omg i couldn't stop listening to this book!! the narrators were phenomenal!! i'm a huge fan of the enemies to lovers trope and this book definitely delivered. hannah and declan gave me the perfect combination of banter, sexual tension and character development. i cannot wait to recommend this book to everyone!! 💕

This is the first book I've read/listened to by Marni Mann. I give it a 4.5 Star rating. It was a great standalone. I did some research to see if there were previous books since I was curious about some of the other characters. I found that this is book four of five. I am definitely interested in going back to the beginning of the series to start at book one. This was well written with a great storyline and genuine characters. It took me time to like Declan. He had to grow on me. But I liked Hannah from the beginning. I had a smile on my face when it ended.
Savannah Peachwood and Lee Samuels are excellent narrators. They have easy to listen to voices and performed with emotion. This audiobook rolled like a movie in my head. Perfection.
Thank you NetGalley and Valentine PR for the audiobook copy of this book. This is my voluntary and honest review.

I really enjoyed the narration of this one! I always love dual narrators but also really love when they try to stay true to the characters and bringing them to life.
I love an enemies to lovers all day every day and this hit the mark on the end. Declan and Hannah had amazing banter. Declan definitely dealt with some anger issues and at times seemed unreasonable but I loved his growth through the story.
Hannah seemed to have a great head in her shoulders and always seemed to make rational decisions and she was brilliant. I always love a baddie female main character. I thought she should’ve let Declan grovel a little more from time to time but I imagine if he was that sexy and growly, it would be hard to resist.
This was HOT from start to finish. « Gimme your mouth. » will never leave my brain.

Review:
I was given an audio of this book to review and i thoroughly enjoyed it! Savannah Peachwood is one of my favourite female narrators and it was my first time listening to Lee Samuels and I was not dissapointed.
Hannah Dalton is in law school and looking at interning at her cousins firm. She meets Declan when he sits in on one of her classes for a mock interview. Hannah and a group of other students go out for drinks with him afterwards and have one hell of a hot hookup.
Thinking she will never see him again, imagine her surprise when she turns up to her mentors office for her internship, and it is none other than Declan. Declan is a giant alphahole towards Hannah for a lot of the book, he hates the close proximity to her because of how much he wants her.
I loved the push and pull between them, and how steamy the spicy scenes were! Declan has one hell of a mouth on him!!

Once again M Mann delivers a sexy, steamy and addictive story!! I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook, and these narrators did a fantastic job portraying the dirty-talking alpha attorney hero and the sassy and brilliant intern heroine.
From the first moment Declan Shaw is introduced he is pure sex in a suit, and the chemistry between him & Hannah is instant and explosive. Their connection, passion, and all-consuming need of the other was HOT. I shivered at times when the narrator's deep voice portrayed Declan, whether it was in the office or the bedroom.
After their initial connection, the angst, tension, banter, and battle of wills between these two characters just builds and builds until you can't take it anymore.... and neither can they. These two are fire whether they are arguing or have their hands on each other. I loved Hannah's determination and tenacious spirit - with Declan and her career; and of course every time a Dalton brother made an appearance, I swooned and sighed.
This book is pure enemies to lovers addictive goodness! Can't wait for Camden's story which is next! Well done to M Mann and the narrators!

This one is SPICY!!! The narrators were great. They were able to bring the heat in this audiobook. I enjoyed the sass Hannah brought to Declan's alpha moodiness. I will say some of the scenes were a little over the top and the phrasing was cringy at times. I loved the banter between them and Hannah's ability to stand up for herself. #TheIntern #NetGalley

Double trouble with a capital "T." The Intern is a tempting hunk of trouble that is not afraid to break the rules. Hannah and Declan turn a spicy situation into an irresistible romance. From spicy to sweet, you can't help but feel the burn.

I was so excited to get the story of Declan and Hannah! Hannah and Declan met in one of Hannah’s classes. Things heated up between them and there was an explosive meeting in an alleyway. Unfortunately, Hannah had to leave quickly to go to her friend.
Declan Shaw is the ultimate alpha. He is a prominent lawyer and a friend of the Daltons. They have been trying to bring him on to their firm and when they finally do, they assign him an intern for a semester. The intern is none other than Hannah. Hannah is pissed at how things ended and Declan feels awful that he touched Hannah.
Declan is the grumpiest of alphas to the point where I often felt he was too much of an a$$h0le. But there is still something in him that makes him irresistible and Hannah seems to agree. No matter what she tells herself, she can’t stay away from him. There is a lot of back and forth with Hannah and Declan, they fight, they make out and repeat. When they are together, the pages nearly melt. They are so hot. I don’t normally use this word, but this was a spicy one! I love that Hannah is such a bada$$ and able to go toe to toe with Declan.
The narrators were perfect choices for the sweet and strong Hannah and alpha lawyer Declan. They made the story seem more real and really brought it to life. I couldn’t imagine anyone else in these roles.

Holy Hotness! Declan and Hannah are absolute fire together! There was definitely a little extra steam in this 4th book and I was there for it! I have loved Hannah’s personality from the beginning but I also got to see a little more vulnerability from her and it was sweet. Declan, I mean he was just dreamy but also needed to be set straight and Hannah was just that one to do it. ( Her cousins may have helped a little) Definitely enjoyed this one though!

This series has been all over the place, and this book is a great example of that. I loved how the book started, and their intro was perfectly spicy. I truly wanted Hannah and Declan to make it because I saw their connection.
HOWEVER, I also saw the miscommunication anti-trope at about Chapter 4. Miscommunication automatically takes a star away in my opinion. I also felt like the writing in this one was more difficult for me to connect with especially the “give me this mouth” pieces. This series has had some great smut; however, this one wasn’t as mouthwatering in my opinion. It felt kinda dry at points and forced at others.
I’ll definitely finish out this series. I just hope that the brother is better than Hannah. I’m also calling it now that his story is with the roommate.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Marni, This book!!! It’s everything and more, and the audio book, Holy Moly!!! I could not pass by on listening to this on audio! It was so good! Declan and Hannah’s story is like constant fireworks exploding in my brain.
I might dare to say that this book is the best book of the series, and I LOVED them all!
Declan is a broody, cocky, dominating, demanding, raw, sexy, alpha lawyer who always gets what he wants. When it comes to the job he’s the best litigator there is. He met his match, when he crossed paths with Hannah Dalton, a law student. She’s smart, sexy, strong, independent, and knows what she wants and goes after it. She will not stop at anything. So what happens when their worlds collide? Cue the spice, the steam, the sassy and sexy banter. Hannah isn’t scared of Declan, she can handle him, challenge him, and she keeps him in check and on his toes. The instant chemistry, push- pull these two had! Wowzers. Oh, the conference room scene. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I loved the journey they went on, even though rocky at times, and Declan upset me, he ended up getting it together at the end! Loved this story, and I can’t wait for Camden’s story. The narrators Savannah Peachwood and Lee Samuels did an amazing job with the story. They did well with the character transitions, and kept me engaged to the story.
I voluntarily reviewed/ listened to a complementary copy of this book

The Intern is the fourth romance in The Dalton Family romance series. When hot shot litigator, Declan Shaw, mentors Hannah Dalton’s class’s mock trial sparks fly from the first glance. Things don’t end as planned between the two which only complicates matters when, fast forward a few weeks, Hannah becomes Declan’s intern at Hannah’s family’s law firm. Fireworks ensue, of both the good and bad variety.
The Intern is the first book I’ve read in the romance series, so I didn’t know the background information of the Dalton family, but this can easily be read as a standalone. Overall, this was a good romance that, for the most part, held my attention and had me wanting to keep reading to see what would happen between Hannah and Declan. I do have to say that this book was a little more graphic in the sex scenes than I was in the mood for and I’m not a huge fan of the alpha male/submissive female roles, but it was still a good book. I enjoyed the characters and the chemistry between Hannah and Declan.
I found this to be a good romance, nothing earth shattering, but still a good, hot read. If you are in the mood for some love/hate tension and two powerful, strong minded characters who can’t seem to keep their hands off each other, this is for you!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an audiobook copy of this book!

Marni Mann continues to bring the SPICE in this addictively sexy Dalton Brothers series! And holy moly, The Intern is HOT! With two brassy leads, endless sexual tension, panty-melting spice, and some magnetic chemistry, this is a delicious and easy read.

DNF pretty early on. I was not a fan of Declan and I couldn't see myself coming around to him. I would not put up with his bad attitude and his rude ways.
Thank you #netgalley for a listen of #theintern

I couldn't wait on this one...but I have more quotes to come because Declan Shaw 🥵
ARC Review -The Intern by @marnimann (thank you @valentine_pr_ ) (The Dalton Family Book 4)
Releasing December 27th!
Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Burn: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Swoon: 😍😍
Oh Declan Shaw ...I knew you were going to be something but nothing could have prepared me. Declan is a shark (great white according to him) and he always wins. He is good friends with the Dalton Brothers and decides now is the right time to join their firm.
There is just one little problem...the intern he is forced to work with just happens to be the Dalton's cousin Hannah...and his most recent hookup.
Hannah is finally getting the chance she has worked so hard for...to intern at her family's law firm. But her new mentor is none other than Declan Shaw the legend himself. Hannah has been trying to forget him since their evening together...which is proving more difficult than ever.
The absolute sparks between these two are explosive and the filth that comes from Declan's mouth is perfection, plain and simple one of the best dirty talkers I've read!! Marni promised the spice and she brought it.
But there is also a vulnerability with both Hannah and Declan. Hannah tries to prove herself worthy of being in the family business and Declan tries to protect himself from ever feeling weak and losing. Can these two overcome the hurdles trying to stop them or will they just have to let each other go?

This is the 4th book in the series that I have read / listened to and absolutely adored it. Marni writes steamy scenes with a great plot line and the narrators are perfect. Thank you for an advanced copy of this one.

This. Audiobook. I had been wanting to read the Intern and let me tell you- it did not disappoint. The narration is perfect and the choices for both Hannah and Declan were spot on in my opinion. I think in the Intern's case, the audiobook actually added to the experience for me.
What I loved:
▪️Dual POV, enemies to lovers, alpha-hole, billionaire, forbidden romance
▪️The banter was top notch. I loved the relationship between Declan and Hannah and the conversations they shared. I loved the legal setting as well.
▪️Declan has to be one of my favorite grumpy, alpha holes I’ve read recently. He's intelligent, dominant,
▪️This one is spicy!! If you aren't a huge fan of spice, this one may not be a great fit for you. But if you're a spice lover like I am, buckle up because it's a fun ride!
▪️The Intern immediately starts off hot. Marni does an incredible job of keeping the tempo up throughout the whole book. This was my first Marni Mann book but I guarantee it won't be the last.
*This is the 4th in this series, but can be read/listened to as a standalone.
If you’re looking for a steamy enemies to lovers, add this one to your list!
A massive thank you to NetGalley, Marni Mann and Dreamscape media for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook!

The story itself is a 3 star read but the audiobook is a 5. So the rating is the average of the 2.
The Intern is book 4 in the Dalton Family Series. Some of these have been good stories, some of them are over the top in the physical connection of the characters. These books do not have a lot of story development outside the physical connection.
The main focus of this story is coming to terms with attraction when it goes against what you have always deemed your future to look like.
Declan Shaw is hot and ruthless litigator. Hannah Dalton is a young bright eyed law student. A chance meeting between the two of them during a mock trial experience ignited their attraction. The pull between these two is so incredibly strong.
Hannah is assigned to Delan as an Intern and the continue to dance around each other. They are both so drawn yet fighting it. . The main thing in this book is the overwhelming attraction and chemistry between them.
As for as characters I really like Hannah. She is smart and thoughtful. She really is the most developed of the characters. She is a good friend, dedicated to her craft. She cares so much for her family. Declan is another story. He is an alphahole. He is brash and rude. He wants Hanna but fights it so hard. He does not have any redeemable qualities. We don’t see past his outer shell unless he is drunk. I wanted more vulnerabilities from him. I need something made him even slightly likeable.
The audiobook narrators are fantastic. I really enjoyed Savannah Peachwood in the role of Hannah. She did an amazing job. She did a great job when she was speaking the male parts. Her voice played so well against Lee Samuels. I thinking this might be my first listen from narrator Lee Samuels and I really enjoyed it. He has a deep register that played so well against Savannah’s softness. I would absolutely recommend this audiobook.

Holy smokes, Marni did it again. 🔥
I can always count on the Dalton family for delicious banter, a good forced proximity, and spice out the WAZHOO!
And this did not disappoint! 🥵
While Dominick is my favorite (he's such a sweet instigator), I really loved seeing another side to Ford in this book as he's the closest to Hannah.
In general, all the protectiveness of the Dalton cousins melted me.
Dalton is the biggest alphahole we've seen in this series, and I ate it up. I fcking loved that Hannah threw it right back at him and then some. We LOVE a strong, smart baddie. 👏🏿
The spice was phew next level. So far, this is the SPICEST of the series, and if Camden upstages this in the next book.. I may need an IV for its release. 🥵
The Narrators really brought the spice to LIFE with this one. Both Declan and Hannah were PERFECT!

Knowing that Declan and Hannah's story would be like an enemies to lovers office romance, I was all in from the word "GO." I have to say that I enjoyed this entry in the Dalton Brothers series quite a bit. Declan was a grumpy jerk who never pretended he was anything other than a no holds barred litigator. He's the "best" at what he does for a reason....he's focused and unemotional about the job. That's why Hannah throws him for a loop. Just her presence throws him off and takes him "off his game." His moodiness does feel a little like whiplash, but I still loved the orneriness of his character. Hannah is a brilliant, up and coming law student preparing to graduate. She is placed as Declan's intern in her family's firm. It's a mess between the two of them given their undeniable attraction and previous interactions. Everything about the book was fun. Declan was a little over the top at times with his displaced anger, but I liked it best when Hannah gave it back to him. I never wanted to see her be a cream puff and she wasn't. Oh....and the spicy level was definitely high between these two. You may need a fan....
I listened to the audiobook and found it to be enjoyable. The narration was done well and it was an overall fun read/listen.
I was granted a complimentary listening copy from NetGalley and I voluntarily chose to listen and write a review. The opinions contained within my review are my own.
