Thank you NetGalley and Harper 360 for granting me this ARC.
I was really excited for this novel. The premise I thought was captivating. It was a dud. It was off puting feom the start with the social media influencer who hates it 🙄. There were so many plot holes that were very hard to look over in order to enjoy the novel. There was an attempt at growth but it just wasn't there. Charlie was the only redeemable trait however it gave 'I need a man to fix me' vibes. I wanted to like this for what it was but I couldn't.

How to Kill Men and Get Away With It by Katy Brent is a gripping book that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. The story follows Kitty Collins, a complex character who is a friend, lover, and killer. The way the author portrays the protagonist's addiction to revenge is both chilling and fascinating.
The plot is well-crafted, with unexpected twists and turns that kept me guessing until the very end. The writing style is engaging and descriptive, making it easy to picture the scenes in my mind.
Overall, I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a thrilling and suspenseful read. Katy Brent is a talented author who knows how to keep her readers hooked from beginning to end.

4 stars!
"How to Kill Men and Get Away With It" by Katy Brent is a biting, twisty, turny, murderous dark comedy with a fantastic commentary. This book is a fast-paced trip and one heck of a wild ride, vigilante $h1t. It's obvious to me why so many people don't like this book: they can't imagine a woman being a serial killer and ostensibly enjoying it. There is a meme online that says, "I support women's rights, but I also support women's wrongs, too," and that's exactly how I feel about this novel. This book is great. The main character, Kitty, is devilishly hilarious with her quippy inner monologues, her vapid friends, her blasé attitude, and her penchant for justice via chopping up m3n who have wronged others. I do think that a little mystique gets lost the longer this book goes on. It drags a bit in the last half. As the book goes on, Kitty feels progressively more and more guilty about her favorite pasttime. I enjoyed the twists I never saw coming. I found this to be a fun, fast, enjoyably different read. I laughed a lot and was shocked a lot at this devious, twisted thriller.
Thank you to NetGalley, Katy Brent, Harper 360, and HQ Digital for the complimentary ARC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for my review.

This dark comedy is all about Kitty Collins, a well-known influencer in the UK. She doesn't really intend to kill anyone, but she finds out pretty quickly that she's good at it, and with access to her family's meat processing plant, it's easy to destroy the evidence.
This book is a wild ride. It's dark, but hilarious in its outrageousness. I highly recommend it, but it is a little cringe-inducing at times. Maybe don't read it when home alone!

A fun, fast read (if you enjoy murderous influencers *wink*). Killing Eve meets Gossip Girl.
**I received this advance copy free from HarperCollins via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.**

A fast-paced, gripping and gory exploration of female rage in the wake of the #MeToo movement. I didn’t expect to enjoy reading Kitty’s narration as much as I did, because she’s overall a snobbish, entitled and awful person, but there were some witty moments and I rather like an unlikeable protagonist.

I really wanted to love this book more than I did; however, I had a hard time making it to the end and caring about the characters.
The premise sounds so fun with the woman righting wrongs as a serial killer, but that seems to be a bit of an exaggeration to what you actually get.

Thank you Netgalley and Harper 360.
This was a fast paced fun read! Not my typical genre of books, but I really enjoyed this book! I can’t wait for more from this Author.

This book was wild. With the adorable cover, I thought it’d be more of a cozy mystery but it was much heavier and gruesome than that. In the end, I think I enjoyed it but I feel like I need to think about it some more. There are interesting themes that kept me coming back but the descriptions of murder were tough to read, in my opinion.

How to KIll Men and Get Away With It was a cute and goofy thriller but I just couldn't make myself love it. It was kind of all over the place and jumped around a bunch - I didn't LOVE it, but it was fun.

3./5 stars
I love the cover, title, and premise of the book. I’m normally all about women power and righting wrongs.
This was a solid book, and I wanted to love it. One accidental murder makes Kitty into a serial killer? I can’t decide if it went too far or didn’t go far enough for me in some respects. I didn’t connect with Kitty, but found some redeeming qualities in how she treated friends. I may reread later and see if it clicks a little more for me.

I was expecting more from the story and based on the cover and description I thought it would be right up my alley but unfortunately I had a hard time wanting to finish it.

Thank you to the author and Harper Collins for the gifted book! ❤️ #gifted. My review is comprised of my honest thoughts.
Read this book if you like: Goofy type thrillers
Honestly, just no. I really wanted to love this. It was choppy, all over the place, and I could not like the main character. It was very cheesy, not in the way I like. This was not for me.

I was hoping this book would be funnier than it was, the Title and the cover won me over. While, it is not my favorite book, I would recommend it to others who prefer this genre.

This thriller/comedy follows influencer Kitty Collins as she accidentally kills a man following her home after the bar one night. She isn't remorseful, thinking that since he was a bad person anyway that the world is better off without him. Then, as she comes across other men who the world would be better off without, she discovers a new hobby. Balancing this new hobby, a budding romantic relationship, and her other friendships makes Kitty a very busy girl.
TW/CW: murder, sexual assault, rape, dismemberment, eating disorder
My favorite aspect of this read was far and away the voice. Kitty has such a distinctive voice that hits you right in the face at the opening of the book. As a character-focused reader, I absolutely love voice-y MCs and how much that voice adds to the overall narrative. I think it is even more important in this read due to Kitty's newly found hobby. The character's voice can be the difference between the read having a comedic edge and it being a much darker story. I do think that Kitty does veer into the 'unlikable MC' territory a bit, especially with her friends. But as the story progresses, even these unlikable personality quirks become integral to the plot and I think they come full circle to endearing.
Kitty's friend group is filled with the stereotypical, vapid, influencer types. Since we are so far in Kitty's POV, we don't get a whole lot of detail about these friends right away. As the story progresses, we do get more information but they never quite felt like fully fleshed out characters to me - they stayed more on the caricature side of things. I did like how the friend group felt like a real friend group where they might be annoyed at each other at times, but overall they are supportive of each other. This point is especially emphasized in the last third of the book.
Going into this read, I was a bit afraid that the murder aspect would either be very sparsely used or would end up feeling monotonous. However, I was pleasantly surprised that we do get a number of kills and they are all varied. We get a number of different circumstances, all centered around revenge and feminine rage. Kitty is not one to mince words when it comes to how she feels about predators and the ways men act toward women. However, this world view does get a little heavy handed toward the end of the book. It is very obvious (and confirmed in the author's note at the end) that a certain cultural moment influenced this plot. I just thought that when we get to the last 10% or so, that Kitty's voice goes away and the book's 'message' takes over. However, I thought Kitty was doing a fine job as a character getting the reader to empathize with her world philosophy.
Overall, this was a fun read that lost steam at the end for me. I really enjoyed our MC's voice and the variety of kills we get on page. However, I didn't quite connect with the other characters we see.
Thanks to NetGalley and Harper 360 for the ARC. Publication date was June 13, 2023

This was definitely a dark and very twisty book but oh was it fun! And hilarious! While I would never recommend murder as a problem-solver, this author makes it seem plausible and somehow appropriate. I loved every minute of this book and will certainly read more by this author. Thank you NetGalley for the advanced readers copy for review.

This was okay.
I can appreciate the attempt but the main character's voice was just very annoying. As a whole, I do not think this was a bad book, just not my favorite.

This was SUCH a fun book! When main characters Kitty is followed by a guy from the club she takes matters into her own hands. From there she slowly spirals into an addiction of justice. I've recently read a few books where the main character takes justice into their own hands. They've all been fast, fun reads and this falls right into that niche.

This one was quite the ride as we follow our main character’s evolution from social media influencer and socialite to a serial killer of predators. Throwing twists and turns in there left and right, I was occasionally caught off guard by abrupt shifts or revelations. Solid thriller - very campy in some ways - enjoyable overall.

My kiddos loved telling their friends I was reading How to Kill Men and Get away with it! I have to admit the title of the novel is why I picked up the book.
The lead characters is a female with her own sense of justice. Yes, you are reading about a female seral killer while I should say it's terrible it's not. It is charming story with humor and steamy times for romance readers.
I promise you will laugh while reading this story of murder.
Thank you Netgalley
