A very readable start to a new series. I enjoyed the interaction between Emma, near friends and her grandmother. And setting the book in a tiny house community was different. But the ending felt rushed and there were a few secondary characters who didn’t really seem to serve any purpose.
This was a delightful book to read. The characters are so full of life. Emma has her hands full with Granny Rose. I am sure Granny Rose is going to be adding a lot of action to future books. Emma needs to find a way to get Granny Rose some classes with using her gun before she hurts someone or even herself.
Granny Rose is a busy matchmaker for her granddaughter Emma. Has she actually found a match for her?
The murders had everyone questioning who could of done them and even suspecting each other.
Granny Rose seems to be an easy target because of her determination and lack of fear. This woman grabs life and lives it. Matching her up with a big dog, Butch, and living in a tiny house is really hilarious.
Merlin is a wonderful hacker but it makes you wonder what else he is doing. This man can find all kinds of information and it is questionable if he is doing it legally.
Emma's friends are going to have their hands full helping her keep track of Granny Rose. Now that Granny Rose is working for Jade (one of Emma's friends) things can only get more entertaining. Granny Rose is not use to working for a living or living life in a small house. Living in a caboose is going to be very interesting especially with Butch.
The discovery of the murderer is surprising, the ending is full of action and some laughter.
I highly recommend this book if you are looking for some laughter and suspense tied together. If you can figure out the murderer I will be surprised.
"No Small Murders" by Lena Gregory is a new mystery series and worth the read for cozy mystery lovers.
Such an enjoyable read! Romance, suspense, murder.... I couldn't put it down. I simply had to know how it ends. I kept guessing till the very end.
This was a fun book. I love reading about tiny homes. It was like c of like a murder mystery too and in the end it shows mo matter what you can always find a frienf. This book was approved by netgalley and the publisher for me to read and review.
This was a fun cozy mystery with a unique setting - a tiny home community. The characters were likeable and funny, especially Granny Rose! The mystery itself kept me interested and the story moved along at a good pace. I didn't find the reveal to be all that shocking and the ending tied up fairly quickly. However, I found this an overall enjoyable read. Readers that enjoy cozies will likely enjoy this one. I look forward to reading more titles by this author.
No Small Murder by Lena Gregory is the first book in the Mini-Meadows Mystery series. Emma Wells is a downsize specialist concentrating mostly on helping the people who want to live in Mini-Meadows, Florida, a tiny home community. When Gemma discovers one of her client's dead body and her friends become suspects in the murder Emma starts sleuthing. I really like the characters in this story. They are well-developed and very likable. Granny Rose is a real hoot! I am looking forward to Gemma's next case and hope we find out soon just who exactly Jacob Bennett is and why he is in Mini Meadows.
Thank you to the publisher for allowing me to read this eARC!
This was a good, cozy mystery. I enjoyed the tiny house community aspect and I loved a lot of the characters and twists. I will say though, it seems like there were a few unnecessary characters in the mix. Some of the writing felt rushed but overall it was decent.
I really enjoyed this murder mystery. This fits well into what is often known of the cozy mystery type book, as although there are some dangerous parts, at no point do you feel on edge from it all, and there aren’t any expletives in the book. I would recommend to fans of the cozy murder mystery sector
Overall I do not regret this read and I gave it 3.5 stars. There were some parts that I did not see coming but a lot of the story I guessed along the way. The story did not feel too long or too short. The story wrapped up, in my opinion, very quickly and seemed sort of rushed to me. I found myself wondering why certain characters were introduced to only serve a purpose for a small period of time. I did like Emma and Granny Rose and their relationship felt authentic as well as the friendships in the story. The story ended on a good note for the second book!
I enjoyed this book. It's fast paced, interesting story and has great characters.
Thank you to Lena Gregory, NetGalley and the publisher for the arc of this book.
A tiny house community cozy
Ms. Gregory creates an intriguing cozy with a look inside the logistics of moving into a tiny house. She gives us a hint of what’s involved and a mystery with a variety of characters. A close friend group, a shady character or two and greed propel the plot. Her community of mixed aged residents and small businesses sounds like Utopia, until the murders occur.
Well plotted out with twists, it is an enjoyable read.
I requested and received a Netgalley ARC gratis and offer my opinion in the same.
I enjoyed this book very much. It’s engaging and fast paced. I love the characters. I did have a sneaky suspicion as to who the killer is and was mostly right. #NoSmallMurder #NetGalley
