Unfortunately, to me this came across as a very messy, jumbled and fussy insect biology book – and as it's supposed to be one we colour in ourselves, with zero in the way of guide, when it gets 'finished' it will like as not be all wrong. And to me there seems far too great a leap between someone still colouring in their text books and that child learning the vocab here like ootheca. I am sure to the right student, perusing their handiwork on all these pages, a lot of this will be absorbed without their knowledge, but I still found the pages muddled and clumsily designed.
My First Book About Bugs by Patricia J. Wynne; Donald M. Silver- 5/5
Children's Fiction - Science
My First Book About Bugs is a great book. With forty-six illustrated pages and easy to read captions this book is amazing for anyone looking to learn more about bugs or just enjoy a bug book. It was a great way for us to explore the outside while having a chance to understand what we were seeing. Great story, a must book for anyone with littles.
Thank you NetGalley and Dover Publications for the eARC.
Thanks to NetGalley, I got my hands on a book, or rather a colouring book. I found a lot of different information about bugs in it. The book teaches and entertains at the same time. It is perfect for older children. I recommend for children 8+.
You will learn from others, among other things, what bugs are. You will learn the names of insects and other creatures. Do you know what bugs were the first on our planet? Why were these creatures named bugs? You will know their development cycles.
Amazing little book. I am very pleased with it. I learned a lot of curiosities.
You must read it. You can colour the pictures. You will have a great time with this book. As long as you're not afraid of bugs.
In this book you will learn more about, among others: bees, ants and butterflies.
46 pages of small and large wonders of nature.
Can you love bugs?
