I really loved this graphic novel. It was so much fun to read there were laugh out loud moments, And also the mental health issues I could very much relate to, I really am thankful for the indication of it. Specially as someone with anxiety. I’ve always adored Meg’s cute squishy faced artwork on Instagram and I can’t wait for this novel to release so i own a copy.
I'm a huge fan of Meg Adams' Instagram, @artbymoga so when I saw that she was writing a book I jumped at the chance to read it. These pages are filled with the charming, hilarious, and relatable comics we know and love! I'm so excited to be able to share this book with the patrons at my library who aren't on social media! Adams' art has a way of touching the heart as well as the funny bone and I found myself laughing aloud as well as audibly awwwwing! Do yourself a favor and pick this book up as the best form of self care!

Cute, funny, and relatable. Meg invites us into the adventures of her life, along with her husband, Carson, and their two dogs, Boedy and Luna.
One of the first things you'll notice is how expressive the art is just in itself. Emotions shine right through, sometimes quite dramatically, making it all the more entertaining. Her tales are dripping with body positivity, and she shows us her complicated relationship with the sun. Carson's reactions to her antics are hilarious too.
Some particularly millennial moments: throwing things into the washer that shouldn't be, raging at cooking show fails, obsession with Halloween, listening to true crime, and of course, pumpkin spice.
This collection makes for a great gift, or centerpiece for your coffee table. Life can be hard sometimes, but Meg makes it a little better.
This is such a funny comic book! It' so relatable in our daily life tho i never experience snow at all lol.. go and grab this book when you're in need for a quick read and good laugh!
When this was recommended by a friend, I was eager to pick this up. This was cute and I wasn't disappointed by this set of comics.
This collection of comics are generally single-page, four-panel comics that cover a wide variety of topics, seasons and feelings throughout it. Which means, some of them are going to hit more than others as there is a big range, but also means, that I imagine this could really land for a lot of people and even if one of the pages don't hit for you one day, they could easily hit on another.
The art style really helped sell a lot of the stories. It fit so well with the content. It made it feel a little silly at times, but in a way that still felt grown-up and mature. There was a balance there that I thought Adams handled really well which made it more enjoyable.
With the variety of comics in here, I think this would make a wonderful coffee table book that you could thumb through from day to day or whenever the need strikes to have a good time.
This was a lot of fun and if you'd love a set of comics that would be fun to read through a little bit at a time, this would be a wonderful copy to have.
Thank you to NetGalley, Andrews McMeel Publishing and Meg Adams for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was incredibly cute, and so so relatable. I will be purchasing this to put on my shelf when it comes out in March. In styling it reminds me a little bit of Sarah Andersens series of books. Would most definitely recommend to friends and family.
WHAT A GREAT READ!! I immediately told a bunch of people to go request this on NetGalley and will be placing a paperback preorder for a friend soon because this made me laugh so much.
Not everything hit home for me, but some of the comics were so on point I was shaking with laughter and had tears streaming down my face.
It was a very fun read and I highly recommend this comic for everyone! Thank you NetGalley for the ARC. My thoughts and opinions are my own and weren’t swayed by receiving an ARC.
What a cute concept……comics that show what adulting is like. It even went into the more serious issue of anxiety, self-love and mental health. You know how they say that jokes that are based on truth make you laugh, well you will be laughing all the way through this one!
5 stars for the amazing illustrations and how relatable these comics are!
These comics are absolutely hilarious! I recognized the illustrator's art from some that I've seen floating around online. They picture a lot of funny IYKYK scenarios that we *millenials* may relate to. I especially loved the ones that feature keeping Halloween decor for year-round regular decoration, the ones about ALLERGIES [these killed me bwahaha!], and the struggle of wanting to be productive versus wanting to relax. I loved this collection of comics. Can't wait for another comic book illustration from Meg Adams!

AMAZING!
I loved everything of this graphic novel/collection of comics! The drawings are so cute and funny, a bit Rick&Morty style at times, they really cheered me up! The gags are super fun and incredibly relatable, since me and my boyfriend have the exact same dynamics! I also appreciated the more serious pages about anxiety, self love, mental health: they are subtle and gentle, and make you think about significant stuff with a smile on your face anyway.
These comics are cute and filled with energy, and they will appeal to people who enjoy Sarah's Scribbles and Catana Chetwynd's relationship comics. The book includes a nice blend of self-deprecation and reflection on more serious issues, and the mental health comics don't feel saccharine.
There's some occasional language and crass humor, including self-deprecating cartoons of the author in various states of undress. Overall, the book is cute, and it will appeal to Millennial and older Gen Z readers who will relate to the jokes. This is the kind of book that most people will want to borrow from the library and not buy, unless they're a big fan of the author, but there is enough variety in the book that it doesn't feel overly repetitive.
Why Are You Like This? is a collection of comics. They cover numerous seasons and daily routines, as well as life's little complications. From holiday deals to seasonal changes, allergies, and body image, this book has laughs for every time of the year. I love the art, I love how relatable this work is, and I love how much it made me laugh out loud and chuckle to myself as I read it.
Webcomics and 1-4 panel comics are becoming much more common in collections, which is something I'm glad to see. This is a wonderful addition to the medium as a whole and I definitely recommend it.
This was a cute and relatable set of comics about adulting as a millennial. There were many comics I totally related to, but there were also many I didn’t at all. I thought it was cute, fun and is definitely one of those comics that I am sure many people will find themselves in.
Received a digital ARC of this book via NetGalley.
Originally requested this title because I had seen her art clips on Facebook. I’m glad she was able to make a book with them all. It’s beautiful and hilarious. I can totally relate to every image!
Loved it! It was a fun read. I mean, it made me really giggle sometime and most of the situations were so relatable. I really enjoyed the book, those Meg’s facial expressions that made everything funnier. Definitely gonna gift this book to my friends.
Having seen some of Meg Adams' comics before I was eager to pick up a whole collection of them. So many of her comics are easy to relate to whether it be regarding her relationships, her pets or her personality. It was a quick and fun read that had me laughing the whole time, while also often nodding in agreement with the comics. I really love how she's able to communicate things in a short format that is so relatable and humorous.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for an advance review copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
This was honestly such a good time, the comics are very relatable and will lighten your mood. You may or may not agree with the author's favourite season or Halloween decorations but it will make you smile. It's a collection of everyday experiences of the couple with their pets, seasons, holidays and so much more.
The illustrations are cute and are presented in a 2-4 panel comic style. I will look forward to more work from the artist author in future.

This collection of comics is utterly delightful. I laughed so hard at so many of them. It is a fun collection of Meg and Carson and a glimpse into their day to day life and also goes through the seasons of the year. The artwork is beautiful and funny. Adams captured so many different emotions in each of these comics. This is a book I will definitely revisit again and again.
Why Are You Like This? by Meg Adams is so on point! I read this whole book with a huge smile plastered on my face. It is so relatable and funny. I had so many "oh my gosh that's so me!" moments. The illustrations are wonderful and without a doubt add to the comedic genius. Would definitely recommend!
