I’ve started reading Marked for Each Other - The Princess and The Barbarian by Melissa McTernan but found it boring and slow and dragging. The writing style is too forced. This book is not a page turner nor fast paced, it’s slow and boring. A strong FMC? Who? Because the princess is not.

I don't really read romances anymore, but this one caught my eye.
And to be honest, even for a hardened old horror reader like me, it was a lovely enjoyable story. Plenty of feel good moments, great characters, only a few eye rolling moments - it was a winner to be honest.
Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity.

What a sweet romance with such a good story! The plot is well-thought out, and it’s a fast read as a result. I’ve never read this author, but I’m finding her back catalog now. The world she built here is detailed, but not too much. The characters feel real, and their conflicts were low-angst. There is a spiritual element in this world as well. I liked how the author didn’t hit you over the head with it, it’s woven in here and there.

I loved it- a quick read, great plot, fantasy that doesn’t ask you to know too much to follow. Highly recommend.

This book starts off exciting of princess escaping family imprisonment to neighboring woods. She finds her knight who '"saves" and protects her. Both h&h have secrets which has creates many betrayal with twists and turns. They make a good couple and have a great connection. I liked it. This book was a page turner and fast paced. I was entertained all throughout the book. However, it eludes to a prophecy but never really explains it which I think would have benefited the book. . This It is an easy flowing read I would recommend this book because this author is keeps you entertained with this enjoyable book. I look forward to her other books.

This book wasn’t a bad book. It felt like nothing happened for most of the book. But I liked the concepts and ideas of this world. It didn’t need a lot of works building for the world to be understandable. And I liked that.

The princess has a birthmark on her face that has caused her own people to think she’s cursed. However, in the world of the clans this birthmark makes her revered and considered blessed. The barbarian is so wholesome and sweet. Barely into his 20s and raising his siblings. I loved them both and thought they worked well together as individuals. Both finding strength within themselves to do what needs to be done.

There were some weird parts of the plot but nothing that would take away from the book itself. It was still a very good read and I would read more books by the author.

This was a fantastic feel good fantasy romance. This book has a strong FMC, a loving family driven MMC and plenty in their path attempting to thwart their budding romance.

If you like mystical prophecies, castles and super cute family moments this book is for you!

I loved this book! Historical fantasy romance was a category I did not know I needed so much of in my life until now. If you liked Kati Wildes Midwinter Mail Order Bride then you will love this book. I loved the Male main character as he was caring and nurturing but also a fighter and born leader. The female main character was someone that deserved a happy ending and I loved her strength and the perseverance through everything that happened to her. The representation of un-perfect beauty through the Port Stain birth mark that the FMC has on her face was exactly what romance needs right now. With beauty standards being debated and talked about more this representation of her imperfect beauty made me love this story even more.

The typical predestined love story. Well written and crafted, with characters so real that they drove me to despair at certain times (while I had a quick lunch to go back to lab work).

Odessa is a princess who was born with a special trait, which made her father think she was cursed. He arrested her and never let her out of her room in the castle.
He decided to run away when he reached the age of his deceased mother and in the enchanted forest he finds Alaric.

Alaric was a clansman of the Clan of the Wolf and was looking for answers to his prayers when she appears in front of him.

Both needing each other.

For many twists and turns in this book, love always wins, right?

A book I loved reading, addictive from start to finish.Note this title!

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

You know, despite the vaguely off-putting title and truly heinous cover, I thought the concept of this seemed interesting. Unfortunately, concept was the only thing this book delivered, with weak writing, characters that were always kept at a distance from the reader, and a plot I couldn't suspend my disbelief for.

Ah well, you live you learn.

A suspenseful historical romance that will keep your head spinning. The ending is a killer, no pun intended! You have to read this book.
