"LET"S DANCE! Learn the Rumba, Waltz, Sing and Tango. Six weeks of fun-filled lessons for ages 18+. Put on your dancing shoes and join us at Abernathy's School of Dance!"
This is a sweet story about second chances and finding happiness that seems to be elusive. Both Kingston and Olivia are stuck in their ways. Perhaps they simply need a nudge or some dancing lessons to push them together.
What I enjoyed about the book is that the main characters were so relatable. We all have made sacrifices on behalf of our families and those that we love. How easy it is to put our lives on hold. Seeing the growth of both Olivia and Kingston in recognizing what they really want in life makes this such an enjoyable read.
This is book four in the Maple Falls Romance series. This small-town series features friends who are in need of community and connection. A reader could follow this book as a standalone, but by reading all four books, one would appreciate the character connections more. I really enjoyed all four books.
I was able to read an advanced copy of this book through NetGalley. I wanted to read this title as I also have read the other books in the series. All opinions are my own.
Thank you to NetGalley and to Thomas Nelson for an ARC of this book.
I hadn't read anything previously by this author and I am always looking for something new or a new Author so I thought I would give this book a try.
I read the synopsis and it sounded like something that I would enjoy. This book started out really good for me and then just completely fell apart. I hated the meddling people in the story and that they thought they knew what was best for Olivia. I just found the whole book rather anoying, which is really a shame.
I might end up reading another book by this author, but it will be a while. This was a miss for me.
I liked this one, but not as much as the other books in the series. Some of the characters (Karen) were very frustrating. I'm glad to see that the issue was addressed within the story.
This book legit annoyed me, lol. The others in the series have been enjoyable, albeit imperfect, and I was excited to finish out the series--but I literally came away early on wondering whether a big chunk of the book was simply ... left out. There was SUCH a huge gap between the MCs walking to one's car to go out for coffee (a barely-there first date) and then ... suddenly very romantically entwined! Like, what?! How did they go from Point A to Point F with zero description in between? I skipped back to see if I'd missed something, but nope.
I had little patience to continue feeling it out, and caught up enough via other reviews to feel okay about simply moving on.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
I have been reading every book in this series and enjoying every character in this beautiful small town.
.
It may look like any other small town but with the perfect characters for a love story
.
I like that they don't follow an expected time and that the story changes with the characters.
This is a close door second chance romance between a small town librarian and her best friend's brother, a workaholic pediatrician.
.
Two characters with an addiction to learning and working hard who meet by chance after a long time and realize there is chemistry between them but their routines and pride get between them and they lose the opportunity for something more, until life and their close circle make them rethink their lives
.
Kingston has a lot going on, with his private practice, his volunteer work and classes as well as speaking at conferences, his life is dominated by hard work until he is forced to take a sabbatical and before he can book a ticket he He end up promised to be the dance partner in the classes his mother takes and there he re meets Olivia, the librarian who is trying to break her routine and who has swear to forget about him completely. But when they're paired together it's obvious there's a lot of spark between them
.
Of course there are meddling characters, in this case a knitting group that decides to take action on the matter but at the same time there is the love story of one of its members
.
I love the energy of these characters, the time and how everyone's story evolves in each book. It can be read as stand alone but once you read one, it is enough to see the others and to want to read the entire series
.
Thanks to Kathleen Fuller and Thomas Nelson Fiction for give me a copy of this beautiful book in exchange of my voluntary and honesty opinion.
Two to Tango was the perfect end to this series! I loved reading Olivia & Kingstons story. But Erma's sidestory was the best! Living in Maple Falls during all 4 stories, felt like happiness. I am honestly sad to have my time in these books done. Read the series. You won't be disappointed.
This is a good book. The two main characters are Olivia and Kingston. They have known each other all their lives. She is Kingston’s sister best friend. Olivia is head of the the library and Kingston is a pediatrician. The matchmakers in their town start trying to get them together. Olivia and Kingston try to out do them by dating before they start matchmaking. They each have problems but together they work them out and fall in love.
Two to Tango by Kathleen Fuller is a sweet romance that will appeal to readers that enjoy clean women’s fiction. I really liked the characters because they were not your typical romance characters. In addition, this book is set in a small town reminiscent of the classic Hallmark type small town. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.
This series has been a hit or miss for me. I loved the first one but hated the second one. However this was a hit with me. I love the romance between the hero and heroine.
Olivia is the librarian of Maple Falls. Young, single and dedicated to getting multiple degrees and sticking to her self-imposed schedule. One of the things on her schedule is the monthly Vintage Movie Night at the local cinema. She sits in the same row, same seat each month. Imagine her surprise when she sees her best friend's brother, Kingston there! He's all grown up and is a pediatrician. And, wow, she never noticed before how good looking he is! He ends up sitting next to her sharing popcorn and what's that feeling Olivia is getting being next to him? And, how did she end up sitting on the hood of his car afterwards and kissing him?!!! Wow! He promises to call her, but...never does. Olivia is so hurt. The first time she branches out and takes a chance, and this happens.
Little does she know, that Kingston has his own strict schedule he adheres to. He has over committed himself so much that he is ordered to take a sabbatical from the clinic where he works. A two month sabbatical!
A year later, she is in the wedding party at his sister, Anita's wedding. She vows to avoid Kingston. Little does Kingston and Olivia know, there is matchmaking in the works! Aunt Bea and her Bosom Buddies are known matchmakers. Then, there's Kingston's mother, Karen, who is determined Kingston won't remain 'utterly alone.' Ballroom dance lessons seems to give the perfect 'matchmaking' opportunity. And, just maybe, it won't be only Kingston and Olivia who find love.
I was given an advanced ecopy by the publisher, Thomas Nelson through Netgalley. I was under no obligation to leave a positive review.
Fall vibes, Hallmark movie feels! Two to Tango, the perfect relaxing read. Follow Olivia, the bookish heroine who loves vintage movies, and Kingston, the "known him all my life" male lead, as they find love and shake things up! Pass the 🍿 and enjoy this sweet Maple Falls Romance series finale. Small town charm, slow burn, and a happily ever after guaranteed!
I have been waiting for these two characters to get their story. I enjoyed the setting, the antics of the older ones in town working to get our young couple together. I loved the added lesson of learning to balance life and knowing what’s most important for a full happy life.
Thanks @tnzfiction & @kf_booksandhooks for the ARC. My thoughts are my own.
Sweet, small-town romance where everyone knows your business. This is the 4th book in this series that takes place in Maple Falls, Arkansas.
Olivia and Kingston are both very ambitious and their work is their lives. Olivia is the head librarian of the local library trying to make changes for the good of the patrons. Having both parents who are college professors, she takes a college class each semester working on more degrees. Having a Bachelor's degree and a two master's degrees, the skies the limit. She was raised by her Aunt Bea and Uncle Billy who never had children of their own, because her parents thought it would be better for her. Her parents are both unemotional and involved with their work. Her Aunt and Uncle showered her with love.
When she runs into Dr. Kingston Bedford at the old movie theater one night, they both are shocked by the chemistry between them. Having grown up with his sister, Anita, as her best friend her whole life, Kingston was always around. Now he's the local pediatrician with no idea how to manage time for himself.
When he asks Olivia out for a date and ends up ghosting her not once, but twice, she refuses to be hurt by him again. But her Aunt and the BB's have other ideas that lead to meddling with their lives. In the end, Olivia can't live with all of the lies and calls off the farce of faking a relationship. Leaving Kingston with nothing but regret on how he treated the beautiful woman he can't seem to get off of his mind.
A cute read.
Two to Tango is the fourth book in the Maple Falls series. Each book in the series focusses on one woman from a group of friends, and as such, it could probably be read as a standalone. Still, I think readers will get the most out of the story and have a better understanding of the characters and town if they've read the previous books first.
I've really enjoyed the previous books in the series, so I was really looking forward to this one... and right away I was drawn into Olivia and Kingston's story. The two connected super early on, and quite quickly. To the point that one minute they were thinking there might be something there and the next---the first kiss. So quickly that I actually went back, thinking I'd missed a page or two somehow! Despite that initial chemistry though, the story for the most part was actually a rather slow burn as these two had a lot to figure out before they reached a happily ever after! Naturally this allowed for a lot of meddling from family and townsfolk, which is certainly one of my favorite things about this series in general!
While I can't say that this was my favorite book in the series, I did find it to be an enjoyable read and I enjoyed catching up with all the characters in Maple Falls!
**I received a complimentary copy for consideration. All opinions are my own.
I've so enjoyed going back to Maple Falls and seeing the gang once again. This time it's Olivia's story and I especially loved that she's a librarian! She meets up once again with her friend Anita's brother Kingston and even though sparks fly they really do have a hard time getting together. They're both busy but King just has a really hard time prioritizing life. He was a little frustrating but so glad he finally got his life under control in the end!
Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review. All opinions are my own.
Publication date: 11 July 2023
I have been LOVING this series. Definitely a top fav of mine. I was excited to find how the story unravels for Olivia and Kingston. If you loved any of the other books in the series, you're going to love this one too!!
I received a complimentary copy from Thomas Nelson and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.
Two to Tango is book 4 in the Maple Falls series. It's a second chance / best friend's brother romance that tells the story of Olivia Farnsworth who is a head librarian who has been twice beaten by the same guy. Twice Kingston Bedford the swoon-worthy pediatrician has broken her heart twice . Through intervention by Aunt Bea and her bosom buddies , a doctor forced to take a two month sabbatical and ballroom dancing lessons two seemingly broken hearts find their way to each other. Feel-good, swoon worthy and though predictable was a delightful read.
This is the fourth book in the Maple Falls series. I love how the town of Maple Falls schemes to try and get Olivia and Kingston together. If only they would just give in to how they feel for each other. You'll have to read the book and find out what happens between the two of them.
I received an ARC from NetGalley.
I was delighted for another opportunity to visit the town of Maple Falls via this sweet second chance and fake dating romance. This time the spotlight was on Olivia, a risk averse librarian with a strong need for routine and predictability, and Olivia’s best friend’s older brother, Kingston, a pediatrician who was an overworked people pleaser that avoided conflict by never saying “no.” As usual the Bosom Buddies, aka the BBs, decided to do a little matchmaking and it led to some funny and not-so-funny moments in the story. The two main characters both made some positive changes that helped their personal growth and brought them together in a satisfying happily ever after. This book could be read as a standalone but I think readers would enjoy it much more if they read the earlier books in the series first. I really enjoyed it and am happy to recommend it. Rating 4.5. I received a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley and this voluntary review contains my honest opinions.
It takes Two to Tango! Fourth in the series, the book brings us the story of Olivia and Kingston. Both dedicated to their careers, they both are not looking nor have time for romance. However, when the local matchmakers feel they should be together, there is no stopping them. Will Olivia and Kingston find Love? Or will they falter steps getting there? I love this series. I look forward to the next. I received a copy through Netgalley. A review was not required.
Two to Tango by Kathleen Fuller was the perfect continuation to her Maple Falls Romance series. Here, we have Olivia and Kingston’s story, one full of ups and downs, but nevertheless, oh so satisfying. Complete with small town charm, endearing yet quirky characters, and a storyline that kept the pages turning, I easily fell in love with this book.
This entire series has been a delight. I highly recommend reading the books in order, however. Reminiscent of Melissa Tagg’s excellent books, the Maple Falls Romance series is one I thoroughly enjoyed. I am hoping for more of this series soon!
I received this book from Netgalley. All opinions are my own.
