I love Sam Crescent and all her stories. I loved how Callie made Ruin work for it. Little bit of a twist at the end. Good story

Ruin is a “problem solver” ( aka hit man) for the mafia. A man so feared by others that he achieved the nickname the “Bogeyman,” however his newest target has him stumped. Callie seems to leave a boring and solitary life so why would she be up for “termination?” Ruin is also amazed by the fact that her picture alone seems to have upended his normal routine, and after meeting her, well let’s say he doesn’t want their time to end, which is a total turnaround from his normal . I’ll admit Ruin was not who I was expecting based on his moniker. I mean he was learning how to knit to meet up with Callie, and while he justified it by saying he was learning her patterns, Ruin seems to care for Callie right off the bat. Yes he’s quite the alpha male but he does have a soft side too. But fear not, this is no weak man, and Callie for all her shy and retiring ways is strong all on her own. Those of you who have read other books by this author will not be disappointed by the steamy hot romance with the two leads, I just wish it was a little longer. Still a nice hot and quick romance with strong alpha male vibes, tender moments, humor (did you not hear me say he was trying to learn to knit?), and in my opinion a great epilogue. 4.5 stars . I voluntarily read and reviewed an arc copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own

Thank you Evernight Publishing and NetGalley for my copy of The Bogeyman's Woman.
I am a huge fan of Sam Crescent but I have to say this one felt a little flat for me. I enjoyed it and ate it up, however it was missing a few more scenes that were alluded to in the book. I liked the relationship between Ruin and Callie.

Classic premise with hitman/target.
Where I lost interest is in the two dimensional characters and clichéd storytelling.
This truly felt like a first draft in need of serious developmental editing.

I received an ARC copy from netgalley and the file sent still had editors corrections embedded in it.

I love this authors books pulls you in to the story from page one. they call him the Bogeyman he is an asasin to hire and his own boss some would love him to fully work for them in the mafia world. Dante has a job for Ruin he wants him to kill Callie Lawson but what he does not understand is why she a loner but a very beautiful woman so he gets close to her but he knows that something is not right why kill her so while he is enjoying her company he digs deeper not going to say anymore but so recommend this authors books
