I’ve been extremely invested in this series and I was really excited to get to Hannah but this book didn’t do it for me. Declan is hot, sure, but he’s also an asshole and Hannah falls in love with him BEFORE he ever treats her remotely nicely or respectfully? It would be different if he was an asshole with a soft side for her but that’s doesn’t happen until way after she has fallen. She was way too easy with him and the second I thought she was finally going to stand for herself she went back to sleeping with him…
I enjoyed the other books a lot more and I’m still interested to read what seems to be Hannah’s brother story, but sadly this book was not a win in my book

Declan is one of California's most sought after litigators and he is in high demand at law firms around the state. While doing a favor to an old professor, he meets Hannah, a law student, and has an instant connection with her. While at a bar, things get heated between the two of them - I'm talking next level heat. Afterwards, Hannah goes to take a phone call with promise to come back to take the fun back to his place and when she comes back, she finds Declan gone and completely ghosted her.
Fast forward and Hannah is starting as an intern at her cousins law firm - The Dalton Group. She is being placed with the head litigator, as that is what she wants to do. What she doesn't expect is to come face to face with the one man who she loathes more than anything.
Declan recently accepted a job with The Dalton Group and doesn't expect to come face to face with the one woman who he can't keep his mind off of.
Will they be able to work together and put the past in the past? Or will this hateful relationship explode into undeniable chemistry like the first day that they met?

Declan is an alphahole FOR SURE. He's a top notch litigator and more than full of himself.
Hannah is a sweet college student working hard to gain a job at the family law firm.
Declan and Hannah meet when he volunteers at the college she attends to work with some of the students. They hook up in an alley and then go separate ways when Hannah goes to take a phone call and Declan doesn't wait around for her. FF to Hannah starting her internship at the family business and guess which brand new employee is her mentor? YOU GUESSED IT.
I really enjoyed this one. There was a lot of personal growth and understanding without either MC changing who they really are. Hannah playing aloof to Declan was my favorite thing, poor Declan had no idea what to do with all those feelings! I also loved how everyone called him out on being into Hannah while he tried to deny it.
This is #4 in a series but can be read as a stand-alone. I'm going to go ahead and read the rest of the series though because I'm loving the Dalton Family. I absolutely recommend this one and since it's already released no need to wait! ***Available on KU.***

The intern is the fourth book in the Dalton Family Series and it lives up to the spice hype for sure. If you like spice, this is the book for you! Thanks to Dreamscape Media, NetGalley, and Marni Mann for this advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.
Hannah is in law school and hopes to join her cousins at their very famous law firm when she graduates and she has applied for an internship there. Declan Shaw comes to mento Hannah’s class during their mock trials and she does not want him to know that she is a Dalton. After the class, they go out to celebrate and they end up having a fling in the alley. According to Hannah, Declan completely ghosts her. A few weeks later, Hannah goes to the Dalton Group for her internship to meet the litigator that she will be work with and low and behold, it is Declan Shaw who her cousins just hired. The drama is through the roof with Declan and things just keep building and building. Will they be able to keep working together or will it be a total fail?

Hannah, a law student and Declan, a seasoned lawyer have a hot and satisfying one night stand in an alley. A few weeks later Hannah walks into her family’s law firm to start her semester internship and is surprised to see that Declan is her supervisor. The attraction is still there from their intense one night together, but Declan is a lifelong bachelor. Will Hannah and Declan have a future of limitless steamy nights?
I’ve never read/listened to anything by this author so I didn’t know what to expect. Declan is a self-proclaimed alphahole but Hannah is no simpering wit either. We get both points of view in this book. This book is a little spicy, but it still has a story line. I didn’t totally hate Declan since I knew that to get where he was professionally he has to be a bit of a jerk. I didn’t think of Hannah as a person who was being manipulated. It was a push and pull relationship, on both sides. I’m so glad that I’m lactose intolerant and won’t associate milk with other things. I may have to listen to one of the other books in the series.
I don’t think I’ve heard the narrators before. I listened to both of them at normal speed for the first two chapters and then sped it up to 1.75. I liked the deeper tone of the male voice but the cadence felt off sometimes. The female voice was good.

I was in the mood for a moody alpha, and Marni Mann delivered. I only wish the book was longer so we could see this story drawn out a little more. I would also put in a warning that this book is graphic. So, if sexual scenes make you uncomfortable… maybe not the book for you. Additionally, due to the amount of “extracurricular activities“ there is little room for the story. Which, I suppose, is why I wanted it to be longer.
All in all, it was an enjoyable read. The narrators were also fantastic!!! Enjoyable audiobook!
Thank you NetGalley for the advanced audio copy.

Declan 🥵 this series is excellent! I’ve honestly loved them all. Ford is still my favorite but damn Declan gives him a run for his money.

Talk about a love/hate relationship, Declan and Hannah give you that. Throw some age gap and oh yea, he's her boss in there and this one hit the mark.
Declan and Hannah meet when he assists with a mock trial at her law school (also his alma mater). He goes out for drinks with some from the class afterwards and things heat up fast. They are interrupted, and afterwards cannot find each other.
Fast forward a bit, and we have their paths crossing again. The banter is superb. Declan dishes it out but Hannah can take it throw it back in his face. Spicy while still giving a great storyline!
Many thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for my gifted ALC copy!

Thank you Net Galley for an audio copy of The Intern by Marni Mann. The dual narrators did an awesome job! This is #4 in the series, but read a standalone. If you like hot, spicy, and forbidden, this one is for you! 4 stars!

My first read (listen) of Mann's work. This is the 4th in Dalton Family Series but can be read as a standalone. This book is Hannah Dalton's story.
I did roll my eyes a few times at a few things that I didn't find believable but overall, I liked the book.
I liked the set up of Hannah & Declan's relationship and how they fell for each other. Their attraction was 🔥🔥🔥!
I definitely want to read the other Dalton books as I enjoyed the side banter with the cousins.
Dual POV and narrators, they both did a great job.
Thanks #Netgalley for the audio copy of this book.

This is a thoroughly entertaining book. Funny and super spicy! I continue to be impressed with her writing.

A one-night stand turns into a workplace forbidden romance when hotshot lawyer Declan becomes mentor to the rising star intern, Hannah. Super steamy with all the best Suits vibes! This was great on audio and definitely R-rated!! If you love alpha males and spicy reads this one doesn't disappoint! Great on audio narrated by Savannah Peachwood & Lee Samuels. Much thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for access to an audio copy in exchange for my honest review!
