A generally enjoyable read somewhat marred for me by the treatment of the main characters past trauma in relation to religion. I was shocked to be honest. Really put me off a book that’s premise had so much potential. I don’t feel as though the rest of the book deserves less than 3 stars which is the only reason I’m looking past this and giving 3 stars.

This was my first book by this author and I’m looking forward to future books by her. I enjoy the opposites attract trope and this was a really good one.

Many thanks to Netgalley for this book. I received this book in exchange for my honest review. My thoughts are entirely my own.

In this book we meet Remy Reed who lives in Islehaven, Maine which is on an island that you have to take a boat to access. Remi is at her cottage creating sculptures when she sees a man in the water through her binoculars. Remi goes on her boat and with the help of her cousin ends up saving the man 's live. The man suffers from a head wound and is later diagnosed with amnesia. The man keeps up with the name Judah but is actually named Jeremiah Camden who is actually a retired Formula One racecar driver. Jeremiah suffers a terrible cold and ends up having to go to the mainland where it is revealed that he comes from a famous family and is famous in his own right. He doesn't remember his family or friends. Jeremiah insists Remy stay on the mainland with him until he remembers his life. Jeremiah and Remy start to investigate his wife Alexis's death (that's my name). Alexis is believed to have committed suicide and that was what Jeremiah was investigating when he was attacked. Jeremiah later finds out, with the help of a forensic scientist, finds out that he was poisoned and that he was alone and ended up hitting his head and falling overboard. Jeremiah and Remy have a fight because she doesn't want a relationship because she was raped. Jeremiah ends up going back to the island with Remy to fight for her and stays for a few months and ends up gaining back his memories. Jeremiah goes back to the place where Alexis died and ends up getting a video of that night from a photographer and ends up finding out that his best friend Anton was having an affair with his wife. Jeremiah and his brother Jude confront him and Remy is there and Anton tries to use her as an insurance policy until Jeremiah and Jude take him down saving Remy and avenging Alexis's death. A year later Jeremiah and Remy are still happily together and spending the holidays with her family.

This was a really good book and even though there was some trauma triggers, I think it was really well written and was sensitive to Remy's past trauma.

Memory Lane was such an enjoyable contemporary story with the right amount of mystery.

I enjoy amnesia stories, mainly because it gives the character to break out of the box previous circumstances and people might have placed them in and have a chance to become the person got created them to be.

I loved Remy and “Jonah” and the chemistry they had. I loved how Remy tried to ignore the connection and how “Jonah” approached wooing her.

The author also tackled a sensitive topic in this story in a very respectful manner. This might be a trigger though for readers who might have also dealt with sexual abuse.

The audiobook is very well narrated, and I would highly recommend it to readers who prefer listening to audiobooks.

The mystery around who “Jonah” is and how he ended in the ocean grabbed and held my interest from beginning to the end.

This story is possibly my favourite book by this author.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. This is not at all what I expected and I liked the story far more than I thought I would. Great story, characters, and suspense.

Becky Wade's Memory Lane is the first installment in Ms. Wade's Sons of Scandal series. Memory Lane is equal parts mystery and romance telling the story of Jonah/Jeremiah, a sports star who is found off the coast of Maine is the water and is battling amnesia, and Remy, an introverted woman who has escaped to one of Maine's remote Island who has found Jonah/Jeremiah and is nursing him back to health and helping Jonah/Jeremiah find out who is. In the process, Remy finds out who she is too, as Jonah/Jeremiah and Remy get closer. I absolutely love Memory Lane from beginning to end and fell in love with all of it's characters. I enjoyed traveling to Maine and the escape that Memory Lane gave me. I love the lessons that both Jonah/Jeremiah and Remy learned and that what they went through wasn't sugar coated. There wasn't much Christian content in the book in my opinion, but to me, that doesn't detour from the book. I highly recommend Memory Lane by Becky Wade! Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read this book, My review is also on Goodreads.

Remy is a reclusive artist who uses her isolation to exert extreme control over her life as well as experience the joy of nature. Rescuing "Jonah" from the ocean disrupts her routines, but as she acclimates to his company, she realizes that she may be ready to move forward and cope with her trauma in different ways. Jonah is on a path of self-discovery with his amnesia, finding out who he was, and making choices for who he will be. There is a mystery that haunts him as he learns more about his life before the accident, and Remy is determined to help him find the closure he needs. I loved their dynamic- they are complete opposites- but they appreciate the contrasts between them and recognize the important values they have in common. This author is skilled at making her characters come to life with unique details and mannerisms, and I was drawn into the complex story quickly. The pace was steady as circumstances changed, twisted, and disrupted Remy's careful life and her new relationship propelled her forward to explore healing and love. I'm excited for more stories from the "sons of scandal!"

Ultimately a DNF for me. It was interesting! It just was unexpected. I think based off the cover and title I expected more of a rom com.

Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this mystery romance novel. This is a story about redemption, starting over, and facing fears. I liked that it was more than a romance but also had an interesting mystery to unravel. It definitely kept my attention until the end. I’m definitely interested in reading more books in the Sons of Scandal series.

This story was so interesting! I loved the aspect of "Jonah" having amnesia when he comes to the small island. There is a trigger warning with this story, since it deals with some weighty topics, but I thought that the author did a wonderful job with the difficult subjects. I can't wait to read Jude's story!

Unfortunately, I had to dnf this book as it was something completely different to what I expected. Nothing bad! The book just deals with quite a few heavier topics, which I can’t handle at this moment in time. I dnfed 49% in and one thing I have to say is I really enjoyed the writing style of Becky Wade. I’ll happily revisit this book someday when I’ll be able to handle something more complex than a simple romance. If that happens, I’ll edit my review.

I’m still rating it 3 stars because I think this book had potential to be amazing till the end. It’s just not for me right now.

This was an enjoyable read with a premise that really goes in depth and beyond just a light-hearted romance. I had a lot of fun with this one.

I'm not going to lie I wouldve enjoyed this much more if this wasnt for the christian romance parts. I dont like religion in my books. It was sweet, but not my favorite.

This book was amazing! I loved everything about it, including the aspect of suspense I wasn’t expecting. I didn’t know this was a Christian author so I was so excited about that. You don’t see a lot of good romances by Christian authors as much anymore. Now excuse me while I go read the rest of her books.

Remy, our FMC, lives a quiet and peaceful life on an island off the coast of Maine. She's an artist living alone, and she does not want to be disturbed. But one day, she sees a man floating in the ocean and runs to save him. When he wakes up, he can't remember a thing, not even his name. They end up naming him Jonah. But, spoiler alert, he is gorgeous.
They get closer and closer as they start to research who he is, who's his family, and what the heck happened to him.

This was such an entertaining and delightful story. Remy was such a marvellous female lead and "Jonah" (we do find out about his name later) was such an intriguing character. I wanted to know more and more about him and his past.

I can't wait to read the following books in this series! I'm sure I'll love it.

Thanks to NetGalley for providing an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Remy loves her solidarity life on a remote island off the coast of Maine. She found refuge here after a past trauma, and she has built her life around routine and certainty. But when she sees a man bobbing in the ocean out her window, she throws her day's plans out to go save him. Bringing him back home, she realizes he's not only injured, he is also very handsome and has no memory! She embarks to get him healed and connected back to who he is, but she may have to confront who she is along the way.

This book is so endearing. Remy and the unnamed mystery man (I'll let you discover his identity with him) are opposites even before he starts to gain back his memory, and their banter was so fun.

The amnesia trope is really growing on me. And this one was done so well! The way his memories are unfurled as he recovers serves the plot so we'll and never feels unearned. Extra fun is there is a side romance in this one that really could have been it's own fun book. Maybe Becky, you can give us a novella from their perspective?!

But back to the main story, I love how the book has multiple points of view through out, and from people other than just the two main characters so that there are layers sprinkled into the plot. Bonus: it sets us up for the next books in the series!

Content Warning: This books touches on murder, sexual assault, and infidelity. DM me if you want more information.
