Heart pounding thriller that left me on the edge of my seat. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. Definitely one of the best books this year.

A really good book. I was not familiar with this author, but after reading the synopsis I really wanted to try it out. It is a great book. The characters and storyline make it a page turner.

An interesting, well-crafted look at female friendships in a southern gothic setting. It reminded me a lot of Rachel Hawkins’ titles and I could see this being a huge hit for fans of Gone Girl and other twisty baby thrillers.
The main character is great. Human, nuanced, flawed. I didn’t see the ending coming and it came at me like a sucker punch.
The Good Ones gets 4/5 from me. Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this title.

Wow! This was fantastic. I couldn't figure out the end. Very good characterization and the plot moved along at a good pace.

I appreciate a good Southern Gothic about a woman who returns home to deal with the crap that happened long ago, but I would have enjoyed this one more if the characters' motivations aroused more sympathy, and the "explainer" in the last few chapters had been handled more deftly.

Some of the relationship dynamics were a bit off, but otherwise, I thought this book was engaging and entertaining.
