I really struggled to get through this book.. I found the chapters that looked back almost repeated themselves from Tessa to Lindy and could have been skipped. I did enjoy reading the present story and following Sam in the journey to finding his daughter again, and the twist at the end definitely keeps me intrigued for a sequel but I would only want to know if she tells.. And would probably close the book after that 🫣 I was glad to get to the end of the book and felt it could have been made better if there were more chapters from the present day, maybe following Claire as well as Sam.. Or her family too, especially with the brief mention of her child getting in trouble.

I was initially intrigued by this books description. The entire story was very drawn out and the characters just fell flat.

Thank you, NetGalley for this advance copy of The Sleepwalker in exchange for my honest review.

"Sam Fulford is living a perfectly normal life, except for one little thing: a strange sleep condition that causes him to roam in the night and occasionally become violent."

The description of this book had me very intrigued, however I felt the story fell flat.
The twist was very easy to figure out early on, and the characters were not likeable enough to hold my attention.

I did enjoy this book. It was a little, (not much) slow in some spots. But, it was a good read and held my attention, and was satisfied in the end . Loved the final chapters and the end.No spoilers. I am sure it will be well received by most people.

This book was a bit slow starter but when it picked up it definitely got going.

A very good read from start to finish, it kept me reading until the very end and a very good ending to a very good book

Unfortunately I found this book too long and drawn out and it didn't hold my attention after a promising start.

The characters weren't really likeable in my opinion and I did a lot of skim reading just to get to the end.

Thank you to Netgalley and Inkubator Books for this ARC.

The blurb for this book really drew me in! There’s been so many cases of the crazy and quite frankly scary things that sleepwalkers have done in their sleep. This book was a great exploration of parasomnias.

Sam and Tess are new parents that whole overwhelmed are still overjoyed with their new baby. This joy is overshadowed by Sam’s sleepwalking. We’re not just talking wandering to get cookies in the middle of the night. No no…. Sam is a completely different person when he sleepwalks. Irritable, rash, and sometimes violent.

This book is told in duel timelines between Tess BEFORE she is killed and Same present day AFTER she has been murdered. There’s a lot of twists and turns in this book that make it a great domestic thriller.

I did find it to be a bit drawn out, and a bit predictable once you hit the halfway mark so there was no dire need to find out what was going on. It was pretty obvious so you’re just reading the book to the end waiting for what you already know is going to happen to unfold on the pages.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for this ARC!

I was more impressed by this book than I thought I would be a few chapters in. The plot was slower at the beginning, but as the story progressed, it moved faster and faster to a conclusion that I was not expecting at all. The characters were well developed and easy to develop strong feelings either for or against. Overall, this was a great thriller and I would definitely recommend trying it out!

I was so excited to start this one! It's very character based and it did feel like the book was just going on and on without progressing the plot any but it did get there on the end. The twists was actually so cleverly done and absolutely not what I'd been expecting. The writing style is good, very descriptive and detailed so you get such a good sense of who the characters are and the struggles they're facing. I would have preferred a shorter book with half the waffle cut out but for those who love vharacter based thrillers, this will be perfect! And for those who are more into books where the plot is kept moving forward and things always happening, stick with it because once things start to come together then it's absolutely worth it!
