I’m a sucker for missing girl tropes but this was didn’t thrill me. I had a hard time getting into it and I didn’t really care for the way it was handled flipping from one case to another.

I cannot read this, the format is not legible on my Kobo or phone without zooming in on every single page which I do not have the patience for.

For me, this was pretty average. Basically, it was a perfectly serviceable procedural thriller. As always, though, I appreciate the courage to shy away from a perfectly neat happy ending.

I was so excited when I was approved for this ARC. And let me tell you, this book did not disappoint. It is fast paced and draws you in quickly. Even since finishing the book, I have continued thinking back to it; the true sign of a 5 star book! This is one of those books you can't put down because you just have to know what happens next. I didn't realize when I first started reading this book that it is the 2nd book of a series, but I don't think that affected the read. It works just fine as a stand-alone. I look forward to reading more of Sparks' work in the future!

“Every Missing Girl” was a great follow up to the first Kendall Beck book! It was a quick read with a lot of storylines that pulled together well at the end. Will definitely pick up the next book in the series when it comes out!

DNFd this around page 156.
I don't think this is a bad book, but the pacing is a bit weird. I'm also not interested in the thriller aspect of the story, which is a little giving, considering this is a thriller.

Many Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for giving me this ARC in exchange of an honest review.

I felt like at first this book was a little hard to follow between the two cases. It was good, just not as captivating and thrilling as I had expected. I was surprised by the end, I didn’t expect it to go that way! I wish I would have read the first one before this. Overall not too bad, a very good audio book as well!

Well-written thriller set in a close-knit community where everyone harbours secrets and lies. This was an engrossing read - would recommend if you like thrillers set in a suburb or community. The characters are well-rounded with a few red-herrings if you can spot them!

Every Missing Girl was a hard read but excellent nonetheless. An FBI agent and the police stumble on a possible child trafficking ring during a robbery gone bad. The danger hits too close to home and sometimes we don’t get the happy ending we are looking for. I was engrossed from the start and couldn’t stop reading u til the final chapters.

Thank you Netgalley for this arc

I knew fairly early into the book that it wasn’t going to be a story I enjoyed, but I wanted to see it through to try and give an honest review. The storyline itself had potential, although I am always skeptical of stories that center around child sex trafficking and exploitation. I will say the author got a lot of it right, but there were still a lot of elements of the sex trafficking storyline that I struggled with since I worked in the anti-trafficking movement for the better part of a decade; and specifically with survivors of child sex trafficking and exploitation.

With that being said, the storyline itself wasn’t what really kept me from enjoying Every Missing Girl. The relationships amongst the FBI and PD characters felt juvenile at times and the writing bordered on cringey when the characters were interacting. The best way I can describe the characters and their interactions is if the author took the TV version of the Rizzoli and Isles cast and tried to turn them back into book characters just under different names. I could see what Sparks was trying to do with Adam, Kendall & Co. but the dialogue felt like it was meant for tv rather than a book.

I think Every Missing Girl had potential and I appreciated how Sparks tried to work in false leads and twists, but this book just fell short for me.

Thankyou @crookedlanebooks and @netgalley for the advance reveiw copy of this gem of a book.

First things first, I AM IN LOVE WITH KENDALL AND ADAM. They are so cool and such chemistry**professional. I loved this read so much I could not recommend it enough.

The plot starts dual case investigation - one with a little girl missing and another one a shootout at a convience store. About the plot i would say, it was believeable and well constructed. The fast paced crime thriller has me totally hooked.

I wasn't aware of the fact that this was part 2 in the Kendall Beck series but definately anyone can read it as a standalone. I loved this one so much that I am definitely going to read book 1 of the series. If I was to give an honest review in one line I would say, " THIS IS HOW A FBI PROCEDURAL SHOULD BE. RUN, DONT WALK, RUN TO YOUR NEAREST BOOKSTORE AND GRAB A COPY.

The book is short around 300 pages with short chapters another good point. I liked the fact that not all crime books need to have happy end to be impactful. Loved the ending. It also broke my soul a little bit being another to a little girl. The book protrays crimes in a subtle way, without any graphic violence. Anyone who wants a fast paced light hearted crime mystery with a chill giving writing for this one right away.

Copy kindly received via NetGalley for an honest review.

This was a really good read with good characters. Kendall is a great FBI Agent who works well with others and other agencies. Lots of lies to unravel in this one. And a surprise ending. Would recommend.

I will admit this one took me a little bit to get into. Mostly because the kindle download had insane formatting and the NetGalley app is not my preferred choice. But once I was able to really sit down and read it, I was sucked right in.

A convenience store robbery turned double homicide one day and a detective’s nieces disappearance the next. Are these two cases connected or is this just a mass consequence?
Every Missing Girl follows the investigation led by Kendall Beck and Adam Taylor. Beck works for the FBI specializing in missing children cases. When Detective Taylor’s niece disappears after a hockey game, it’s up to them to find her and uncover what happened? They untangle more lies and secrets than they ever expected.

Thank you to Crooked Lane Books for this advanced copy of Every Missing Girl. Wow. Where do I even begin?? I devoured this book in less than 4 hours. I didn’t move from my seat because I was so invested in this investigation. I love, love, love a book with a strong female lead and Kendall Beck is now one of my new favorite fictional characters. Although this book is second in a series, it can be read as a standalone. (I’m ordering the first book asap).
This is the first book that has also made me cry in quite a while. Many reviews were disappointed in the ending but the gritty and raw truth of the subject matter just shows you that not every story has a happy ending. Although this is a work of fiction, so many children are faced with this fear and this tragedy every day.
If you enjoy fast-paced, page burning thrillers, this is one to definitely add to your list.

Thank you so much to the publishers for my early read of Every Missing Girl in exchange for my honest review.

After finding a kidnapped girl in a variety store robbery gone wrong, special agent Kendall Beck once again finds herself caught up in another kidnapping this time with a fellow colleague's niece named Frankie.

(At first) I definitely wish I had started with the first novel in this series as it would have made things a smidge easier to follow in terms of the background of special agents Beck and Taylor. I was also a tiny bit disappointed in the ending. However, I really enjoyed reading this one overall and will still be going back to read the first one after this.

Every Missing Girl is the second book in the Kendall Beck series by Leanne Kale Sparks. I hadn't read the first book, but had no trouble keeping up with this one. FBI special agent Kendall Beck deals with missing children cases and is sometimes assisted by Detective Adam Taylor. They are paired together in Every Missing Girl as they are investigating a kidnapping. This hits close to home very quickly as Adam's niece, Frankie, vanishes from a hockey rink with her parents, Adam, and Kendall waiting for her in the stands after the game. They wait for her to come out of the locker room, but she never does. Finally, they get worried and Kendall goes to have a look. The kids are all gone and the only person left is the rink manager closing up. He has no idea what happened to Frankie. He thought she left with her family.

Every Missing Girl keeps you reading as you want to know what happened. The list of suspects grows longer as you read and you won't be able to guess who took Frankie. I don't want to spoil the ending so I am not saying too much. This was a very good book and I recommend it highly if you like a good mystery. The subject matter of missing kids and the impact on their parents is tough, but it's the world we live in. I give Every Missing Girl 4 stars. I really liked Kendall Beck and Adam Taylor and am going to go back and read book 1.

Thank you to NetGalley and Crooked Lane Books for an advanced copy in exchange for a fair review. #EveryMissingGirl

Book Review!!!
Every Missing Girl by Leanne Kale Sparks
🌟🌟🌟🌟.5/5

When a good Samaritan stumbles across a previously-missing child at the scene of a convenience store robbery turned double-homicide, FBI Special Agent Kendall Beck and Denver Police Detective Adam Taylor team up to figure out why the missing girl was in the company of the now-deceased robber. They uncover a string of similar kidnappings in the process.

The case gets very personal very quickly when Taylor's niece, Frankie, vanishes into thin air after her hockey game. Kendall and Adam race against the clock to find Frankie and put an end to the kidnappings before it's too late.

When I first picked up Every Missing Girl, I was a slightly put off by the cover. It is eerily similar to Local Woman Missing by Mary Kubica, a novel that has enjoyed great success since its release in May of 2021. Publishers, this is intentionally in an effort to piggy-back on the success of the original novel. The practice signals to me the publishers' lack of confidence in the author and their story and it feels cheap. I hate it so much, I almost didn't read this on principle alone.

I'm glad I did though because the story was phenomenal! Sparks is a wonderful storyteller and this tale drew me in right away and kept me in its grips long after I'd finished reading it. Shame on the publishing team for not letting this novel stand on its own two feet; Sparks' writing does not need a cheap gimmick to hold it up.

The plot is fast-paced and heart-wrenching. At the same time, there is enough character development and well-written interactions amongst the many members of the investigative team that I'm intrigued and invested and I want more stories featuring Beck, Taylor, and their teams. Sparks told the story in such a way that the ending came out of left field but once I learned it, I was shocked I hadn't seen it coming. I hope this novel enjoys all of the recognition and success it deserves.

This mystery had me hooked from the beginning! I couldn’t put it down! Unexpected twists and turns. Great novel! I will be expecting to find more from Leanne Kale Sparks!

I was so excited when I found out that there was a second Kendall Beck book coming out, so I requested it immediately! I read The Wrong Woman last year and thought it was such a well written police procedural!

FBI agent Kendall Beck and Detroit Homicide Detective Adam Taylor team up to investigate a kidnapping case, but soon after they start working on that case, Adam's niece, Frankie, disappears after her hockey game. When they find a connection to a local sex trafficking ring, they are even more desperate to find her.

I love Kendall, and how smart and tough she is! I also love how she can be a bit sarcastic when she interviews suspects! She is good at her job and determined to solve her cases.

The ending was unexpected and one of the best that I have read in a thriller/police procedural novel.

This book was fast-paced and well written, and I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Thank you so much to @netgalley, @crookedlanebooks, @prbythebook
and @lmksparks for the gifted e-arc of this book!
