I have been provided with a review copy of Dragon Lover from NetGalley for an impartial review. Oh my gosh this story was just epic. I just couldn’t put this story down and I was just captivated by everything that was taking place. The author truly outdid herself with this story. This story just had my emotions all over the place and I am so sad to see this book end. I just can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.

Kendrick is the Sienna Dragon King. He’s helping with the problems on Zora and has made been trying to make a friend of a pink dragon. Kendrick follows the entity over the border and finds himself trying to keep from causing a war. Esha is an Asavori Ranger and doesn’t believe there are dragons. She’s a protector of her people with a focused determination. Esha will make the decision to work with a stranger to stop a new enemy from hurting her family. As Esha and Kendrick work together, a Dragon Lover may just be what these two become.
Donna Grant continues her Dragon Kings series with the book Dragon Lover.

This is book 5 in the Dragon Kings series and I would absolutely read the previous books before reading this one as they are all building on a bigger story line. In this one we get Kendrick and Esha's story. Kendrick is a dragon king who while yearning for peach, finds that it isn't on Zora any more than it was on Earth. When he is following their hidden foe, he makes the decision to cross the forbidden border. And comes into contact with Esha. Esha has worked hard to become an Elven Ranger. When she comes face to face with Kendrick, they establish a truce in order to try to bring down their mutual foe. But the longer they are together, the more they feel for each other. No matter how forbidden it may be.

I really liked this story. Esha is this character that I absolutely loved-and she totally reminded me of the elves from LOTR! And I loved it!!! I might have totally fangirled about that LOL! Her and Kendrick had these interactions that I absolutely loved, and at times cracked up at! I loved everything about them together, but beyond that I also loved their characters in general. My only reason that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5? I really felt like this story should have been one of the longer stories instead of a novella. This couple was so great and at times I felt like it was a little rushed just because of the length. Otherwise, I loved everything about it!

Another great story from Dragons on Zora. Novella is short but doesn't lack intrigue, passion, and a good read. In this one, Kendrick finds his mat in Asavori Ranger Esha. Will they catch the foe?
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley

Zora may have been made in the image of Earth, but it’s a far cry from home. For too long the Kings have been on the defensive, betrayed time and again. When I started reading I couldn't put it down I read the book in one day.
Donna Grant is magnifysent writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book

Alright I haven’t been the biggest fan of the Kings on Zora, but I fully admit that I LOVED Dragon Lover. The addition of Elves is exactly what this new world needed, and I desperately want more of them. Towards the end I was really interested in what Savita and Dain could become, I hope they eventually get a story.

I also loved Kendrick and Esha together. Overall it was a great addition to the Dark Universe.

This was my first book of the Dragon Kings series and I have to say I’m surprised! This was a fun book packed with action and a fair amount of romance. It would have been easier to understand some references if I had read the previous ones but it can be read as a stand-alone! I thought the plot was rather simple but it really is a complex world, full of species and characters to get to know.

Thank you NetGalley for an ARC in exchange of an honest review.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Evil Eye Concepts for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is part of a series, but is an okay read as a stand alone. I do think it is a better read if you have read some of the others in the series. This is a novella and a reprint from 2014. There is alot going on, but I do enjoy reading about dragons. This is Esha an elf warrior and Kendrick a dragon king's story. 3 stars

Yes. Definitely a huge, resounding, ecstatic yes from me. I was drawn in from the beginning and rooting for both MC's as they navigated the tricky waters the clans faced. There was so much to enjoy despite the shorter length of the story compared to many other Dragon King novels. While there were a couple moments that the inner monologues annoyed me, the MC's overcame incredible 0dds to make their bond work, to fully embrace everything they needed in one another. I can't wait to see what happens next in this world!

Dragon King series
Dragon Lover by Donna Grant,
Oh my. A good read, though I didn't read in order you should this is book 5 of 6 so far. Kendrick is on Zora hunting an invisible foe who has already killed a couple of his kind. An unexpected opportunity has him diving across his land’s boundary into the next country against the laws of Zora. This is a good boom. I have not read in the series and now I'm excited to do so while I wait for book 6 of the Dragon King series to be released in June.

Dragon King Kendrick just longs for home and peace but during his latest patrol near the border he finds himself in a fight with an invisible foe - the fight takes him across the border where he meets a Ranger Elf , Esha.
The Rangers are supposed to kill anyone crossing their border but Kendrick convinces Esha to work with him to find and kill the invisible enemy ............he has realised that she is his fated mate
After waiting so long he cannot give her up , but having worked hard all her life to be taken seriously as a Ranger can she give up what she holds dear to be with him .

This is yet another Dragon King book set on the world called Zora , the world the dragons from Earth were exiled to eons ago ......... an enjoyable read in itself but I do wish the storylines progressed a little faster - who or what is the invisible enemy , where is the missing Dragon King ?

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own

I loved this book!

For me Donna Grant is at her best when she is writing her Dark Kings series which star the Dragon Kings.

The detail in the books, this one included is excellent.

Her books are some of the best I have read and she has a wonderful way with words and of storytelling that makes you feel that you are in the story with them.

I thought that it was well written with a brilliant storyline that had me well and truly hooked - the book had it all!

It is 5 stars from me – very highly recommended and a sexy story to read too, another 5 star book from Donna Grant!

I enjoy Donna Grant no matter what genre she's writing. I especially love the paranormals. Dragon Lover did not disappoint. I enjoyed the action and the characters. I've not read this entire series and while I'm sure I'd have understood the story and the tangential characters better if I had, it did not hinder my enjoyment of this book at all.

Esha and Kendrick were both very sympathetic and I was invested in them individually and their relationship. Their story had a plenty of tension and reasons to stay apart but when you meet your fated mate all that is merely a nuisance that must be overcome.

The stakes are high which makes for great suspense and tension. As these two work to save their respective worlds and fight their inevitable end, there's plenty to keep the reader involved and intrigued.

I'll add this to my list of good read from Ms. Grant.

Thanks to the author and NetGalley for the ARC.

Dragon Lovers continues the story of the Dragon Kings and would be better read as part of the series. Kendrick is on Zora hunting an invisible foe who has already killed a couple of his kind. An unexpected opportunity has him diving across his land’s boundary into the next country against the laws of Zora. On the other side of the border, Kendrick comes face to face with elves whom he didn’t know existed and he is drawn to the warrior leader of the Ranger group, Esha. Besides fighting the invisible foe, Kendrick and Esha have to prevent a war between their peoples as it becomes clear they are fated mates. Action packed and fast paced, Kendrick and Esha ‘s story flies by for a hard won but satisfying HEA that will leave you anticipating the next Dragon King tale. My voluntary, unbiased review is based upon a review copy from NetGalley.

Finally Kendrick’s story is here and it’s phenomenal!

Kendrick is on Zora making friends with a cute little pink dragon (finally we get to meet a pink dragon!!) when he catches sight of their invisible enemy out of the corner of his eye and goes after them. He is severely injured in a way that as a Dragon King he has never experienced when a mysterious group of warriors led my the beautiful and brave, Esha come to his aid.

Kendrick is surprised to discover that this group who lives far away from the other human communities and close to the border are Elves!!!

Esha and her warriors have also been trying to put an end to the invisible enemy and Kendrick offers that they should work together. Esha agrees but her community is not keen on trusting a stranger.

Kendrick and Esha have instant chemistry. Esha is brave, smart, strong, independent and a great leader. Kendrick is patient and sensitive and falls hard.

I love when the hero falls first ❤️ together they try to unravel a mystery and build an alliance between dragons and elves. There is a little moment of heartbreak and we get to see more of what’s going on with Merrill.

The only thing I didn’t like was that they started off focused on the invisible enemy who has been attacking the Dragon Kings and Dragons who also seems to be attacking the elves and then suddenly switched to dealing with a completely different enemy and there was no follow up or resolution with the original enemy and it’s getting a bit frustrating that we are not learning anything else about who or what they are. It’s really getting dragged out.

Donna Grant does such an excellent job with this story. Readers will definitely decide that each page is worth turning. All of the characters are very strong and the plot is attention grabbing.

Wow, this book really had me on the edge of my seat, waiting for a big battle!

This book follows Kendrick, a bit of a loner who is determined to befriend a “pink” as well as be the one who stops the invisible foe. While on patrol, he decides to take on their “big bad” on his own, without warning the others. This battle takes him over the border of dragon territory and into that of humans. It’s here that he encounters Esha, a warrior elf who saves his life and vouches for him with her fellow elves.

The elves have as many different clans as the dragons, but they are gifted with different magics. The magic of rune reading is ultimately what puts them all on a 3 day timeline to hunt down the foe and perhaps have some romance. Esha’s warrior oath means she can’t develop anything serious with Kendrick, but that doesn’t stop either of them from sizzling in all their scenes together. This book introduced what feels like a whole new world, had me rooting for quick resolution of their enemy, and somehow made the political landscape the dragons on Zora are dealing with that much more complicated. This short book really delivered more than expected!
