ARC | A good collection of patterns covering a variety of projects that does what it says on the tin | The One-Skein Wonders books tend to be reliable choices to keep on the shelf, and this entry is no different. Whether you find yourself needing to make a gift that won't take six months or having grabbed a solo skein of a gorgeous colorway long enough ago that you could no longer match dye lots, the book gets your laceweight out of stash and onto your needles. I have not yet knit from the book, but I did read the actual patterns, not just the descriptive blurbs, and they are formatted well. Always important to check for errata, mistakes can happen in the best of situations, and I can't claim in this review that the book is free of them. Worth picking up, and checking out the first One Skein Wonders book, as well as Sock Yarn One Skein Wonders, which I have successfully knit from.

Amazing easy to read, and follow, patterns. Will definitely be making lots of things using this book. Will help deplete my growing yarn stash.
The One=Skein Wonder series is very well written and well-designed, with clear instructions using both charts and traditional knitting terminology. Each project in every book is photographed beautifully, and there is a wide variety of yarns. This is a splendid resource for those of us who ten to end up with an extra skein at the end of a project -- or who buy a skein of tempting yarn without a good plan for it in mind.
This book, the Lace One-Skein Wonders, has an extra value. A lot of knitters enjoy a small lace project but don't have the patience to focus on difficult lace long enough to finish a lace shawl or sweater. With this book, you can complete a beautiful lace item before you give up, even if you're not diligent enough to make a Shetland shawl.
One yarn will always make you small things, so this book has mostly small things: baby clothes, hats, scarves, socks, purses, and such. But there are some full-sized shawls and stoles, as well as creative ideas like a bottle holder that elevates your gift of wine and a necklace and bracelet set. Accessories and home items make good gifts. Headbands and belts are quick little treasures to make for yourself. And of course a shawl or baby sweater gives you a great chance to learn and practice your lace knitting skills.
The book also includes basic techniques and lots of tips. I've knitted for decades and didn't know that there are pointier needles specially made for fine lace knitting. Now I know.
This book is highly recommended.
This is one of my favorite series of knitting books and the lace edition definitely holds up.
This book gave me loads of great ideas on how to use the gorgeous lace yarn I had bought but was a bit scared to use.
I don't buy a lot of knitting books, but I am crazy addicted to the one skein wonder books and will always buy them to have on my shelf. How many times do I go looking for a pattern for this one skein in I have, and this book perfectly caters to this. LOVE IT!
This had some fun patterns but I just never got around to try them and I am horrible at crocheting, etc. It's not on my kindle anymore to try so now I can't. Sorry I never got around to try it as I sure they would have been fun.
