Two friends who are sister-in-laws find their tight relationship being strained. Julia and Sienna are the best of friends. Julia is married to Sienna’s brother, Jason. They were instant friends when they first met. Their lives are intertwined in many ways. But soon things start to go downhill. Jason is in a car accident and a coma. But things take a turn for the worse when he is accused of murdering his boss. Julia starts to doubt her husband and things he may be guilty. Sienna thinks it's impossible that it could be hed brother. Both women are hiding secrets from each other too. Soon the secrets will emerge. Can their friendship last through the lies and revelations? Who really killed Jason's boss?

What I enjoyed:
- whoa, baby! This was a VERY well paced read. I could not put it down. I spent most of my night reading it and finished it when I woke up. Less than 24 hour read. The pages will be turning while you devour this book
- Dual POVS. This was one fun seeing both perspectives of Julia and Sienna. You get an idea of how opposite and similar they are. Plus how deep their love and friendship is.
- Their friendship was fun to see mapped out in the book. From the very beginning to present.
- The twist! I had an idea but I was still plesently surprised when the truth came out
- Also, I really loved Wyatt

This book was a really fun read! This is my second book by the author and definitely my favorite. The writing was strong, the pacing great, characters were likeable and felt real. I really enjoyed this story! Can't wait to recommend this to my book club. 4 stars out of 5. Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Thicker Than Water is another fantastic book by Megan
Collins! This is the story of Julia (the wife) and Sienna (the sister) to Jason and their incredible bond.
Jason ends up in an accident and while in a coma the SILs find out he is a suspect in a murder.
I loved the 2 different perspectives as you go back and forth between Julia and Sienna's point of view.
They take on the evidence and try to prove Jason is innocent but along the way they uncover truths about themselves as well as the case.
This was an engaging and fun book to read!
Thanks to NetGalley and Atria books for this ARC!

This story is told from two perspectives. Sienna, Jason's sister. And Julia, Jason's wife. In a matter of hours Jason's boss turns up murdered with his mouth sewn shut and Jason lies in a hospital bed in a coma after a car accident. And already three suspects and a heavy secret are revealed.

I was riveted by this story. The mystery only deepened with every chapter and I was dying to find out who was responsible. The characters were all excellent and really drove this story.

This was the first book I’ve read by this author and I was pleasantly surprised. When you read as many thrillers as I do, sometimes it can be hard to hold my attention. This book had me on the edge of my seat from cover to cover. The relationship between the characters, family dynamics, and the pace of the story, *chefs kiss*. I found myself waking up early to read and this book got me out of my reading slump! I would recommend this book to anyone who’s looking for a “light” thriller with great developments. Thank you to Atria Books and NetGalley for the ARC!

I enjoyed this book. I liked the dual perspectives of Julia and Sienna throughout the book. It was a quick read that kept me guessing the entire time. I would highly recommend this book to my friends when its released and I will be picking up a physical copy for myself to add to my collection. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC. This is one of my top 5 ARCs I have been lucky enough to read.

Two best friends, one married to the brother of the other. Their lives get turned upside down when they get a call to say that the husband/brother is in a coma in the hospital after a car crash. Things become even more complicated when the police want to arrest him for the murder of his boss once he wakes from the coma. His sister is convinced he's innocent and sets out to prove it. His wife, on the other hand, starts to wonder whether she really knows her husband, especially when her son confides in her. A good page turner.

There are 3 Megan's I will always read...Miranda, Goldin and Collins. This book is just as great as her last 3. There is a murder and a who done it, but more importantly it is about the binds if female friendship.
Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.

Thank you to #NetGalley and Bookouture for giving me the honor of reading and reviewing this book. This was another great book by #MeganCollins that I couldn’t put down. Loved the relationships and the drama between the characters. Would have like the ending to be added to a little more, but still loved it!

This is the second novel I have read by Megan Collins and it did not disappoint! Julia and her sister-in-law Sienna share a very strong relationship, possibly even more so than Julia and her husband Jason. But that friendship is put to the ultimate test when Jason’s boss Gavin is found murdered with his mouth sewn shut. Shortly after, Jason is in a car accident and the weapon and phone of the victim is found in his car. In a coma and not able to defend the accusations, Jason leaves Julia and Sienna feverishly searching for the truth. Sienna believes her brother can do no wrong..but Julia is having her doubts and even her son Aiden is left questioning his father’s actions. This was a fast paced read that had so many twists! Loved the story and gave it 4 stars!

Definitely kept me wondering from start to finish, I wasn't sure if I would like this book & I ended up liking it! The story was captivating, even though in some moments I wish it would have given a bit more. I loved that it gave dual perspectives of Julia and Sienna.

I absolutely loved this book. It kept me guessing the entire time. I thought I had things figured out, but I didn’t. There was one part of the book that sort of left things hanging. It wasn’t resolved, but in the scheme of things it was minor and didn’t affect the overall outcome. This one kept my attention the entire time. I’ll definitely be recommending this one to my book friends! 5 stars from me.

I just reviewed Thicker Than Water by Megan Collins. #NetGalley

I was pleasantly surprised with this story! I was a bit wary based on the synopsis but I thought the story line flowed nicely. Thicker Than Water contained the very typical thriller trope of finding out if the suspected killer really did it and plot twist it was someone else. Although the trope is done very frequently, Megan Collins did a very nice job of making the story still feel fresh. I really enjoyed the relationship that Sienna, Julia, and Jason had; the three seemed to be thicker than thieves. I liked the dual POV of Julia and Sienna. I felt that the reader could really differentiate between both women which is not always the case in some novels. Jason's character, although did not have much dialogue, was very refreshing to see as this great guy. He may have had his faults, but most men in thrillers are portrayed as nasty narcissists. The only part of this book that rubbed me the wrong way as Julia's seeming obsession with her brother, it just struck me as being beyond sisterly love. Overall, excellent fast paced thriller!

This boiler pot thriller is thankfully short enough that it held my interest until the end, but only because I was getting a pedicure and didn't want to start something new. I wanted to throw Sienna off the top of a very tall building and give Julia a smack. The big reveal is a snooze. This will be my last Collins book.

This book had me going backwards through my to-be-read and making sure that Megan Collins previous books were on there. Thicker Than Water was excellent! Julia and Sienna are best friends which makes Julia’s marriage to Sienna’s brother all the better, and all the more complicated as this story proves. This one starts off with the brutal murder of Jason’s boss and then Jason ending up in a coma following a car accident. Throughout this story Julia and Sienna will unlock secrets and connections that they never thought possible. I loved the dual character perspectives of Sienna and Julia and how their perspectives relate to their viewpoints as they discover more and more. I loved the past/present view of how the characters relate to one another and how it shapes their viewpoints. The ending was everything I hoped for and more.

I LOVED this book. I learned about Megan Collins after reading The Family Plot- which I loved- and was excited to see a new book. Told from 2 POVs and started off with a bang and never let up, this book was great! Told through a web of characters and relationships, some hiding secrets and others dealing with those secrets, you have to get your hands on this book if you can! I’d like to thank @netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book was pretty okay. I found the story captivating, but it fell flat in some areas. I found myself frustrated by Siennas inability to accept that her brother wasn’t perfect, or that people could change, but this was resolved in the last 15-20 percent of the book. I also found myself frustrated at the lack of depth from Julia’s character. She had issues, but wouldn’t look into them. The reveal was also pretty anticlimactic. I guessed it (or another slight variation) within the first 25% of the book. Overall, the book was just middle of the road.

Okay wow, this book pulled me right in. I absolutely love the way these characters were written; from Julia who seems to be the careful one, to Sienna who is stubborn and secretive, and even Aiden who is so mysterious for most of the story. Julia and Sienna’s relationship was absolutely perfect, even being total opposites they make the perfect pair of best friends. All these characters together form this perfect mystery that I could not put down until I finished it.

We start the story hearing of news that a man has been murdered, but there is currently no suspect in custody. However when Jason, Sienna’s brother/Julia’s husband, crashes his car and ends up in a coma, there are some pieces of evidence that all point to him being the murderer.
This whole story keeps you so intrigued as we switch back and forth between Sienna’s and Julia’s POV’s, getting to see how Julia tries to find evidence and be rational where as Sienna is set to find her own evidence to prove her brother’s innocence.

This book was just so good that I never wanted to stop reading, yet I was also so eager to get to the end to get all the answers I had been waiting for. Trust me when I say this is one ending you’re going to want to get to.

Huge thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for providing a copy of this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Very quick read; the mystery doesn't feel so much a mystery as we explore just how much we think we know vs what we do know. The plot swirls around a man in a coma so the narrative around what happened to him and his boss prior has to be pieced together by his wife and sister because hes well in a coma. So it's interesting the bonds the women share and the goal of unraveling this mystery. But that I liked the most was the exploration of the "nice guy" and what that means. Collins is a reliable writer for a readable thriller perfect for poolside.

“Thicker than water” is absolutely riveting, thought provoking, character driving, well developed psychological mystery from the creative mind of Megan Collins.

The complex, dysfunctional relationship patterns between layered, multidimensional characters, the twisty murder mystery as the questions raising up about who you can trust, the heart wrenching, skillfully wrapped up ending with surprising revelations are absolutely highlights of the book.
All those characters are realistically portrayed. Their mistakes, flaws, weaknesses, powers, obsessions, dynamics are reflected honestly.

The story revolves around Julia- Sienna: bride and sister-in law.
Julia: 38, copywriter, married with Jason at young age, raising their teenage son Aiden at Jason’s childhood house. Interestingly at the young age, with so many trust issues she’s burdened from her mother, she accepts to marry with Jason because she’s clicked with her sister Sienna as soon as they’ve met. They are polar opposites, become partners in work. They were there for each other during the toughest times: including Julia’s giving birth to his son and Sienna’s break up from his fiancée Wyatt who cheated on her!

Julia holds her emotions back as Sienna regulates them for her, becoming her voice and her defender to the outside world. She’s more patient, restrained, logical, calm person as Sienna is impulsive, tempered, reactive.

And Jason is a good man with savior complex that causes putting the other people first. After losing his parents at a tragic hit&run, his savior complex, protecting the others starting from his sister Sienna escalates, turning into an obsession.

Both Julia and Sienna keep secrets from each other. Julia didn’t talk about her marriage problems with Jason who withdrew 10 thousand dollars from their joint account to go to their belated honeymoon in Europe they never had before. Sienna also keeps secret she still sees her ex Wyatt again.

But three things happen that change their lives: Jason’s boss Gavin gets brutally murdered. Jason gets into car accident that placed him into medically induced coma. He becomes prime suspect of his boss’ murder investigation.

Julia and Sienna team up to prove Jason's innocence, but their investigation raises questions about their relationship patterns and the true nature of their bond.

Overall: The characterization is excellent, although the mystery aspect is somewhat predictable. The ending is satisfying and makes readers look forward to reading more from Megan Collins. Her writing style is skillful and engaging.

Unfortunately I did not enjoy this book. I felt the narrative dragged on and on with no real twists or intrigue. The twists were not great, and I could not wait to finish it.
