I have been in a bit of a reading slump the last couple of days, so I decided to read and clear a few of the picture books that I had received from Netgalley as these were quick reads and ones that I could get through and pump a few out. There's Snow One Like You is by one of my favourite children's authors Rose Rossner. I am a sucker for puns and quirky tales and she brings all that with her gorgeous picture books about parental love and family time. The illustrations in all her books are also super beautiful and adorable, they are the type of illustrations that make you go awh as they are also cute and fun. There's Snow One Like You is the perfect wintery read and as a board book it is great and easy to read for children aged 3-6 years old and if you have a child that is beginning school - this book is an excellent tool in teaching your child what puns are. Combining beautiful illustrations of polar bears, snowflakes, snowmen, ice skates, penguins, and more adorable characters with sweet and punny rhymes, There's Snow One Like You offers a timeless message of love and encouragement for your little one. A cute story for toddlers. My two year old grandson loves books like this. Perfect for the upcoming winter season.

This is the cutest book!!!! I would recommend this for a classroom read aloud and then you can do activities on what you read about! The best thing are the illustrations!!!!!!! They are chubby and just cozy!!!

Another wonderful book from Rose ROssner. This cute story uses puns to express love for our little ones and it couldn’t be more adorable. With winter on the way this would be a perfect gift book for any family to share. The puns are funny and unforgettable. My favorite is “you give the Sweetest cuddles, when i mallow out with you” and the adorable picture of an adult cup of cocoa and baby cup alongside. These adorable illustrations by Chiara Fiorentino really add to this cute tale of love. The story shows the many ways we love our little ones using winter and all its fun as the background. We received this story as an ARC and it will be added to our collection as well as gifted to some family friends. You will love this treasure.

This is such a cute book with fun pictures that young children will enjoy. The story is filled with puns on each page that are associated with the illustration. I enjoyed all the puns but one. The one I didn't enjoy as much I felt was disconnected.

I thought it was really cute story amd my daughter she loved it she asked if she could have that book be hers. She loved it all and so did i. Very good winter vibe children book.

If you enjoyed, You’re the Apple of My Pie by Rose Rossner, then you will enjoy this winter themed book too. If you enjoy puns, this book will be enjoyed by you with your little one. Younger children won’t easily pick up on these puns on their own, but over time they begin to understand more of them if you explain them as you read along. This type of humour is better understood by children who are about four or five years old, but children three and under will enjoy listening along and looking at the cute animations.

This adorable book was very “punny” and clever. It would make a good read aloud for the primary grades or for a parent to a child. It’s sweet and all about love and being unique.

There’s Snow Place Like You is full of winter puns that are humorous, but I think they would go above the audiences head. Since this is supposed to be a board book, I don’t see young kids understanding the puns. I read this with my three year old and he enjoyed the book and the illustrations, but he didn’t understand the puns in the same way I did. Overall this is a good book, I just think it’s geared to the wrong audience.
