Prior to getting this arc I had, every once in a while, chanced upon some of Meg's comics on Instagram - what can I say, I do love a funny little comic, and her art style is equal parts cute and hilarious, and the charm of her dogs is just irresistible. And while I do prefer for comics to have a plot line with a wider scope, I still enjoyed this collection immensely - it's the perfect light read to relax and have a good laugh with.

Okay so I struggled a little bit with the file type at the start but I figured it out yay! This is a very quick and relaxing read, with a few motivating and reassuring self-reminders sprinkled throughout. I don't think the content's the kind that stays memorable for a long time but it was good while it lasted. Plus I think that's what the author is aiming for anyways so 👍
The graphics is adorable btw! The drawing style, the colour palette were all very much up my street and this collection of comics is without a doubt an appeciated treat for my eyes <3
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a free digital copy of this in exchange for an honest review.
Humorous, relatable, millennial-scape, and tender at parts. This was a fun and breezy read in one sitting. Do check Meg's work online for more such relatable content.
This book was hilarious and adorable. There were some moments in this that were familiar. Additionally excellent were the illustrations.
Without a doubt, I'd suggest you read this book.
A funny collection of bouncy cartoons that deftly illustrate the high lows of figuring out adulthood, as meg Adams puts her life on the page, unafraid to show everything she's been through with her art, sexuality, mental health, relationships, and more. Both funny and serious, and overall a delightful read.
I’ve been following Meg Adams for a while and I will forever loved her and her comics. She’s the best at expressions and capturing the most vulnerable moments and making the most relatable content. Love love love
I absolutely loved this book! I related to it on so many levels, I probably should be embarrassed by that, but this book spoke to me! I would recommend this book to many of my friends,
Thank you NetGalley/publisher for providing me the eARC in exchange of my honest review.
This book made me laugh so much. I related to so many of the strips in this graphic novel. The art was very cute and the stories were extremely hilarious.
I came across this collection of comics about two married people who are quite the opposites. I've never heard of Meg Adams before, so I went in blank. The short comics were cute and some were very relatable and funny. I laughed out loud a couple of times. I especially loved the comics about self care and mental health. I wish there were more of them in the book. If you're looking for a quick and funny read, this is it!

I’ve followed Meg Adams’ work on social media for a while now and I just love how wholesome and relatable it is. Her art is just fun and easy to enjoy, and I was so excited that there’s a book of her work now! It’s a hit! Thank you, NetGalley, for the ARC!
These comics were so cute! The dynamic between the two was so relateable and funny. It had me laughing out loud.
I had a blast reading this one! Funny and relatable, I laughed at situations I knew and others entirely outside my experience. The graphics are superb and very detailed. I had seen Meg's work occasionally on social media, but never at this magnitude, so I don't think you need to be a fan to enjoy it.
I foresee this book being a great gift for any partner on Valentine's Day. Also the perfect self-gift for any forever alone that just wants to have a good read. <3
(4.5/5).
Thanks to Netgalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for the arc.
I was already a fan of Meg Adams, I’ve been following her Instagram for years now. Her comics are cute, relatable, and don’t shy away from tackling more serious subjects like mental health or family issues. I also have two small dogs like she does so it gives me a kick to see the dog mom vibes represented. Her relationship with her husband could literally be my husband and I! A solid first collection of comics, I look forward to more from her!
NetGalley arc!
Very relatable comics, I’ve been following Meg for a while and always found her comics funny and, how to put it, normal, in a way. Like I said I can relate to a lot of them but they’re also very true to life and how people go on about their days. I’d love to read more of her comics in the future for sure!
Funny, relatable, and cute drawings. I love it, perfect for destressing after a long day at work. I recommend this short graphic novel by Meg Adams. Thank you, Netgalley for the ARC.
Miigweetch NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.
Fun, silly, and relatable. This is an easy, breezy read. I enjoyed the comic style and felt it complemented the subject matter. I recommend this to all cohabiting millennials, especially if you find yourself in an “odd couple” situation.
loved everything of this graphic novel/collection of comics! The drawings are so cute and funny. The gags are super fun and incredibly relatable, since me and my boyfriend have the exact same dynamics! I also appreciated the more serious pages about anxiety, self love, mental health: they are subtle and gentle, and make you think about significant stuff with a smile on your face anyway.
A cute, "opposites attract" graphic novel with great artwork and many funny moments featuring Meg (extrovert) and her husband Carson (introvert).
It was the read i needed to take a break from the lengthy books i read nowadays. I read it in one sitting and it wasn't boring at all. The relationship between Meg and Carson was pretty sweet.
A graphic novel definitely worth the read!

That moment when you open up a graphic novel full of shorts and you immediately recognize yourself in every single one!
I loved this, I giggled and snorted honestly it made me smile.
I absolutely love collections of short comics that depict everyday life. Why Are You Like This is a collection of comics with a millennial take on marriage, adulthood, pet ownership, self-love, and self-care. Each and every one of these comics was so totally relatable, I almost felt like Meg Adams was spying on my life! This book is perfect for fans of Debbie Tung's Book Love and Sarah Anderson's Sarah's Scribbles Collections.
