Thanks, Netgalley and Publisher for the opportunity to read and review.
Amazing tale full of past-paced action, detailed world-building and intriguing plot. The main character and his background story is someone every reader will get attached to. Loved the book and the cliffy at the end makes me want to know what happens next!

I really struggled with this.

I just could not seem to engage with the characters, not caring whether they succeeded in their travel's or not.

Much like it felt that the characters did not really interact with each other.

Although there was plenty of action, it did seem to be over too quickly and then once again you were into the plodding along with their travels.

This was not for me.

A truly powerful story of a boy named Tumbmar, who was cursed even before he was born. It is a tale as old as time, between good and evil.
Tumbmar sets on a 12-year journey to find his purpose in life. He meets new companions and forms unexpected friendships.

This is the first of The Last Sage series and ends on a cliffhanger.

What I loved:
- amazingly detailed world building
- multiple POVs
- action packed plot
- fast paced

What was lacking:
- character depth (just needed a little more backstoris on some of the side characters)

Overall a great book and I will be picking up the next one as well!

I have to admit I was drawn by the cover more than anything and sadly the story didn’t meet that same art, I found it lacking, not that the attempts weren’t there, I could see they were really trying, but it just didn’t do it for me, sorry

The Silent Maiden by Ujwal Vujjini

I love the descriptive work within this book
Tumbar has been forced to leave home to avoid a Curse. The plot is action-packed and exciting, and the storylines are well-constructed and relatable.

In my opinion, the premise could have been improved. Although it is exciting and action-packed, I wish it had been further formed and fleshed out. Furthermore, the story's timing seemed a little off at times, with some passages taking so long and others moving too quickly.

The start of a new fantasy adventure series. Very descriptive and the world building was good. Good characters but under developed. For me this book is meant to be read by young teenagers. Will I read more I am still on the fence.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in return for giving an honest review.

I can tell a lot of love went into this book, that said, I did not find myself enjoying the story. Part of it is complete taste. The writing style just didn’t grab me, and I found it difficult to concentrate, let alone immerse myself, in the characters and world. That said, while there were some interesting twists in classical medieval fantasy, most of it read very basic, from the quick to anger, teacher wizard; the young hero; and his companions. Not helped was the battle dialogues that felt like game monologues and were a little over the top and hard to believe they could happen on a battlefield field on a serious story. I appreciate the effort and love that obviously went into this book, but it wasn’t for me.
