This is a new to me author one i will be reading from again.
Loved this book! I finished it in a night because I couldn't put the book down! It was great!
Awesome characters and a winsome storyline!
Ms. Linder kept my heart pounding the whole time! Lots of exciting things going on in this story and I again, I loved every minute of it.
Heath and Nan's adventure became my own before I knew it.
Gothic adventures is slowly becoming my favorite. I love a good dark storyline every now and then.
5 stars for a well written book. Heath and Nan will make you think about them long after the story is finished.
I highly recommend!
My thanks for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are my own!

Hannah Linder can write a wonderful Gothic tale for sure! I was caught up in the mystery and foreboding feeling. There are very clear villains to immensely dislike and some unknown ones. But all will be revealed and some will take you by surprise.
My favorite character was Heath. He spent his life trying to do what was best for others and he just wanted to help people. I loved that in him. He wasn't a man of rank, but a common man trying to do the best he could with all the challenges he faced. And oh, those challenges were heart-breaking and tear-jerking.
A solid story by Hannah Linder. I can' wait to read more of her books!
I was given a copy to review by the publishers. The opinions and thoughts are my own.

Fans of regency romance with a subtle faith thread will be delighted by this book. With all of the gothic feels, readers will revel in the mysteries that surround Nan and Heath. One of my favorite things about the story was the cast of characters. There are a couple of villains readers will love to hate, a couple of heroes they will root for and a damsel in distress, but there are also a couple of secondary characters who will bring a smile to one's face. My favorite character is Mr. Stanhope, the perfect foil to Duncan.
Ms. Linder pens a multi-layered plot filled with tension that will keep her readers guessing. I found the storyline a little dark, but couldn't put it down. Romantic angst and danger lurking around every corner kept me frantically turning the pages, hoping to find the expected happy ending.
Content warning: there are some references to abuse and violence.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author/publisher through Netgalley. I was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

When Tomorrow Came
Sacrifice. Heath would do anything to save his sister, Nan. But would he sacrifice his future for his father?
I stayed up quite late last night reading this book. I was hoping it turned out the way I wanted. Nan must make the right choice. Was she also going to sacrifice her happiness to please others?
All the characters were written exceptionally well. Each character became real to me. Temperance longed to be loved. Young Charlotte needed her family's love and attention. Others needed revenge.
I don't want to give anything away but it was a surprise how it ended. It is a real page turner.

This book got off to a very fast start and kept moving from there. Siblings Heath and Nan Duncan had a rough start in life, living several years on the streets as children before their lives took different paths. When they reconnected as young adults, they aimed to please their long lost and newly-returned father, providing the impetus for their actions throughout the book. Of all the characters, Gilbert was my favorite due to his caring and winsome personality; however, I loved the whole Stanhope family and their kindness and generosity toward Nan. While I liked Nan overall, some of her decisions had me shaking my head. Heath was a loving brother who had to deal with frequent nightmares regarding past treatment in his youth, the ramifications of which affected him in the story. Temperance was a breath of fresh air with her sunny and positive disposition. This book was a definite page-turner with mystery and suspense and some unanticipated twists. It contained some dark, emotional elements that pressed on until the very end when the heaviness lifted and revealed a very satisfying conclusion. Readers of inspirational romantic suspense and mystery would enjoy this book.
I received an advanced reader copy from the publisher and NetGalley via Celebrate Lit Bloggers and Reviewers. A positive review was not required and the opinions and thoughts listed above are my own.

Wow! What a story! There is so much happening in this book! Brother and sister, Heath and Nan, are left in the care of a horrible abusive woman that they “run away” to the streets. Nan is hit by oncoming carriage in the street and taken in by the kind gentleman who hit her. Heath stays out of sight, he wants his sister to have a better life. The kind gentleman, Mr Stanhope, tries to find Heath and leaves him a note to where his sister will be but he never comes. Mr and Mrs Stanhope make Nan part of the family, with the children they already have including Gilbert the oldest child. As the years pass, Gilbert and Nan grow up together and are really close. The younger sister Charlotte also tags along but she is much younger. Heath grows up to with a Vicar. Eventually Heath and Nan reunite, not only with each other but with their long lost father. However, things may not be a perfect as they appear. Soon Gilbert starts having feelings of a different nature towards Nan but will she return them? Okay that’s all I’m going to write on the story because there is just so much to it.
The writing is so good but it does jump around a lot between character perspectives so be prepared for that. I really liked Heath’s character. I liked that there was a romance story for him as well. Gilbert and Nan are great characters as well. I really liked them. Them being together romantically was a little odd for me because they are practically brother and sister but I was still fine with it. Hannah Linder, really likes to surprise you with different elements in the story. I audibly gasped a couple of times at different events. So good! Overall fantastic read and clean, definitely recommend! Looking forward to her next book!

Content: child abuse, somewhat graphic injuries, death, attempted rape (not much detail)
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author, publisher, netgalley and austenprose. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

This story is heartbreaking and hopeful all at the same time. This follows the story of two siblings who were all but abandoned and living on the street. They were waiting for their father to come home, and Nan would ask Heath when Papa was coming, the answer was always tomorrow.
Nan and Heath are separated when an accident befalls Nan and she is taken in by a wealthy family. Heath lets her go so that she might have food and a life worth having. Heath returns to a Vicar that was kind to him.
This story shows so much about hardship, desperation, and love. There are different kinds of love and relationships shown in this story. There is sacrifice. I was taken on an emotional journey through their world. There were heavy pages and light moments for these characters. It was not the traditional story I was expecting, it was so much more.
I received an early copy from the publisher through NetGalley and this is my honest review.

When Tomorrow Came is a compelling Regency read. The multi-layered, cleverly constructed plot drew me in with the prologue and kept me engaged to the end. Diverse, richly-crafted characters drive the story forward. Some I wanted to hug, some I wanted to shake some sense into, and some I just plain didn’t like at all! The darkness and evil in this gripping story is tempered by endearing romance. The redeeming faith thread is inspiring. A favorite quote: “Maybe there was just today. Nothing more, nothing less. Just the present, with all its pleasures and hurts, with the future always out of reach. Perhaps tomorrow had never been meant for them at all. Perhaps tomorrow belonged to God.” I think inspirational historical romance fans will appreciate and enjoy this well-told story as much as I did.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley with no obligation to write a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

When Tomorrow Came by Hannah Linder is an amazing story, full of heartbreak, mystery and God’s faithfulness through the trials of life. This tale moved me to tears and brought joy to the forefront. It is a must read and I hope readers who love historical fiction have a chance to indulge in this beautiful book!!

3.25 star Absolutely love how the title fits with the storyline! This was the second book I've read by this author and I enjoyed it. I did enjoy her first book more - I felt that one really stood apart from the usual antics. This one felt a bit more predictable, and I did have to look at one point and make sure it was a romance, only because it took so long to have any romantic tension at all. I still wouldn't really classify this as a romance, just because there was very little angst or tension in the romances and much more of a focus on the brother/sister relationship as well as the mysterious crimes. I still am a bit unsure how the Marquess played into everything, and felt the fruit was a bit muddled there.
There were a few times that the men, the protectors, left the scene and subsequently left the women in danger...I really just do not care for this type of thing. It feels like an obvious set up and really kind of makes the men look like dummies. I think this was what really kind of set this book apart for me from the first one. Overall it seemed like the men in this book just got into one scrape after another to the point that it was laborious. Heath should have spoken up to and about his father as well.
There are a LOT of pleas to God and to Christ for help, probably more than any other book I've ever read. At one point when one of the MC is deathly ill, God is glorified regardless of the outcome. I was pretty impressed with that. God does not appear as a Santa Claus type figure in either of the books I have read by this author, quite to the contrary the MC faith remains regardless of earthly circumstances.
All in all, it was okay, but a bit of a bummer after loving the first book so much. I am still anxiously waiting to see what this author does next and hope for some amazing gothic spooky vibes similar to her first story!
CW: attempted rape scene; married couple in bed together the morning after they get married (nothing graphic, man is shirtless) I haven't seen a movie in years but I guess I would rate this PG-13.

First off, that cover is STUNNING and gives off the perfect vibes for the story. I think this regency historical fiction would pair well in autumn season. Overall, When Tomorrow Came is emotional, fast paced, and satisfied this little romantic heart! Throughout all the turmoil and pain these characters go through, I was rooting for them to find their happy endings and peace. The mystery was well done and had me flipping the pages to see the resolution. I had a feeling who the perpetrator was, but did not expect it to play out how it did. The ending was very satisfying and sweet! <3
There were many character decisions I had a hard time with, but I understood their reasons and it gave depth to their characters. The beginning chapters were quite confusing with the quick POV changes and fast scenes before the fast forwarding. Maybe it was just my e-reader format, but there were no text breaks between POVs. Some moments I did not realize the POVs had switched until a name was mentioned.
CW: violence, death, flashbacks to child abuse

~4.5 stars~
I do believe author Hannah Linder has a new reader fan! I derived a lot of pleasure from reading her debut book 'Beneath His Silence' and thoroughly enjoyed the Gothic atmosphere of this intriguing novel as well.
Brother and sister, Heath and Nan Duncan, are characters you'll love instantly—their problems and pain will become yours, their joys likewise. A little confusion ensued for me as the story switched back and forth between both main characters and it took a moment to realize which one the author was addressing. However, I certainly enjoyed being able to follow the lives and loves of each protagonist.
Replete with affluent, opulent estates of the upper crust, gorgeous ballgowns, mystery, danger, breathtaking romance, and unrequited love, 'When Tomorrow Came' is one not to be missed.
*I received an ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley and was under no obligation to write a positive review.*

HAUNTING.
I got so very wrapped up into this I could not put the last 30% down. I loved the way this built and built. I personally hadn’t realized it had a suspense element to it and it was GREAT. Consider me officially invested in all future Hannah Linder books.
I love multiple POV books and having four here worked into this plotline so well. Seeing everyone’s perspective on different matters made the book feel whole and that I could catch all of the angst and longing and desire to be wanted and cared for. Heath and Temperance’s romance was suuuper sweet. I wish there was a little more development there, but I did love them together and the journey they took as a couple.
And childhood friends to lovers is always a great trope. Nan and Gilbert had some great tension and I liked the romantic development here too. What I struggled with was Nan. I wish she was a little more dynamic? I kept expecting her to step up or realize what was happening and instead she mostly spent time as a damsel trying to please someone who didn’t deserve an ounce of her time. One of the antagonists just held too much sway that didn’t completely make sense for me.
I loved the setting and friendships. The Stanhope’s were incredible. I kept expecting something poor to happen there and I loved that it never did. It was a wonderful balance to the darker sides of this story. There is a heavy faith element throughout (for those who like to know!). I did enjoy the writing a lot and look forward to future stories. This was a different mash-up than I've read before and I really liked it.
Overall audience notes:
Historical Romance
Language: none
Romance: kisses
Violence: high
Trigger/Content Warnings; loss of a parent (off page), multiple murders, house fires, physical altercations, near death experiences, child homelessness, alcoholic parent, emotionally manipulative parent

Sweet Nan and Heath!
This has the feel of a classic… a little Austen and a little Brontë. It’s a good mix, bit as light as Austen but not as bleak as Brontë.
I loved watching the relationships change over time and the main characters grow up.

This book was amazing! It was heartbreaking and beautiful all at once. I loved Beneath His Silence by Hannah Linder when I read it last year so I was so excited to read her next release. I am happy to say it did not disappoint. I loved it!
First of all, the characters were so well written and I quickly grew to love each of them! I loved that none of them were perfect because that is what made them come alive for me. Typically I don’t care particularly like following multiple POVs but I found I loved it in this story! Nan, Gilbert, Heath, and Temperance all made their way into my heart. ❤️
My heart was breaking for Nan and Heath as I read about their childhood, especially for Heath. I quickly grew to love his character, even more so as the story went on. I really liked Nan’s character too. I loved watching her grow throughout the story. And Gilbert… well, Gilbert was amazing. I loved his character so much! My heart hurt for him numerous times and I just wanted to give him a hug because he was so sweet. Goodness, he was great.❤️ (I’ll try not to fangirl too much!)
Temperance was wonderful too! I really liked her character. She was a ray of sunshine.
The romances in this book was so, so sweet. The couples in this book reminded me of the classic fictional couples I love so much like Anne & Gilbert, Amy & Laurie, etc. which is something I can’t say for a lot of books I’ve read. These couples had that charm and sweetness to them that made me feel the way I did when I read about my favorite fictional couples from the classics and I loved that! The romances in this book was so, so sweet. Childhood friends to lovers is my favorite trope and it was so well done in this book! I felt all of the emotions as I read Gil and Nan’s story. They were one of those couples I just adored reading about. I loved their banter, their close friendship, their history. Their story was beautiful.❤️
Heath and Temperance were also the sweetest couple. I loved them so much. They made me so happy.
I loved the storyline of this book. I love books that center around family and while this one was heartbreaking, it was also beautiful. I loved the bond between Heath and Nan. I love that we get glimpses of their childhood so we understand the characters as they grow older.
I also really loved how faith was interwoven so beautifully into this story. That element brought such hope into this story. There were times I was in tears as this story unfolded. It was raw, real, and emotional.
The mystery and suspense combined with my love for the character made this book really hard for me to put down. I ended up finishing it in an evening.
Content notes: No language. The romance is no more than a few kisses. There is some violence but nothing I felt was overly gruesome or detailed. There is an attempted assault but it’s very brief and not very detailed.
In conclusion, I loved this book! It inspired me. It made me smile and it also made me emotional. I absolutely love Hannah Linder’s writing style. It’s beautiful! She is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.
This story had an engaging plot, lovable characters, and lyrical writing. It reminded me of Mansfield Park a little bit which I loved! If you’re looking for a good story that has mystery, romance, and faith as well as themes of family, forgiveness, and hope, I think you’ll really enjoy this one!
*Thank you to the publisher for sending me a complimentary copy to review! All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I felt this book dragged on a bit for about the first half but then picked up some. I did finish it; I almost put it down at about the halfway point. Heath and Nan are children left by their father in the care of a very abusive woman. They escape but life on the streets is not pleasant for them. After an accident they are separated and continue to grow up in very different circumstances. They both long for each other and the father who left them long ago. Eventually they do find each other and the father they have longed for but that's when the story gets really interesting. They learn that life changes everything including all of them. Can they be a family again? I did feel the love that Heath and Nan had for each other even though they were separated for years. The rector played a big part in guiding and shaping the life of Heath. There were parts that were terribly sad and difficult to read.

3.5 stars
When Tomorrow Came by Hannah Linder is an original story with a twist in the end. As for the characters, readers will feel bad for the lot that Heath and Nan have been given from the opening chapter. While they were given a horrible start, which tugs at the heart strings. I still feel that Nan and Heath were not fully developed. Nan, at the beginning, is closed off from a family that wanted to help her have a better life. Heath, on the other hand, worked really hard and learned the value of caring for others. But other than those characteristics, they were really not more developed than that. From the then on, the story appears to be moving forward into the right direction. But when their father returns, conflict arises. Emotions are twisted. Loyalties are tested. The plot does have moments of dry spells. But the climactic moment does have a twist that was unexpected, but as readers will agree, it was mirrored to be the reality of the ending of the story. The description and writing style that Linder uses to tell the story is nicely handled. I had no problem with allowing my imagination to roam and walk through the houses, cottages, and streets with the characters. The story was original and unpredictable, which was nice. Overall, When Tomorrow Came by Hannah Linder was an okay story. It had a good backstory to it that resonated with me, but the characters fell a little flat for me.
I received a complimentary copy of When Tomorrow Came by Hannah Linder from Barbour Publishing, but the opinions stated are all my own.

Nan and Heath Duncan are siblings living on the streets. After an accident, they grow up in different worlds. Years later, an unexpected visitor brings them together again and changes all they know. When Tomorrow Came, is an emotional, heartfelt story where one discovers what family really means and who they can rely on.
Here’s what I loved. The relationship between Nan and Heath. I love my siblings and understand the want for the best for them and their protection. I also loved the emotions that I felt while reading this book. I felt all the emotions and that kept me turning the pages. I wanted to find out what happens and feel the happiness and relief after the sad and scared moments.
When Tomorrow Came is a Christian fiction novel and I appreciated that the characters were able to strengthen their relationship and trust in God throughout the book. It wasn’t all is fine and perfect but like in life, they struggled and had to choose to trust in Him.
I was pleasantly surprised with this book. I enjoyed Hannah Linder’s first novel but I loved When Tomorrow Came. Linder did a wonderful job at writing a captivating story. I’m looking forward for more releases from her.
Thank you to Barbour Publishing and NetGalley for an advanced copy. These opinions are my own.

When Tomorrow Came captured my heart from the very beginning. With starving orphan siblings trying to survive and being separated had me turning pages to see how they would turn out. All the characters were so endearing and the story line with mystery and suspense kept me up way too late. And my romantic tendencies in reading had me giddy with not one, but two romances in this sophomore novel by Ms. Linder. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and I look forward to many more wonderful stories from this author.
*I was given a copy of this book by Barbour Publishing and this is my honest opinion.

Hannah Lindler's debut novel was outstanding, so I was very keen to read her second. She does a Regency well and I sure love a good one. She has crafted some fine characters with an in-depth story line. I was reading it every chance I got and now I'm looking forward to her next novel. My thanks to the publisher for a copy of this book via Net Galley.
