The Art of Chilling out for Women is written as a guide to help with the overworked, overstressed life many women lead. I enjoyed the general vibe of the book, and feel the affirmations within can be very helpful.
Each section has an affirmation, call to action, as well as a holistic prescription featuring Mother Nature, feng shui and gemstones. I found the affirmations and call to action useful, but the holistic prescriptions became repetitive and I just stopped really reading them.
Lots of positives in this book, but definitely meant to be read in small chunks when needed.
This is an interesting concept for a book. I am all about chilling out and inviting more calm and ease into my life. This isn't exactly my cup of tea, but it was interesting and I got a lot out of it still. I would say 3 1/2 stars, but I like to round up, so 4 stars.
I was very intrigued by this book, and it was my first ever self help book. Unfortunately, I had a hard time getting through this. I felt like so much of it was repetitive. The book could have definitely been more condensed and had more substance. I feel like if you want to include "holistic prescription" for every single thing there should be a better explanation provided for readers. It would have probably been best saved as a general application at the end of each section of the book. There was a lot going on, but not enough at the same time.
Im sure this book will call to people who enjoy a vague self help book experience

I’m a person who suffers from depression and anxiety among other things, and this book really put things into a different perspective for me. Loved it!

I'm going to be honest, self help books aren't usually a book I like to read because I feel like the advice given can be very pushy.
I felt the the opposite when reading The Art of Chilling Out for Women, I like it was written more as a guide and a reference to look back when you are need it the most. I will definitely be using some of the exercises and calls to action in my daily life.
