Thank you to NetGalley and Everything for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Lots of great recipes to cook in one pot. Organized by the pot you will be cooking that is a great idea. Would have liked to of had a few more pictures. However, I do love all the varieties of cuisines represented including Greek, Italian, and French.
A great addition to any cooks recipe collection and will definitely be putting many of the recipes to the test.
This was a super accessible cookbook, where almost every recipe I feel confident I could pull off. Most are simple (as promised) and not overly technical. Tons of amazing recipe ideas here, and vary in style from sheetpan meals to instapot/crockpot meals. There did feel a bit of repetition in style throughout, which just seems likely when creating 200 easy recipes all in the Mediterranean style, and it's definitely not a visually rich cookbook, so if you're looking for lots of pictures, this might not be the one for you. Can't wait to try some of these recipes out!
This is a great Mediterranean Cookbook with a ton of recipes included. There are not a lot of pictures but the recipes are appealing and the directions for most of the recipes are fairly simple. Anyone could make these delicious recipes.
If you are like me and recently became interested in the Mediterranean diet, this book has a vast collection of recipes with a surprising variety of one pot cooking methods. From sheet pans, to slow cookers and pressure cookers, etc there is something for everyone and their preferred cooking method.
I think more photographs would have elevated this to a five star. They would be especially helpful for inexperienced cooks and those newer to Mediterranean diet in general. as I find the recipes tend to be so colorful and eye catching.
Overall, I think this is a great addition to any cooks recipe collection and will definitely be putting many of the recipes to the test.
Wow! I LOVE this cookbook. I would have liked more pictures, but I do understand that the book would be way bigger because there are so many recipes. I read a few of them and although I’m very new to cooking, I felt as though the directions were really easy to follow and made sense. Can’t wait to try some of these!
The Everything One Pot Mediterranean Cookbook is a great cookbook for those who are looking to try new and different Mediterranean-style recipes. With 200 recipes inside.
This book includes recipes for main meals, side dishes and desserts for every type of diet including vegetarian, and vegan. I particularly enjoyed the recipes that are vegetarian as I am myself, as I like to eat Mediterranean food but have found that it can sometimes be hard to make meals that are both delicious and healthy without using meat. However, this book makes it very easy to do so and includes recipes for a wide range of dishes that are both healthy and delicious at the same time.
All the recipes are done using only one sheet pan, pot, Dutch oven, or skillet, slow cooker, etc which is very convenient for those with small kitchens like mine. It is also very easy to substitute ingredients where necessary so you don't need to go out and buy a whole new set of ingredients in order to try a new recipe. I swap out meat for an alternative yet keep the recipes I make the same this is an easy way to make anything vegetarian.
4/5 from me
***A big thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my advanced audiobook copy in exchange for an honest review.***
I love the “Everything one pot” series and I love Mediterranean food! So many delicious recipes in this book! The recipes are divided by skillet dishes, sheet pan and roasting pan dishes, Dutch over and stockpot dishes, slow cooker, pressure cooker and instant pot, baking and casserole dish, and simple desserts. I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review
I'd give the book 3.5 stars. There are a lot of recipes. Granted, I am not super familiar with Mediterranean dishes. Most of the ones in this book had ingredients that would not be available to me, since I live in a small town with only 2 grocery stores.
Many of the names of the recipes left me confused. Without pictures, I would have a hard time making them.
For someone else, this may be the perfect cookbook. It just isn't for me, although I was very excited to expand my dinners to include this tioe of food easily made in 1 pot. Sadly, I don't see that happening here.
It will take me some more time to actually make some of these recipes, but I saved quite a few! My partner and I were both recently warned about our high cholesterol and are often looking at Mediterranean diet recipes. This book is great! I love that it has recipes for different methods, from oven to Instant Pot, and includes a little bit of context for each dish/ingredient and how it fits in with the Mediterranean theme. Some of the meals are hard to visualize but the pictures are lovely and don’t look so fancy that I can’t ever imagine making them myself. Can’t wait to try some of these!
As anyone who is responsible for cooking and cleanup knows, one pot dishes are always appealing. Especially when you have a chronic illness. The fact that this book was full of Mediterranean recipes made it even more of a lure, since there’s usually an emphasis on fresh ingredients and whole foods.
I was right in expecting that—Minaki has compiled 200 recipes incorporating fresh vegetables and whole foods. Some of the recipes are plant based, and there’s a lot of seafood included, as well as some recipes with chicken, pork, lamb, and beef. Some of the recipes include pictures, and they were incredibly visually appealing. I would have loved to see photos of more of the recipes, since many of them were unfamiliar to me (as an uncouth American lol), and I do like to have an expectation of what the food should look like when I prepare it. Plus, Mediterranean food is just so beautiful to look at!
The recipes are sorted by the method by which they are prepared (skillet, sheet pan, dutch oven, slow cooker, pressure cooker/instant pot, baking/casserole dishes, and desserts). I liked that everything was sorted that way, making it easy to find a recipe I would want to prepare in a certain way on any specific night. However, some of these recipes are a bit beyond what a beginner might be comfortable with. A lot of them seem intimidating because of long lists of ingredients, although many of these are spices, but every so often, they include items that aren’t on-hand in a typical pantry or found in a regular supermarket, so a visit to a specialty store might be required.
I did find myself bookmarking more recipes than I didn’t, and the only reason I didn’t save more recipes was because I keep kosher in my house, so mixing meat and dairy or eating shellfish or pork isn’t something we do, although many of the recipes did sound fantastic. I’ll absolutely be making many of the plant-based, chicken, and fish recipes out of this book in the near future, and hopefully some of the desserts as soon as I have an occasion to do so.
Overall, this is a great recipe book, as long as you know your way around a kitchen and are comfortable with some intermediate cooking techniques. The recipes sound fantastic, and while many are higher in sodium, there are many that I’d be willing to try, or even make a few tweaks to. The Mediterranean diet has plenty of appeal, and so does the fact of incorporating more whole foods into a diet on a consistent basis.
This is a rather large compilation of recipes with very few photos. The recipes themselves are not super enticing based on ingredients, but I think that is mostly due to the nature of the Mediterranean foods (they are mostly simple dishes, elevated by the fresh ingredients available there). Great photos would help make the recipes more appealing. The convenience of using only one pot is a nice feature that some will appreciate, but I think this may be a wash for more experienced cooks or those looking to expand their skills.
I found this book to be really great. I liked the variety of meals that there were recipes for and I liked how the chapters were broken down by the method for cooking the meals. I thought some of the Greek recipes were great too. As a Greek person it was nice to get actual recipes for some of my favorite meals that I otherwise don't know how to make. The author also provided the nutritional information for each recipes which was super helpful. The one thing that I wish this book had included were more pictures for the recipes. Not many recipes included pictures to go along with them which made it difficult to visualize some of the recipes I wasn't as familiar with. Overall, I liked this book and I will make sure to check it out when it's released.
I received a copy of this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I like to see pictures of recipes in cook books and this book doesn't have many which surprised me. I would also call some of these recipes Mediterranean-inspired more than Mediterranean food.
That being said there's some nice recipes in this book. There's a lot of meat including seafood and shellfish in the majority of this book so if that's not your thing a different Mediterranean food book may be better. The recipes are listed in straightforward ways, but seem to assume that the reader has some level of cooking knowledge so it may not be great for brand new cooks. There's helpful tips and interesting recipes so overall a nice find.
There are a HEAP of recipes in this book that bring out the best of Mediterranean flavours. Very simple instructions, which I love. I wish most recipes had a photo as I eat with my eyes but I totally understand why they didn't, the book would have been enormous!
There is a very large variety of dishes and cooking methods in this cookbook. Because of the Mediterranean's location, there is also a variety of cuisines represented including Greek, Italian, and French. There are stovetop recipes and those using the Instant Pot and Crock Pot. While extensive in terms of recipes, there are very few photographs. More photographs would be good for a regional cuisine cookbook because American readers may not be familiar with the names of dishes or what they look like.
"The Everything One Pot Mediterranean Cookbook" is a fantastic cookbook that combines the fabulous flavours of the Mediterranean with the convenience of one pot cooking. The book is organized by cooking method / vessel and would make an excellent addition to anyone's cookbook and recipe repertoire.
My only critique is that I prefer a cookbook with more photographs. The pictures contained in the book were beautiful, showcasing the glorious colours of mediterranean cuisine but there were not enough photographs for my tastes.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I absolutely love Mediterranean food, and love the convenience of one pot cooking, so when I saw this, I knew I had to read it. There are literally hundreds of delicious recipes crammed into this one book - some simple and delicious (cheesy pasta), and some more original (baked octopus and eggplant). There is sure to be something that suits all of the family in here. There are clear step by step instructions, helpful tips, and nutrition information on each page. My only criticism would be that I love it when a recipe book has an accompanying photograph for each dish, and this book doesn’t. But I understand that that’s not always realistic, especially given just how many recipes are in this book! I just like to know what I’m aiming for.
Would recommend.

Thank you so much to Net Galley, the publisher, and author for providing this book for my honest review. This is a beautifully detailed and easy to follow Mediterranean one dish cook book. The book provides a list of Mediterranean ingredients to stock your kitchen, measurement conversions, nutritional facts for each recipe, and easy to follow recipes. There are vegetarian and meat options and even a dessert section, which I can not wait to try. The recipes are divided according to the type of one dish you will need to make the meal. These include: Dutch ovens, skillets, sheet pans, roasting pans, and slow cookers. There is something for everyone to enjoy in this delicious cookbook. I especially can not wait to try the olive oil cake! Thank you again to Net Galley, the publisher, and author for providing this wonderful cookbook for my honest review.
