Right off the start, I loved how much more action-packed this one is compared to the first book. I think that is typical though, as the first book has to establish characters and the story world. But in this way, it definitely improved on the pacing and plotting from the first book. I also liked that there were some great horror-esque moments. It’s way more dark and serious than a lot of other vampire books, which I love about it. The tensions and emotions are ramped up even more in this sequel. It is a great continuation from the first book and in a lot of ways I think it’s even better. As with the first book, I think the setting and the world-building are a highlight. I usually love a dual POV, but the shifting between first and third person (I also mentioned this in my review of Belle Morte) is jarring. I think this is a really great series that a lot of people will love and I definitely recommend it if you like vampires. I feel like vampires made a bit of a comeback after falling out of favor for a while, but I think that trend is starting to fizzle out again. That being said, I think Higgin is a fantastic writer and I would love to see what she comes out with next, after this series is finished.

Revelations is the dramatic follow up to Belle Morte, and starts with Renie waking up a freshly turned vampire. There was a lot more action in this instalment since the world building was already in place, which made it a much faster and more gripping read. I wasn't too keen on the romance to be honest - Edmond and Renie felt way too fast in the first book and that wasn't improved here. The other characters were more engaging, but I did mark the book down a bit for how often I had to roll my eyes!

This is the second book in the Belle Morte series, I've read the first one and really enjoyed it so was excited to read this and delve back in to the vampire world.
It's hard to say much about it because I don't want to spoil it for anybody who hasn't read the first one and wants to read them. Check out my review of Belle Morte.
As like the first book this was a quick read. The story picks up Renie's story where the first book finished it was exciting, fast paced with lots of blood and gore!
I loved seeing the different sides to all the characters especially Ysanne.
This was a brilliant sequel definitely a series to read.
Thank you to Netgalley and Wattpad Books for the ARC.

Revelations, the second book in the Belle More series, is an entertaining and easy read, despite some of its simpler qualities. I found that the plot was quite basic, as was the writing style. It wasn't really anything too original, but it was a nice an easy read. If you are looking for Twilight, but less goofy, this might be the book for you. I will say though that my one substantial complaint is that this book is dual POV, and when the chapters switched between characters, it went from first person to third person POV, which I found quite strange. Overall though, this was a pretty enjoyable, simple read that i'm sure some vampire lovers will love.

Currently screaming! I loved the first book and was reached out to review the second and it cannot be beat! These books are so good I cannot find the words.

Revelation is the sequel to Belle Morte and it's a YA fantasy about vampires.
The book begins after the first book's event. While Renie wakes up in bed, I was happy to have a summary of the history since the last book was released in April last year.
In Belle Morte, the love between Edmond and Renie was forbidden. Maybe this time it will. It was interesting to see both POV again. Their relationship is reinforced and Edmond is protective, but not overprotective. No third act broke up to save her, it changes from the general possessive vampire. I love it more because it has more intimacy/passion, action and emotion. I was really glad there was more intimacy/passion because it was a comment that I had written in my last review, the lack of intimacy, and the yo-yo between Edmond and Renie.
After all, Edmond made me melt again when he spoke to Renie in French. Especially when he calls her «Mon Ange»
You will find in this book:
💕YA Romance
🩸Vampire
🥲Emotional Moment
⚔️Fight/complot
📈Characters development

First, thank you to Bella Higgin, Wattpad Books and NetGalley for allowing me to read this ARC ahead of it’s May 9, 2023 release date! I originally read Belle Morte back in August and was immediately channeled my 2009 vampire obsession! I absolutely loved book #1 and was thrilled to get this arc so I could continue the story.
This book had pretty much everything from suspense to action to love! There were times were I was furious with certain characters and the thrill of trying to figure out the twists was fantastic! I love Bella Higgins writing style and it was a great book! My one note was that the middle of the book got a little slow for me considering the beginning and ending were so exciting, other than that I loved it! I like that it was loosely wrapped up, not left on a cliffhanger, so more books are possible but I still have some closure.
Overall, I can’t wait to see what Bella Higgin has up her sleeve next!

I received an advanced copy from the publisher via Netgalley for an honest review.
First, I LOVE vampire books (most of them, sorry Anne Rice, did not enjoy). I like the Twilight ones, the Crave series, The Strain trilogy and of course, Dracula! When I got Belle Morte I was super excited and totally devoured it! When a second was being published it made me even happier!
Second, if you haven't read these back to back starting this may be a bit jarring. I went back and reread the last four or so chapters so I was absolutely ready to jump into this novel as it picks up right where the action ended with the first.
This novel was a fast read because it is busy busy busy! So much stuff is going on and a lot of action, with the splash of romance in there too. The ending is satisfying and not a crazy cliffhanger (like the first), however, I feel like it also ended with leaving possible room for another novel....which I would not oppose at all! Super enjoyable, again, I love my vampire novels! I am definitely going to keep an eye on this author, especially if she keeps writing such great books like this!

I am so thankful that I received an advanced copy of this book.
This book picks up from where Belle Morte ended with Reine having to navigate her new world and all the chaos that's now surrounding her.
This book takes place over a super short period of time and a whole lot happens.
This book has a lot more action and tension than the first one. I really enjoyed seeing different sides of our main characters and getting to know them more intimately.
One of the main things I liked about this book was Reine's growth as she had to start seeing the vampire life/world from a different perspective. One of the biggest parts of that was her relationship with Ysanne (whom I would love a spin off about!).
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Okay, I did really enjoy book 1, but I'm not sure what happened with this one- I feel like I have zero interest in the characters, or the plot?? I'm 30% of the way through and things are happening literally one thing after another without pause and while normally I'm a fan of quick pacing I feel like this is somehow too fast; the emotional depth isn't there for me, and I'm not invested in the romance in any way. It's too bad, but I'm not sure I'll be continuing this series. Maybe one day I'll try it again but ... atm not looking likely. Many thanks to the publisher for a chance to read the advanced copy.
*Middle star rating since didn't finish.

I was absolutely blown away by Belle Morte, but unfortunately Revelations just didn't pack quite the same punch for me. While the storyline does pick up right where we left off in book one, there isn't much movement with the plot, but I still really liked it despite that. There's more action and it's definitely steamier than I expected as well.
Overall, pretty good follow up. just wish there had been more progression with the plot!

First of all, I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to read the e-arc in exchange of an honest review.
After Belle Morte, there was absolutely nothing I wanted more than reading 'Revelations', so I was extremately excited to be able to read it before publication. That said, as much as I love the story and couldn't wait to see what was out there for our character I must say it wasn't exactly what I was expecting.
The story picks up from the last part of the last book and at the beginning if I must be honest completely ignore certain points in hope of giving it a fair chance. However, by 80% of the book the story was still stuck in the very same events of the first few chapter, felt rather repetitive, suddenly the character had the most insta-lovey relationship ever (and no it wasn't like that in the first book) and the end felt a bit rush.
Did I enjoyed it? Yes but also wished it would had developt a lot more.
If you enjoyed the first part, I would definetely say to give Revelations a chance.

Stayed up until 2 a.m. finishing this masterpiece, and I am proud to say I don’t regret a thing.
Belle Morte is my all-time favorite book, so going into the sequel, Revelations, I have to admit that I was a little nervous about whether or not it would meet my expectations. Revelations did not meet my expectations. It blew them away. The romance. The mystery. The VAMPIRES. I think I found my new favorite book. Revelations are by far the best sequel I have ever read ( and I’ve read a lot of sequels).
I wish NetGalley would allow me to add more than five stars because, honestly, that is how good this book is.

“Revelations” is the perfect sequel to “Belle Morte”. It picked up right where it left off. We see the characters have to flee from the house of ‘Belle Monte” because of the villains of the story. We see them come up with an escape. We are then watching their survival. There are sacrificing that need to be made. It is the perfect amount of vampirism. The plot was captivating. I couldn’t put it down. I had to know what happened next to all the characters and the house of ‘Belle Morte” itself. It was described perfectly, it wasn’t too gory. There was epic fight scenes. I loved the sword play. There is a little bit of spice. It truly has everything a fantasy vampire fan could want.
It was also a really nice pace of the story. Not too slow and not too rushed. I felt like I could take everything in nicely. I highly recommend this series. I hope for there to be a continuation. I would like to see what comes next. I’m very interested in the characters lives.

The second book in the Belle Mort series, and it did not disappoint. I loved this so much from the writing, world building, characters and plot I have nothing bad to say. I always love a vampire novel but Revelations digs deeper into this vampire lore and the implications around 'turning' people I just found it so interesting. All the twists were amazing and I especially loved the scenes between Reina and Edmond, they're just so cute but also there's a mix of some spicier scenes. I have nothing bad to say about this I really enjoyed it.

Let me start off by saying this book really surprised me. Whilst I enjoyed Belle Morte, the first book in this series, I wasn’t too wowed by the plot until the end. But this one! Revelations picks up right where Belle Morte left off and it was non stop action after. One thing after another with sprinklings of spice scenes between Reina and Edmond. They are so cute.
I not a big fan of vampire romances anymore but this one worked for me. There are so many characters to root for throughout but I managed to keep up. The twists was shocking and the revelations was done so well. The friendships and loyalty throughout was beautiful.
I think if you enjoy a paranormal vampire romance thats well written and not much modern slang, with forbidden relationships trope and a strong clever determined female MC then the Belle Morte and especially Revelations is highly recommended!
Thank you to Wattpad and @netgalley for an eArc of this amazing sequel! I can’t wait for what comes next.

Review in progress and to come.
I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review

This series has sank it’s fangs into me in the most delicious little love bite ever and I’m not letting it let go!
What I liked about the book:
1. Vampire murder mystery full of political intrigue, secret passageways(!), the banding together of unlikely friends, and la petite mort we so desperately craved!
2. I loved and appreciated that the author gave us callbacks of events in book 1. I for sure didn’t remember some of the details, and Bella had our backs with reminding us of important details.
3. I loved watching the mutual respect grow between Ysanne and Renie. Getting to see from Renie’s point of view, we got insight into her internal thoughts on things, and saw her grow to truly understand Ysanne.
Similarly, seeing Ysanne open up to Renie (in her own ways), was tragically beautiful. She was so broken in this book (for several, really good reasons) that she really opened up to those in her circle and we got to see that hidden side to her I KNEW existed.
Given they are both strong, smart women, I loved watching them work together instead of against one another!
4. I loved that Roux and Jason still played such a large part in these series, and are now the only humans around going forward, besides maybe Nikki, who I LOVED!
5. The characters remained strong!
Edmond I felt was a stronger character in this one. Perhaps it was too long ago that I read book 1, but I felt he was more in touch with his soldier past in this book and I loved seeing this side of him. In fact, his battles side by side with Ludovic were some of my favorite scenes in the whole book!
Ysanne I for sure have a crush on. She is a Boss Babe and I would die for her!
Jason was hilarious and served as the comic relief in this actiony installment.
Roux was solving riddles like a world-class sleuth.
Ludovic was even more badass than book 1 (didn’t know that was possible!) and I definitely didn’t miss those lingering glances at Roux. I swear to the Gods, if they don’t end up together I’m going to have a FIT!!!
Nikki was a new character who was fantastic! She was smart as a whip and fearless even in the face of potential death. I really hope she continues to be in this series and we see more of her!
6. That cover is Gorg-town! Super pretty!
What could have been better:
1. Similar to my thoughts on book 1, it was dual POV, but Renie’s sections were in first person, while Edmond’s were in third person, and I disliked it strongly! I really wanted this story in first person dual POV, or if once Renie became a vampire her POV to shift to third person like Edmond’s. If this was a style choice by the writer to have all vampires be third person POV, I could have actually gotten behind this in a really big way, but that didn’t happen so I’m left with eye twitches of frustration.
2. Renie was kind of annoying in this book. I did like how every time she started getting annoying, though, she did call herself out. I appreciated her ability to self-regulate her attitude and trains of thought, but it was still a little annoying to go through the process with her.
3. There simply was not enough build up into the Roux and Ludovic relationship I MUST HAVE in the next book! I will legit cry if this doesn’t happen ☹
Final Rating: 4 Ludovic-can-bite-me-any-day stars
Thank you to Rachel Wu at Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group and Bella Higgin for the advanced copy of this book! The thoughts and opinions expressed above are voluntary and my own.

This book was even more enjoyable than the first one for me. I enjoyed the increase in action and romance, and seeing the fallout of the actions in the first book was enthralling. The action scenes themselves were so detailed and enjoyable, and I'm usually not one for super detailed battle scenes.
I think the writing in this one has improved so much since the first one. I have really enjoyed seeing the progression the author has made here, and I'm so looking forward to reading more in this world.
