I definitely think I should've read the first book first. But I didn't pay attention when I started, so that's on me. Some interconnected series can be skipped around but some, you miss out on some things. This is definitely the latter, for me at least. But it was still good and I look forward to going back and reading the first and then keep going with the series.

One of my favorite authors. I love her writing style and characters! Just wish I could see more of her work in the future.

Love everything Jacquelyn Frank writes so it was no surprise when I absolutely loved this one.
