Eagle Crossing is a very well written romantic suspense. Edge of your seat page turner. I definitely recommend this book. I received an advance ebook from the publisher and Netgalley. This is my unbiased review .

Good book! This book had a bit of everything! It had suspense, intrigue, action, murder, mystery, A great who done it and so many crazy twists and turns! i loved the animal rescue theme to the book! The storyline was very interesting and had me glued to my Kindle! I will definitely recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

Kaska gives us the third in her Kate Caraway Animal Rights Series. Jack and Kate are heading west from Chicago to visit her old friend, Emily Ann Thurstan. She owns a large home with an animal sanctuary on her property on Lopez Island. Eagle Crossing was known to animal rights activists for saving wild animals, birds, and reptiles. Sometimes they were rescued, healed, then let go into the wild. Upon their arrival outside the San Juan Islands they waited in line for the ferry to take them to Emily Ann’s homeland.
Caraway’s character is one who works and cares for wild animals in Africa as well as in the Chicago area. She was thrilled to visit her friend and help work with the sanctuary residents at Eagles Crossing. Jack and Kate knew that others would be staying at the preserve. Emily Ann’s son, Evan and daughter Laura would be visiting with their families as well. When all arrived it was more than awkward. The young adults were less than happy with their mother’s wishes to enlarge the compound and expand with more animals. They felt it was dangerous and wanted no part of it.
Eagle Crossing was published on October 5, 2022 by Wild Rose Press. I appreciate their allowing me to read Kaska’s latest in her series via NetGalley. Not reading the first two books in the series, one might think it would be a struggle to follow her plot. Not so, Kathleen Kaska gives us an excellent suspense novel that can be read as a stand-alone. Although having read her work I intend to read Run Dog Run and A Two Horse Town the first two in her Animal Rights Mystery series. Eagle Crossing is a page turner with interesting plot twists that keep the reader uncertain of what might happen next. Enjoy this one.
