Powerful and impactful read. She worked hard to get where she is and she overcame a lot of obstacles It’s always hard to rate someone’s life story.

This a compelling story of Miller's alienation from and desire to connect with her mother, who essentially abandonned her. Mixed in, are narrativies of Miller's paternal family and friends, who were notable in their achievements. Possibly ghost-written, the voice is a bit blander than it might otherwise be, but for storytelling, it's a rich narrative.
