A high fantasy saga that combines spiritual exploration with a touch of spicy romance, The Singing Shore I: Sea and Song is the first installment in the trilogy sequel to the award-winning miniseries.

Mythology and folklore combine with magic and roots to nature. A very grounding and yet fantastical story. It seems to be part of a series but I was unaware of that when I picked it up. It’s say it can be read as a stand-alone but I am left with some questions.

Many Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing the digital review copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
Sea and song is the fifth book in the Zemnian series but the first in Dasha’s books, and I honestly wished I had read the other books because I had absolutely no idea what was going on at first, and I don’t think the author did a very good job of merging the stories because I think the author would have assumed that you would have read the previous books. Once you get pasted the initial introduction, the story does pick up, it’s an interesting mixture of Slavik folklore in beautiful but harsh locations.

Wonderful! Virtual immersion in a complex world filled with intrigue, politics, betrayal, humanity, and finding true friendship and love. A really strong Russian/Slavic vibe that really enhanced the strong and complex plot!
