what epic transformation. Tender, heartfelt and absolutely beautiful. I loved the added benefit of the glimpses we got into Archer & Bree’s lives as well!
Thank you so much to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books for the gifted copy in exchange for my honest review.

4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
Travis as a redemption arc following Archer’s Voice includes some slight spoilers. I would read it after reading Archer’s Voice, or just read Travis as a standalone. Thinking back to Travis is Archer’s Voice and my toxic trait to fall for the bad boy in romance books. I knew there was something redeemable about Travis (I never truly “hated” him). I couldn't wait to read this one.
This one takes place 8 years after Archer’s Voice, Travis is now Chief of Police in the small town of Pelion. He just caught the woman he thought he wanted to marry, cheating. Things are slowly falling apart for him. While on patrol he notices a car filled with plants. So full, the driver can’t see. He later learns that Haven, the plant lady, is the sister of the man he caught his ex with. When his rental is flooded he books a room at the only B&B with a vacancy. Haven happens to be staying at the same B & B, providing Travis the perfect opportunity to form a friendship while she’s in town and a way to seek revenge on her brother.
This is a true redemption arc. The romance is a slow burn with plenty of chemistry, and pining. I loved the way the book focused on Travis and his growth. I love that it includes the evolution of his relationship with Archer, Bree, and their three children. Haven’s story was just touching. She’s had a tough life but is optimistic. Her sweet and bubbly personality was the opposite of Travis who carries a lot of bitterness around. Travis was different than I expected. He started as the cocky and arrogant person I knew, but when we get inside his head he’s a much different person, there was a lot of pain and self-doubt. It’s going to be hard to say this, but there were moments when he was a bit whiny and immature for his age. What a reminder of the way our experiences sometimes affect us.
The found family at the B&B and the banter between Travis and Haven are a lot of fun and I found myself laughing. There is a good balance of humor underneath this layered story about pain and feelings of abandonment and heartbreaking moments. The small-town vibes are strong in this one. There are town festivals and town meetings. Since this is the first book for the upcoming Pelion Series, I’m excited to see what is next.

Travis by Mia Sheridan is a great follow up and a long time coming from Archers Voice which I loved! I'm sure most would agree Travis was not well liked in Archers Voice but this book was his hero moment. It was great to see his growth and how he has changed. Haven was a great female character for Travis. I loved the romance as this author always delivers!

Who doesn’t love a good redemption story? And after what Travis did with that boys night out, I wasn’t really sure how Mia was going to redeem him. But she did! Small town romance 8 years after Archers Voice. Which I am happy for because I felt like we needed time to get past our history with Travis. Haven and Travis had an understated chemistry that I don’t see written often in books, so I really enjoyed that. I also loved that a small little question I had from Archers Voice was answered (I won’t give any spoilers). Haven wasn’t my favorite MC, but I think she fits Travis perfectly. I rated Archers Voice 3.5 and I give Travis the same rating! Definitely read it!

Archer's Voice was my favorite book of 2022, so I went into Travis with VERY high hopes, and Mia Sheridan delivered! Travis's redemption story was so beautiful. I absolutely adored Haden! I was constantly laughing out loud at some of the things she said. I also enjoyed getting little sneak peeks into Archer and Bree's life and seeing how Travis's relationship changed with them.
