I spent most of my time reading this book squealing and kicking my feet 😍 this book was a perfect second chance romance from the banter to the character development, I couldn’t have asked for more!
I loved how the timelines jumped between the POV of the two main characters, it made me feel so connected to them, it was almost like my best friends finding their perfect match 😂 The evil rival wedding planner subplot felt unnecessary but I appreciated that it moved things in the right direction somewhat, it was just a bit chaotic.
The overall vibes of this book felt like watching my favourite romcom movie, I can’t wait to read more by this author! I highly recommend if you’re looking for a sweet romance!
Read this if you:
- Love a mashup of different romance tropes
- Have ever pined for years over someone you can’t have
- Are obsessed with weddings and happily-ever-afters
Though Ama loves being a wedding planner, after her mother’s 16 marriages, she’s decided that it might not be for her. When she falls in love with Elliot and isn’t able to offer him the commitment he’s looking for, the two go their separate ways. Years later when a high profile client insists on having Elliot do her wedding flowers, the two must learn to put their heartbreak aside to work together.

This book is very popular, but I didn’t like it as much as everyone else seems to. I didn’t find Eliot brooding and mysterious – I mostly found him rude and I couldn’t tell that he even really liked Ama until very far into the book. I also didn’t feel much chemistry between the characters and their relationship felt underdeveloped.
This was a quick read and it was entertaining, but I didn’t love it overall!

I loved this! Second chance romances, if done well, can just be SO good. This was one of them. I think the author's use of the MMC's POV for the past and the FMC for the present was a masterstroke. It made for such compelling story-telling. I found myself rooting for these two incredibly hard. Their romance is just so swoonworthy and the spicy scenes are done really well. Basically, this has everything a romance reader could want and I love that for me!

First of all, a hot architect who also owns a flower shop is on my list of things I would love to see in person. Secondly, I loved seeing Ama and Elliot bloom the second time around. I loved how the past chapters were told from the male POV and the present chapters were told from the female POV. I don't normally love second-chance romance, but honestly, this book just checked all my boxes.

I saw rave reviews for "Forget Me Not" by so many people who I tend to have similar taste as, but after reading it myself, I really just want to forget about it.
I didn't really care for either MC and while I do enjoy a bit of past/present timeline, I just really didn't like the story or their relationship in the slightest.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Even though this induced Adam Driver nightmares, I could not stop thinking about this book. It disrupts the typical romance formula in a wonderful way. The characters are interesting and I couldn't help rooting for them. A must read for romance readers, and an author to keep an eye out for!

Solid spicy sweet romance. Loved the characters even though some of their decisions were a little immature. I was just along for the ride. The spicy scenes were fantastic. Loved the wedding planner angle and you couldn't help but cheer on the main characters.

This book was PHENOMENAL. I gobbled it up in two days. It was a nice fast pace and the pining between the two main characters was amazing. I loved the Dual POV from different times in their life, working backwards and forwards. Highly recommend this book.

I always enjoy two points of view. Very easy to follow the back and forth view points and timeline. Loved the flower tattoos and the final ones placement. Beautiful story that comes together just right. I had a hard time putting it down.

This book made my heart soften. So much happiness written in one book. I am normally not a sappy romance reader but I could read this one over and over. The fact that Elliott could remember down to the day he last spent with Amaz makes him a better partner than I’ll ever be. The flower shop/wedding planner vibes felt so refreshing. The duel timeline and duel POV were easy to follow. Ama was sweet but sassy. Elliott was a quiet brooding softy. Such a great pair. There is spicy, but it's written in a way that doesn't turn you away from the storyline. The character development and plot were well-written.

Okay, I absolutely loved this romcom!! Ama, sunshine wedding planner, and Elliot, grumpy florist, are a perfect match in this book. When Ama is contracted to plan a celebrity wedding featuring a reality TV show aspect, she's over the moon. The exposure will get her more clients for her small business and she knows she can handle it. The catch, Elliot has been contracted as the florist for the wedding. Immediately Ama and Elliot's past is brought up as sparks fly in the present. The highlight of this book was the chemistry between Ama and Elliot! It is so obvious in the as they start to work on this massive wedding and in their past interactions together. I was 100% rooting for them the entire time and I could not wait for them to get past their issues for their happily ever after. It made the book hard to put down and that is always a fantastic sign of a good book. I really liked getting both Ama and Elliot's POVs (with Elliot's POV telling the story of their past). I liked their character development a lot and I felt like as the reader, I really got to see that because the past chapters were included as well. This book is definitely second chance romance done correctly and I really enjoyed read it! I cannot wait for more from Soto and I would highly recommend this book!!

This book was well written!! I didn’t love, Ama, and so it was hard for me to fall in love with the story completely. She was trying too hard to deny her feelings for Elliot and it was hard to watch! Besides that, I will definitely read more of Julie Soto! The way she told their back story only from Elliot’s POV was so clever and unique and for the story perfectly!

A truly phenomenal debut for the contemporary romance genre. I’ve been pretty disappointed in romance recently and Forget Me Not helped to remind me that modern romance stories can be enchanting rather than cringe.
I would warn potential readers that the MMC is GRUMPY and pretty rude. If that’s something that easily annoys you or turns you off from a character, Elliot will not make your list of book boyfriends. For a while I couldn’t decide how I felt about him, but in the end I think he was exactly what our FMC needed and I was able to appreciate him from that perspective.
There is some truly excellent wedding shop talk that felt authentic and kept me plugged into the vibes of the story.
I’m so glad I was able to experience this book when I did!
Thank you Julie Soto, NetGalley, and Forever for my gifts digital copy in exchange for an honest review. My opinions are my own.

OBSESSED. LOVED. One of my favorite reads in December. Elliot is a broody, sexy MMC who had me kicking my feet and screaming the entire time. LOVED that he was a florist.

The only thing I didn't like about this book was how long it took me to finally read it! I loved this second-chance romance. Both characters felt so fleshed out to me and truly real. I loved the dual timelines and how unique the whole story was. This is a true winner! I can't wait to read Soto's future works.

Forgot Me Not was a sweet romance that gripped me since the start! Elliot was an INCREDIBLE book boyfriend and I fell in love with him so freaking fast.

This is a good second chance romance and for sure I would be interested in more from this author. The style of the book with the FMC POV in current time and the MMC POV in all flashbacks until the the end (catching up to current times) is interesting and adds a lot to the book. The writing is also good and it’s a quick and easy read but the romance seems more like codependency and chemistry more the love.

This book lives up to all the hype its been getting. Forget Me Not is perfect for bookworms who love grumpy sunshine and enemies to lovers tropes. The story does start out a little slow and I found myself wishing that the two main characters were together more often during the first part of the book. But once things started to pick up and Ama and Elliott’s relationship really started to progress it really just hooks you in. I loved both characters. They felt real and relatable and I couldn’t help but feel connected to them. The chemistry between Ama and Elliott is fabulous and addictive. I devoured all the delicious drama that was in this story. Overall this is a great romance and great for anyone who loves a good grumpy sunshine romance

This book is now one of my favorite romance reads ever. Not only is the cover absolutely stunning but the story itself is *chef's kiss*. I have a very fond place in my heart for this story because I could relate so much. My sister used to own an event decorating company and I worked for her every day. We were all weddings, all the time. It was such a fun time in our sisterhood and I loved that this story reminded me so much of that.
Ama was so cute and I loved her. Elliot was a grumpy dream and officially one of my favorite bookish men written. There was just enough spice and 10/10. This is such a good second chance romance! Highly recommend 🌹

OK, maybe I'm in love with romance stories again. Julie Soto, you have knocked my socks off! I read Forget Me Not in a day and a half, I could not put it down. The plot and characters captivated me from chapter one. I love the use of two timelines and perspectives -- three years ago in Elliot's POV, and the current day in Ama's POV. I cannot express how much I love reading the male main character's perspective and having a glimpse into a man in love's psyche. The characters are relatable and the storyline of wedding planning just throws me back to being an elementary school student absolutely obsessed with any wedding romcom -- hello, J.Lo in The Wedding Planner, Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway in Bride Wars, Nia Vardalos in My Big Fat Greek Wedding? I spent the entire day kicking my feet and squealing as I read through the novel, and I am so excited for my girl friends to read it next. Fingers crossed we someday see this story on the big screen!
