Lila is introducing her fiancé, David, to her mother for the first time and he sets up an engagement party at the Windemere which is the new inn that is threatening her family's local restaurant, La Dolce Vita. To make it worse, David's parents purchased the new inn. Lila's mom is happy to have her home, but was not expecting to have to be around Lila's dad. Will this be an epic fail or will Lila and her mom, Eva, bond more than ever.

I thought this was kinda scattered for most of the story. I think I was expecting more from the story but it just fell short for me. I think it could be a great beach read but I just couldn't get into it as much as others seemed to.

Summer on Sunshine Bay by Debbie Mason is a wonderfully written story about love and family. Family is very important in this story by Debbie Mason.

This book is a little all over the place for me. I thought it was going to be a singular romance but instead it reads as women’s fiction. The primary focus is on Lila Rosetti Sinclair as she returns home to Sunshine Bay on Cape Cod. Her fiancee starts off not looking good as he has manipulated her homecoming and changed all their wedding and living plans. That wasn’t a great start for me and it isn’t meant to be. One surrounded by her mother, aunt, nonna and beloved cousins the story really focuses on family and relationships. David is tasked by his over bearing father to run the new Inn Windemere but it’s restaurant is in direction competition to Lila’s three generation restaurant. There is also a second chance romance between Lila’s mom Eva and her father who never married.

This can be considered a light beach read as there are antics with family and reconnections. But I really dislike the lack of communication with LIla and David. She has time to renew friendships, start a business, but not sit down with him to figure out if the two (he's too busy) really even want to be married. And I really didn’t love the cheating overtones.

The story is kept to kissing only with one fade to black scene. I wish I found the story as light and fun and the cute cover. But to each their own and I can see others enjoyed it more than I did. Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for the ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review.

A delightful multi-generational romance. A sweet story with lots of love of family. As with all families there are issues. Theirs are rather unusual due to their superstitions. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.

When Lila's new fiance, David, surprises her by taking her home to Sunshine Bay, it's not a pleasant surprise. After all, she will have to tell her family she is pregnant and engaged and the Rosetti family doesn't believe in marriage due to a "curse" on their marriages. To make things worse, David's family owns a business that is competition for Lila's family.
Friendships, family love and strength, strong women, romance, second chances, some twists and surprises all make this an enjoyable story.

This is a great start to a new series, and readers will be delighted to have this one in their beach bags.

Debbie Mason does a wonderful job at injecting the novel with a lot of drama. The surprises keep the reader turning the pages, especially because some are good and some are not so good.

There are a lot of characters to keep up with, and yes, the curse is a bit far-fetched. Even so, this is a thoroughly charming escapist story that will ultimately make you smile.

Oh my gosh I so loved this book! My favorite thing is how these six strong women are there for each other no matter what! Lila Rosetti is engaged and about to marry David. Lila’s mother Eva and her dad James were never married because of the Rosetti curse. Eva and her mother Carmen and sister Gia run an Italian restaurant and they are about to be run out of business when a fancy restaurant opens down the street from them. Lo and behold Lila’s fiancé and his family own the new restaurant. Sage and Willow are Gia’s daughters, they had all been raised together and took care of each other.

But to put a wrench in the wedding plans Lila runs into an old flame, James comes back for the wedding and Eva is happy but scared, David the groom gets cozy with Sam the waitress, Carmen is upset cause her love is engaged to someone else and the cousins don’t want Lila to marry David.

Also, these six women helped David’s mom Jennifer to see the light in her marriage. Great book and I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to see it is okay to take a chance!

I enjoyed this book. Lots of fun with the ladies of the family. Sometimes things just aren’t what you think. I was provided a copy by Netgalley but the opinions are mine.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the ARC.

The premise and the writing are subpar. Its drudgery to get through. The dialogue, descriptions and plot feel outdated. Perhaps written for the 60+ audience. Sadly, not for me!

I'd like to thank NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review Summer on Sunshine Bay. My thoughts on this book are my own.
Oh, my, those Rosetti women! They think they are cursed in love and marriage. The “Rosetti Curse” has ruled the actions of several generations of strong women who somehow think they are flawed and cannot find lasting love. This story revolves around the “what ifs” – what if something happens after I find the love of my life or what if I lose the love of my life? Rather than living life and accepting that there will sometimes be pain involved, these women have frozen their hearts to the love that is out there waiting for each of them. It takes strong women to overcome strong fears, and this book showed each of the characters begin to take a look inside themselves and finally realize that living life is more important than worrying about life. Great conflicts! Great resolutions! Great book!

Lila and David are getting married! Or are they? Turns out there's a curse on the Rosetti women that has caused all of them to pass up formal bonds of marriage. And then there's the fact that David's father just bought a business that may well put her family's restaurant out of business. Wedding drama for sure (the curse is a bit contrived). Focus on the family- the Rosetti women are great. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A good read for a rainy (or beach) day.

I love this new book from Debbie Mason and sure hope that this is the start of a new series. It takes place in the fictional town of Sunshine Bay on Cape Cod. Lila grew up there with her mother, Eva, her aunt, grandmother, and two cousins at the family’s Italian restaurant. For the last few years, she has been in England working for her father, James, and building a relationship with her fiancé David. With a baby on the way, they are moving back to the States to be closer to their families. There are lots of fun antics along with strong family bonds in this story. It was hard to put it down to go to work.

I received a free copy of this book to review through NetGalley and thoroughly enjoyed it.

This is a fun, quick paced romance about love, family, and making choices. Absolutely loved it!
Lila and David return to her hometown to help his family open a restaurant, which is indirectly putting her family's restaurant out of business. Once there, things get chaotic. Lila's dad and mom, who have been apart her whole life, seem to be drawn to each other, an old crush of Lila's is back and looking better than ever, and Lila's family is convinced that they are cursed and should not ever marry. Lots of laugh out loud moments with completely enjoyable characters.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I just love the Rosetti family. What a great bunch of ladies. They definitely tickled me at times. I enjoyed the story line. We all know love can be complicated at times. The cast of characters are great. I enjoyed watching Jennifer grow into her own person. Great story with wonderful characters. I received this book from NetGalley, but my opinion is my own.

Lila returns to Sunshine Bay as engaged woman. She is afraid/nervous to tell her family because of the Rossetti curse. I felt the curse was silly and a bit unrealistic. There are a few characters to keep track of but with it being the first in the series, I understand you have to introduce everyone. All in all it is a quick fun beach read. Thank you to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for the E-ARC. Thais is my own opinion.

Lila is engaged to David and she is returning to her hometown. She hasn't told her mother and other family members about the engagement. Her family the Rosetti's don't get married! The family seems to have a curse on getting married. Davids's father has opened a restaurant that is direct competition with her family's restaurant.
It seems David's mother has a wedding already planned and invites sent out when Lila and David meet them for dinner at the new restaurant. Lila feels like she has to marry David; but she doesn't really feel in love with him.
Eva is Lila's mother and is so happy she has returned to her hometown; but Lila's father is also in town. Are the sparks going to fly for Eva also?
I just loved this book; Debbie's books never fail to interest me.

A must for your summer reading list. I loved the Rossetti family of strong smart women. Lila Rossetti Sinclair has come home to Sunshine Bay with her fiancé and has a big secret she is trying to keep from her mother, grandmother, aunt and her two cousins who are like her sisters as they were raised together above the family restaurant. She has been living for the last few years in London, working for her father and she has come home to get married in a quiet ceremony, only she finds out that it’s been taken out of her hands. Between her soon-to-be-in-laws and her mother and her family, it’s turning into a three-ring circus. And add into the mix is Luke, a friend, who has rescued her more than once from all the drama, and they are having more than friendly feelings for each other... Will there be a wedding???

I loved all the Rossetti woman and how they have such strong opinions on how to live life. They run their business how they want, they love how they want and come together when one of them is in trouble or needs a shoulder to lean on. Eva wants what’s best for her daughter. Even if it’s not what she wants for her, she just wants her to be happy. Lila is trying to please her mom, her dad, Fiancé and the in-laws, but the person she wants to please most is herself. This book was a page turner that you did not want to put down, as you wanted to see what the Rossetti women were going to get up to next. It is going to make you laugh, smile and get those tingly feelings at all the romance going on in Sunshine Bay. I can’t wait to see what happened in Sunshine Bay.

Thank you to Netgalley, Debbie Mason and publisher Forever for the chance to read and review this ARC for my honest opinion.

Debbie Mason is back with the perfect summer read set. The close knit family of Rosetti women have grown up in the restaurant business. Running La Dolce Vita, an Italian restaurant on the beach in Sunshine Bay, has been a family tradition for generations. Lila Rosetti Sinclair comes home engaged to a fiancée her family has never met. When both their family businesses threaten each other and exes resurface, drama ensues.

Strong independent female characters create a humorous and romantic plot. I especially enjoyed the family dynamics between the sisters and the mother/daughter relationships. Summer in Sunshine Bay is a fun, fast and romantic read that’s perfect for the beach. Thanks to NetGalley and Forever for the opportunity to review this title before its release.
