I really enjoyed this book. I had been disappointed in previous books in the series; I thought they had so much potential that was not realized. This books fully realized its potential. I love an intelligent, educated heroine, and we have that here with Elizabeth. She was a fantastic character. I had been on the fence about Morgan in the previous books, but I really liked him in this book and appreciated how more of his character was revealed.

I really enjoyed reading this one! Between the romance and the mystery woven throughout, I was never bored and kept fully engaged. I flew through this in a day. The writing was beautiful and I highly recommend!

Bridgerton vibes meets Nancy Drew sleuthing in a read that captured my attention from the start and kept me interested.

Elizbeth & Collin are my new favourite bookish couple. I absolutely adore her fire, and I will never not love a MMC who is intelligent (even if he starts out lacking some emotional intelligence!). The story line was engaging and kept me invested, and I especially enjoy a romance that doesn't focus only on the characters' relationships. I was equally invested in solving the mystery, and Kristin Vayden ahs a knack for dropping tidbits at the perfect time to keep you hooked.

Would absolutely recommend and can't wait to read absolutely everything else by Kristin Vayden!

A book with a beautiful cover. I liked the dynamics between the two main characters, their constant banter, the slow but realistic development of the relationship and their feelings, and the emphasis on the importance of education and culture even in women highlighted by Elizabeth's character. The secondary characters are also worthy.

Really enjoyed this action packed, heart racing, sexy and fun adventure filled with exciting charters, interesting situations and undeniable passion.....great reading from beginning to end. Great reading!

This checked off everything I look for in a book. Was not disappointed. Really enjoyed this book. I will read more from this author. Must read. Historical fiction oh yeah. Hotness and must read all the way.
