I absolutely loved this book. It's very funny and relatable to any millenial homebody. I've been recommending left and right and still find myself laughing at some of the pages when I think of them. Loved it and hoping for more from Adams soon.

Book Summary:
Who doesn't love millennial humor? Why Are You Like This? Is a collection of comics about millennial life, including marriage, adulthood in general, self-love, self-care, pet ownership, etc. It's perfect if you need help looking at your life and finding something to laugh about!
But seriously, Why Are You Like This? Is a sweet and humorous comic about daily life and perspective.
My Review:
If you need a good laugh, may I recommend reading Why Are You Like This? The title alone does an excellent job of giving you an idea of what sort of humor you'll find within the pages.
Meg and Carson couldn't be more different. One is an introvert, the other an extrovert. You'd think that wouldn't work – but it does! This combination is also fairly common, so I feel like many readers will relate to the humorous situations this couple finds themselves in.
Obviously, my favorite arcs revolved around the pets and other chaotic humor. It's far too relatable, and I love it! The romantic moments were both sweet and funny, which is always appreciated. Read this if you need a smile.

Fun collection of little relatable short comic strips. Would recommend. It's fast to read but pretty worth it and entertaining.

So cute, so funny, so relatable. I love it!
I fell in love with this couple and their dogs. I can see a bit of myself on every page of this book.
Thanks to Andrews McMeel Publishing for the ARC!

I love Meg Adams. This did not disappoint. Hilarious.
adult life moments made funny. This is what happens when you get comfortable with someone and that is when it is good.

Hysterical! I love these comics, and even though they’re silly, they’re honestly very relatable. It reminds me of my relationship with my own husband. Sometimes we’re all a bit weird and messy but we like to hide that from other people for fear of embarrassment. These stories embrace that.

I've loved Meg Adams' comics on Instagram for ages, so I was excited to see them all together here! The illustrations are so fun!

I wasn’t familiar with Meg Adams (artbymoga) prior to getting an advanced digital copy of this book but I did look her up on IG. These comics were cute and made me smile a few times but I don’t feel like I read anything “new” if that makes sense? Like I had the feeling these were all memes I’ve seen before, just not in cartoon format. There was no real flow to the book, just a new cartoon on each page. Some were relatable for sure. When I went to the IG page, it seems to me like almost all of the comics in the book have already been posted on IG, not sure if this compilation of her comics would appeal to already fans unless they wanted a book to flip through of their favourite ones?
Anyway, cute and was a super quick read.

Meg Adams makes the funniest comics ever, and they are so relatable!
Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the advanced copy of the book.

A humorous collection of adult life moments from relationships, to adultung, to self-care. Thoughtful telling of the realness of when two are comfortable in their relationship.

thank you so much to Meg Adams and the publisher for giving me access to the book in exchange for a review. I was actually a fan of hers already. I follow her on Instagram and the book is as hilarious as I expected. and the drawings are so cute!

A book of one-shot cartoon pages, where it's evident quite quickly you'll get more shots at a gun control rally. Does this have anything going for it? Yes, it's more or less chronological, going through the year. One and a half stars.

I an unable to review this title, as it was archived before I had a chance to download and read it. This feedback is only to stop this title from adversely affecting my net galley feedback rate. If in the future I have the opportunity to read this title, I will post a proper review here.

Some mildly entertaining comics about a young couple from the Pacific Northwest and their two dogs. The author is an extrovert and her husband is an introvert, like so many other webcomics. The comics run the gamut of the holidays but Adams's favorite is clearly Halloween which I can appreciate.

i love this author and artist. I feel all of her comics can be in those comic a day tear off calendars. They also make great coffee or bathroom books. Have a couple giggles and realize life is an adventure and everyone can relate to it

Be prepared to recognize some comics! :D And I genuinely do like recognizing online comics when they finally get a print collection. Like, you made it! Published! Heck yeah!
Meg Adams is another in the vein of what I think of as “goblin women.” And I use that phrase affectionately and also identify myself as such. Silly, cozy, exaggerated reactions, each with our own particular hordes and obsessions. Halloween decorations appear A LOT in this book.
Also, pets! Can’t have autobiographical comics without pets, and this time, we get two little yappy-type dogs who basically exist to make noise or be fawned over. Sometimes simultaneously.
I appreciate that Adams adds plumpness to her drawings. Some images of herself are just simple straight lines down the torso, but even that is different from most traditional comics, where a woman would be portrayed with a cinched waist. And then there’s many images where her cup runneth over and we get bits of fat over pant waists, double chins, and stretch marks. The stretch marks in particular impress me, as I don’t think I’ve ever seen artist include those!
There’s also this thing Adams does with her drawings of noses. Most pages, the nose looks like a general cartoon nose. And then…sometimes…it’s this weird dangly Waluigi monstrosity that’s as funny as it is something I NEVER want to see on an actual human being. It’s melted. It’s thin. It’s almost obscene. But it conveys so much the mood of the moment.
A fun and quick read. Thanks to the publisher for the advanced reader copy!

If you like slice of life comics then this one is for you. I found myself laughing out loud, as a pet parent even though of the enemy species. My favourite comics are probably the ones around seasonal peculiarities like summer heat, and fall festival planning. And of course the heart warming moments of love between the couple, peppered with the absurdities of daily life are absolutely the best.

Oh, man, I love this artist's style so much. It combines all of my favorites. I see Sarah Anderson in here, Hyperbole and a Half, Where's My Bubble, Catana Comics. But instead of being The Same Old Thing, it rolls all of my favorites up and gives me what I love with all the humor and heart that I seek when I go looking for comic collections.
Our two main characters, Meg and Carson, live with their two adorable puppers and lead perfectly normal lives. But when one partner is an artist who puts their lives up for others' amusement, every little thing is fodder. And the more relatable it is, the more absolute hysterics I was in.
I appreciate the subtle jokes even more than the outright anvil jokes (though I love a good O_O reaction illustration, too). Like the one about a mug of stress relief tea. Took me a second. Subtle, relatable, absolutely cracked me up.
ArtbyMoga has a new fan.

A delightful collection of humerous comics. The contents were relatable and led to quite a few chuckles and a lot of smiles. I’d recommend this book to someone looking for something amusing.

Oh my goodness, this was so adorable!!
This is a collection of comics from Meg Adams that basically takes us through a year in her life with her husband and dogs. Every scene was so relatable and cute. I found myself laughing out loud while reading some of the panels. I loved the bright colors and the artwork.
