Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
When career- driven Olivia Farnsworth and Kingston Bedford refuse to act on their obvious chemistry. The town of Maple Falls schemes to to pair the pair up- and dance their way to another happy ending? Not my favorite book. None of them have a backbone.
Delightful small-town contemporary romance
Perfect for fans of Debbie Macomber and Jan Karon, as well as Hallmark movie fans
Includes discussion questions for book clubs.
This novel opens with main characters Olivia and Kingston reconnecting at a showing of an old Hollywood movie at their town's theater, and now I have to add that to my bucket list. What fun!
Charming small town atmosphere abounds in this latest addition to the Maple Falls series which promises to reunite you with all of the beloved characters from the previous three novels!
3.5 stars. I really debated if it was more a 3 or 4 * story, but went down in my rating because the main characters actually didn't spend much time together. It did however keep me entertained because I really wanted to see how our author would redeem our H. Yet.... our couple is two really boring and bland people. The closest I can come to describing this book is that it seemed more like a chick-lit/woman's fiction with the "explore and get my life figured out" vibe, but more so for the H. Overall, an ok, low steam story. * I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and this is my voluntary and honest review.
It was a good book and really enjoyed it all and rooted for this couple to make it. Love it all. Enjoyed all of her other books. glad i was able to get this book to read.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Kathleen Fuller grabs attention right away in Two to Tango. Readers immediately see the spark of attraction between Olivia and Kingston. But then, of course, nothing goes as planned for either Olivia or Kingston.
Olivia is a fiery, passionate, intelligent woman protecting her heart with a layer of rigid schedules and predictability.
Kingston is a brilliant pediatrician that struggles to bring balance to his life. The lack of boundaries leaves him burnt out and forced to take a break. Will this be the opportunity to make amends with Olivia?
Forgiveness is one thing, but trust is another. Our pair decide friendship is the best bet. Enter the BBs, the town's version of “meddling mamas.” Will their matchmaking plot work out or blow up in their faces? Be sure to check out this fun read to find out. Bonus, readers also finally see where Jasper and Erma’s bickering leads.
This cute small town romance was absolutely adorable. I needed this book. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy. I could read this book over again.

What I’ve learned from reading other books by Kathleen Fuller is she has the most interesting, delightful, fun characters that get right into the readers heart from the beginning. This book is no exception.
This enchanting, delightful story takes us back to the small town of Maple Falls, Arkansas where Olivia, the town librarian depends on her very precise planning for all things. She is very predictable and as an example every Monday for many years she arrives 30 minutes early for Vintage Movie Night at the local Sunset Cinema. She sits in the same seat each time, seventh row, tenth seat and has the same drink, a Diet Coke. On one particular night a man sits in her row. What a surprise to find it is Kingston, the older brother of her best friend, Anita. He slides over and shares his popcorn with her.
Olivia’s parents are academics and were often out of town doing research and eventually moved away. As a result, Olivia was partly raised by her Aunt Bea. Aunt Bea has a close circle of friends, who call themselves the Bosom Buddies, BBs for short. At a regular meeting of the BBs, it has been decided Olivia is in a rut and needs a man in her life. Her close friends are now all married and some even expecting their first child. The BBs feel it’s their duty to go into full matchmaking mode with their sights set on Kingston as the perfect man for Olivia. They even recruit Kingston’s mother to get involved in their matchmaking schemes. This causes Olivia and Kingston to come up with the idea of “fake” dating to throw them off and to hopefully leave them alone. Fake dating, along with dance lessons at the new dance studio in town creates more complications than they could have ever imagined.
This book is full of shenanigans contrived by the masterminds of the BBs, in fact, one of the BBs has also taken her friendship with Jasper an old friend to another level. Has been awhile since I’ve read such a heartwarming, delightful, laugh-out-loud book. I was disappointed when I came to the end, but hopeful Kathleen has more of these of these stories yet to come.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
This book was not for me, I’m afraid. Romances just don’t interest me anymore though I still try them now and then. I’m sure romance readers would find this title sweet and enjoyable though.
Two to Tango is a return visit to the charming small town of Maple Falls for the story of librarian Olivia Farnsworth and Dr. Kingston Beford.
It's a miracle this overscheduled and regimented pair ever get together! Olivia likes things done by the book and her calendar rules her life. Kingston on the other hand is so busy with his pediatric practice, volunteer work and speaking engagements, he has no time for a personal life.
What follows is a comedy of errors that will have readers laughing and wincing at the same time. It doesn't seem like things will ever work out until the matchmaking BB's and the Chick Clique get involved. I enjoyed seeing old friends from the other books in this series.
Two to Tango is a delightfully entertaining book about finding balance and true meaning in life. I appreciate Thomas Nelson via NetGalley making a copy of Two to Tango available for review. All thoughts and opinions are my very own.
I have loved Kathleen Fuller’s Maple Falls series! However, Two To Tango was not my favorite novel. The story takes place in small town Maple Falls where Olivia, a librarian, is stuck in a rut until she becomes reacquainted with Kingston, her best friend’s brother. Kingston is a local pediatrician, who can’t say no to anyone asking for help. This causes him to become so overwhelmed with life that he’s instructed to take a two month sabbatical. With two months free, he lets his mom talk him into taking dance lessons with her, leading to him and Olivia dancing together and rekindling feelings for each other through a fake relationship. Although the storyline was cute, I fell more in love with Erma and Jasper’s love story than Olivia and Kingston’s. Both Olivia and Kingston’s quirks drove me crazy at times. It was a cute, innocent romance and will, at times, keep you entertained.
This is a story about Olivia and Kingston. Olivia works at the library and just lives her life with not much going on. It is always the same, but she doesn’t really do anything to change that. She goes to the cinema once a week, orders a coke, watches an old movie and then goes home. Never stray from the routine. Doesn’t even think about it. Kingston, a pediatrician, seems equally dull. He likes to sometimes spend time visiting the cinema but most of the time arrives late, due to the fact that he has such a busy career. He works all the time! After five years of the same monthly routine of visiting the cinema by her own (!) Olivia is surprised to find Kingston there as well and they decide to watch the movie together. A great opportunity to make something of this plot, but for me it went downhill from there. They have known each other for ages but suddenly feel tinglings, sitting next to each other, out of the blue. Next they apparently are kissing and I found myself checking what I’d missed, because ehhh what just happened?! But yep, they are kissing. Out of the blue. Kingston then asks her out on an actual date but never calls her. When he meets her months later, the same thing happens! He says she’s special, they are a perfect fit together, he will call her, they kiss and he never calls. What a jerk! I wouldn’t spend a second of my time and energy on a guy who stood me up twice! If I’m not important enough for you to just contact me, then don’t expect me to sit around and wait for you. Enough guys who respect you enough to make the effort.
Olivia isn’t any better. Neither of them have any backbone, because going out with Kingston was the only time she considered getting out of the rut she was in. What kind of life do you have if all you can do is stay at home, and NOT going out with friends, have a good time, enjoy a date with a guy who does shows interest (instead of a guy who doesn’t call)?! I’d go out, have fun and find people to have fun with! Kingston is the kind of guy who lets his mother decide for him that he needs a haircut, like he’s five years old. Unfortunately the characters didn’t do it for me, and the story was lost on me.
I received and reviewed an advanced copy of this book and I am grateful for this opportunity. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Kathleen Fuller is just a wonderful go-to author for sweet, romantic novels. Great addition to this series for sure.
Another enjoyable installment in the series. I enjoyed that the characters we had not previously spent much time with were featured.
I didn't like this book by Kathleen Fuller nearly as much as I liked the other books in the series. The setting is wonderfully easy to imagine place for me, even though it is a fictional town, there are many references to real towns that I know personally.
The issues I had with this book were the characters--a boundary-stomping, entitled mother named Karen, the match-making Bosom Buddies, a weak-spined son named Kingston, and a mousy Olivia. Karen was the epitome of all the Karen memes across the internet. The Bosom Buddies, or the BBs, went into overdrive in their meddling match-making. Kingston was just the mama's boy who couldn't say no until someone said no to him quite forcefully, finally making him take an intense look at himself to see who he really was and how spineless he actually was. Olivia was the librarian and content to just let life move around her without much of involvement from her. I think the only character who knew his own mind and what he really wanted was Jasper, the retired hardware clerk.
I really wanted to like the book more and to have an entertaining read, but I was disappointed. The ending of the book ties up all the loose ends and the characters see their true needs and address them, but some characters take responsibilities that are not theirs to carry. It just wasn't a great read for me and was a disappointment after the others in the series were, in my mind, so much better. Two Stars

TWO TO TANGO is the third novel in the Maple Falls series by KATHLEEN FULLER, and in it we follow Olivia Farnsworth and Kingston Bedford’s story. It is altogether a delightful read as these two, who have known each other for years, suddenly find they have feelings for one another. After one disappointment after another, where the overworked paediatrician lets her down, Olivia decides to stick to her very organized life and forget about men and dating. However the Bosom Buddies and Karen Bedford have other ideas, and, in order to stop this interference, they decide to fake a relationship and then break up.Add to this some matchmaking in the ranks of the BB’s, ballroom dancing lessons and some very amusing situations, and you have a really fun read……
I was given a free copy of the book by NetGalley from Thomas Nelson. The opinions in this review are completely my own.
This is the first book I've read by Kathleen Fuller. I chose it mainly because it involved a librarian. It was an okay read but I didn't relate to the characters or the situation they found themselves in which reduced my buy in on the story. I understand it is a series based in Maple springs and maybe reading the other books in the series would have increased my enjoyment of the book.
I receive complimentary books for various sources including, Netgalley, Authors, and other such sources. I am not required to write a positive review and have not received compensation.
I read this as an ARC from Thomas Nelson and Netgalley. I have read the rest of the series and was really excited for this one! I absolutely loved this story and the slow romance that occurred in it. I loved that there were different themes about finding life balance, prioritizing what is important and following one’s heart. Definitely look forward to more from Kathleen Fuller.
I don’t know if this is the last we’ll hear from Maple Falls, but it’s been a fun, lighthearted series. This story features Olivia and Kingston. Both are very schedule driven and keep full to overflowing calendars. Kingston has more on his plate than he can handle, which leads to him not following through on some promises and some needed time off. We see the rest of the CC’s, as well as the BB’s, Jasper, Senior, Tanner and Hayden, as well as a couple newcomers, Sunny and Bubba. We have a couple matchmaker plots in this one as well.
A complimentary copy was provided by Thomas Nelson via NetGalley. A review was not required and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
I enjoyed this book and would recommend it. Kind of a light hearted romance with some matchmakers involved.
I liked the relationships between the characters.
Thank you to net galley for the arc of this book.
