This book sort of fell flat for me. The storyline was fine and the romance addition was okay as well.

Ciao for Now is the third book by Kate Bromley that I have the pleasure to read. In her books we can always find easy-to-read stories that are also deep and relatable and this time it wasn’t the exception.
I really liked Violetta and Matt, they had great chemistry and I’m a big fan of the enemies-to-lovers trope so I really enjoyed that part. The secondary characters are also very interesting like Marco and Mira, I think it was great that the three contestants remained in good terms through the competition.
It was a deeply enjoyable read and I loved reading about Rome and the fashion industry. I liked how the story developed and ended and I loved the character growth through the book.
Overall, I really liked it and I would absolutely continue reading Kate Bromley’s books.

Ciao for Now is a super cute, funny story of following your dreams, and of course, love.

Violet is a fashion student, and she's in a competition with two of her friends. She gets to spend an entire month in Rome (oh, I'd love to go there!!!). On her very first day there, she goes to a Café for a pick me up and literally crashes into Matt, or Mateo, depending on who you're talking to, and kills his lap top! They talk and take a picture together because she's never going to see him again, right? Wrong! He's the son of the teacher that's in charge of the competition!!! Can they get along for the month that she's in Rome? Can she focus on the competition and win? Read this charming book to find out!

Ciao for Now by Kate Bromley is a delightful romantic comedy set in Italy. Violet Luciano is interning at a Fashion design house in Italy, and on her first day in Italy literally runs into someone at an Italian café. Matteo is the son of the professor that Violet and the other interns are living with. Violet has to see Matteo again, every day.

The characters were so engaging in Ciao for Now. I loved the banter, friendship, and chemistry between Violet and Matteo. They both grew and changed in the story and were delightful to root for. The secondary characters were fantastic and gave the story depth. When I finished this story I wondered if it was too late for me to change my major to fashion design and travel to Italy. I was intrigued by the Italian culture in the story, the amazing food, and the sites of Italy. I have decided I need to start saving for travel to Italy.

I laughed out loud, was drawn into the amazing setting, and loved the characters in Ciao for Now by Kate Bromley. It was fun to engage with such a great story and I highly recommend it!

I was given a copy by the publisher and not required to write a positive review.

Ciao For Now is a excellent summer read - a funny grumpy-sunshine and enemies-to-lovers romance set in beautiful Italy. The banter is definitely top-notch. Violetta and Matteo have great chemistry. But Violetta's dismissal of Matteo as someone she could see a future with was frustrating at times. She did come across as less mature and too whiny at times. But since she made changes in her life for a man before and she ended up regretting it and putting off her dream of becoming a fashion designer - it is understandable that she viewed the competition as her only opportunity left. And I wanted to see more with Marco - he was such a fun friend character. Overall, this was an adorable romantic comedy-definitely recommend. Thank you to Harlequin Trade Publishing, Graydon House, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this novel.

This was the third book I've read by Kate Bromley. They are always a wonderful mix of a compelling love story with complex characters. It's particularly admirable how each of her main characters are passionate and career-driven, which is seen in Ciao For Now.

I loved the backdrop of Rome, but wish the city was featured a little more.

Overall, it was a fun read that portrayed the enemies to lovers trope very well. I'm excited to read more of Kate Bromley's books!

4.5 rounded to 5! This book surprised me in all the right ways. I truly didn’t expect the wit, banter, and love story to grab me the way it did. I loved every single second of this ADORABLE book. The sibling dynamic, the quirky loveable main characters, & Rome is one of my favorite places and this gave me all of the feels with this setting. So grateful to have been able to read this. Thank you!!!

This grumpy sunshine is a perfect vacation read and if you love anything fashion this is definitely for you.

Matteo and Violetta were sarcastically funny throughout the book. Their chemistry and banter was well written, you could feel it off pages. Violet knows how to give it back to Matt and roast him. I was cheering for her but later on I was rooting more for Matt. He is thoughtful and considerate.

"𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭. 𝐀𝐬 𝐢𝐧, 𝐥𝐞𝐭-𝐦𝐞-𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐥𝐲-𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐩-𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧-𝐚-𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠-𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝-𝐟𝐚𝐧-𝐭𝐨-𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡-𝐚-𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐳𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭."

Violet's insecurities caused too much pain and I didn't like one bit however she got me to understand her. I liked how the author portrayed this though I was hurting for Matt. They had me rooting for them but more for Matt.

Marco is the best supporting character and friend you could have. I loved all of him. He was an entertainment.

"𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐠𝐨 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞. 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞-𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲, 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬."

There were some scenes I loved more than the rest (the one at the dinner). If you have read this you will know and if not, go ahead and get this. Trust me you will enjoy it.

This was an emotional ride and shows how our thoughts can be self destructive. We need to listen to people who support us, cheer is rather than the little sinner voice that causes self harm.

This refreshing book with lot many tropes mixed together is something I would recommend. Plus it had me want to visit Rome.

WOW! Any book with an Italian setting is one that I want to read! This one does not disappoint! It is jam packed with laughter & banter right from the start! Kate did such a wonderful job with the writing in this book, I felt as though I was right there in Italy.

I absolutely love Violet! She is full of sass & doesn’t let her age get in the way of her dream of becoming a fashion designer. Matt was such a loveable grump! You could feel the chemistry between them!

This book had me laughing to the point of tears! I loved when Violet was getting back at Matt for stuff he said on the phone. This group of characters were a delight!

What a fast, fun read! I look forward to reading more of her work!

Such a sweet story. Mat and Violet are such a sweet romance. Violet is interning in Rome for design, and one of the professors housing them, has a surly son who thinks very little of her, and people in general. They have a disastrous first meeting and from there, their chemistry skyrockets. While Violet tries to focus on her internship and not let a man interfere with her plans AGAIN, she just can’t leave Mat alone.

I would have loved to see more of their making up. Obvs there is a 3rd act break up, but it seems to wrap up to quick and nicely. Otherwise so fun!

This book has Emily in Paris energy but set in Italy. Loved the setting of Italy and how it was used throughout the book. Sunshine-grumpy trope with lots of banter.

This was a funny and adorable rom com! You know those books that transport you back to somewhere? That happened for me with this one as I was in Italy last summer. The moments in Capri made me yearn to go back. Similar to Violet, although not accidentally, my husband and our bestie decided to bellyflop off a boat while touring Capri and it left my hubby with some bruises on his chest.

This was the perfect first summer break read!

Violet is trying to finish design school to pursue a career in fashion so she can finally do what she wants in life. Internship in Rome, Italy for a month is a start to her career but does someone get in the way?

After meeting Matteo, Violet’s professor son do they really get to know each other as they all live under the same roof for a month.

This contemporary romance had everything a fun summer read would need! Working and exploring in Rome, Italy, I’m yes 😍🤌
This book had wit, romance, spice, Italian men, lgbtq+, enemies to lovers, etc.

This book was definitely readable in one day 🫣

Please read and fulfill your fantasy of being in Italy! ❤️

Thank you @netgalley and @htpbooks for Arc in exchange for an honest review!

I was laughing out loud during this book but also swooning over the cuteness! If only I could go to Rome now. It was a quick read and a very enjoyable enemies to lovers.

What a delightful rom com! I adored this book so much. Violet is one of my new favorite female main characters! If you are looking for a fun romance with witty banter, swoon worthy moments, and enemies to lovers this is for you!

I kept waiting for Violeta to get her head in Straight. She just seems to be a rather whiny MC for a good portion of the book.
I thought she acted immaturely at the end of the Italian venture and Matt didn’t deserve it.
I cheered when Daniella told her a few hard truths because she needed to hear all of it.
The end of the book was good but I’m not convinced of the longevity of any relationship.

Fashion design student Violet is on an internship in Rome. She falls for her professor's son, screenwriter Matt. But Violet lives in New York, and Matt is moving to LA. Is there any hope for a future between them?

I love the relatable characters and the romantic Italian setting in this novel. The banter in this enemies-to-lovers story is irresistible and laugh-out-loud funny. The chemistry between Violet and Matt is strong from the beginning, but the romance is a delicious slow burn. This is an emotional, heartwarming novel to savor.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

"A chance at forever...." Pour yourself a glass of Prosecco and enjoy this lighted hearted romcom set in beautiful Rome. This book gave me Project Runway competition vibes (a show I loved) - Violet, Marco and Holly are on a trip preparing for a fashion competition. This was a book I didn't want to put down. I loved the supporting case of friends, the witty banter, and Violet's journey to finding herself, to being courageous and to fulfilling her dreams. Read if you like: books set in Rome/Capri, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, second chance at love, lots of Prosecco and fashion design. Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin Trade for this eARC in exchange for an honest opinion. Do I recommend this book? Of course!!

Another fantastic book by Kate Bromley!! I loved this one so much and it might be my new favorite by this author. There’s so much to love about this book… fashion, Rome, Prosecco, food, friendships, great banter and chemistry between the MCs, and so many moments that will have you smiling and laughing. Kate writes the best sarcastic humor in her books and it’s one of my favorite things about them. If you’re looking for a fun summer read that will have you feeling like you’re on an amazing vacation then I definitely recommend this one!!
