I enjoyed this story with all the characters within. The main characters were Avery Carmichael, Liam Sanders and Tic Toc a man that loves games.
Tic toc is a sociopath who communicate through cryptic note that he been sending to Avery Carmichael. He also send a dead rose with the notes. Avery Carmichael think at first that they are a joke that someone is playing. But the more that she gets it start to scare her. He father finds out and he find her some to look into this for her. That is how is meets
Liam Sanders.
This was a fun story to read. It had action, adventure and suspense throughout. It had a few giggles within. It was fun trying to find out who was sending the notes.
I received a complimentary copy via Netgalley. This is my honest unbiased opinions.
It was an interesting story and had some good sex scenes but as I got further into the book I got uncomfortable with the reference multiple times to her father that made me feel like it was a relationship with him and just not calling a man daddy. Felt really uncomfortable and could not finish the book.
Just the spicy novel I needed to get me out of a slump. Interesting turns and quite the thrill! 4/5 stars
I couldn’t find the chemistry between Liam and Avery. Everything was sexual between them and no real connection was formed that was based off a sexual feeling or thought. I can’t get past that alone. They were constantly having sexual thoughts about each other even when it wasn’t necessary.
Usually, I like spicy books but this one was just disturbing. I like my spicy book to start off with a bit of connection and intimacy that doesn’t have to be sexual.
Also, there were a lot of typographical errors. A lot. But I reported them as I read.
Avery is a criminal attorney and great at her job. She has made an enemy and she calls him Tic Toc. He sends her letters and dead roses. Her dad is the future governor of NY.
Liam Sanders is hired as her bodyguard and when he meets her he wants her and the chemistry between these 2 is HOT!!
The plot is great and keeps you on the edge of your seat and hoping for some of those steamy scenes to keep coming.
Thank you to the author and NetGalley for the book to review.
I enjoyed this book, well written, only off putting thing for me was the description of her father, calling him “sexy” was strange but overall not a bad read!
Thank you to the publisher for giving me the chance to read this book. Unfortunately, this was a DNF for me. I felt like the author was overly descriptive and the way she talked about her father made me uncomfortable (I get thinking your dad is handsome, but calling him “sexy” was a bit off putting). .
This was so good!!! I am going and getting the other 3 right now!! Love love love.
I just reviewed Wicked Games by Nancy Brown. #WickedGames #NetGalley

This was my first time reading a novel by Nancy Brown and this was my first romantic suspense novel.
The plot of the book was very well written and Avery was a very well written character. She was a very strong, driven and successful FMC and I love to see that in a story. I loved that even though she was strong and she hated to feel vulnerable, she had those people close to her that she felt she could bare her heart out to and not have to be strong all the time.
The only thing that threw me off with this book was the way that Avery spoke about her father. Honestly I was starting to think I was reading a novel about incest. Just about every time she thought of or spoke about her father she was calling him handsome or sexy and it was just very inappropriate. I felt this had no place in the novel and while I loved Peter 😂 I felt like Peter was too much of a character in the book.
Overall I would rate this a 3.5 because it had a good plot and the characters were well written but certain things threw me off from the book and I felt this one wasn’t really my cup of tea.
