Montana Cold Case was full of suspense and adventure and had me guessing up until the last minute. If you're looking for clean suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat this one's for you!
I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.
Lila and Stewart had quite a past and had almost gotten married before a terrible tragedy occurred. Both losing their parents in such a way pulls them apart.
Years later Lila returns looking for answers but someone doesn’t want her snooping around. Will Lila and Stewart stay alive to figure out who is trying to kill them?
This is a fast paced read with lots of action and trouble. Nice quick read.
Montana Cold Case Conspiracy is a well written romantic suspense. Great plot and character dynamics. I highly recommend this book. My thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for my ARC. This is my unbiased review.
Like most of the love inspired suspense line this one was fairly predicable but I still enjoyed it. These tend to be my go to reads when I want something quick that will give me a happy ending. But will still keep my attention.
I got this as an ARC from netgalley, all in exchange for an honest review of my thoughts. I absolutely adore harlequin love inspired suspense books. They are clean romance with no bad language and I never feel uncomfortable reading through the pages at any given time. While they can be a bit cheesy/cliche, they are always quick reads that have me invested and Sharon Dunn is one of the authors I enjoy that writes in this collection. For this book, in particular, the plot really intrigued me as it seemed quite different from others in this collection and it had me curious. I did manage to figure out who the “bad guy” was a little before the halfway point and I saw what seemed like obvious signs. There were some parts of this book that did not match up with things that happened a few pages before, but overall it was a good read, though the ending was a bit fast for me.

A second chance romance with suspense and action thrown in. Lilia just wants answers to what happened to her father 10 years ago. What she isn't expecting is for someone to try and kill her the moment she comes back to town, or to have feelings for her old fiance, Stewart, to come into play. Enjoyed watching the romance blossom again while trying to stay alive as a killer first tries killing Lilia, then Stewart, then others around them. Who's doing and how are they connected to the decades old case? Woven in is belief and trusting God.
I received an ARC copy from NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions are my own.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a good romantic suspense. Can you ever really move forward in life without facing your past? For Lila and Stewart the drive to find the truth may just save them and renew a love thought long dead, if the can survive the attempts to kill them.
"Montana Cold Case Conspiracy" is a Christian romantic suspense. Ten years ago, Lila's father disappeared after Stewart's no-good father held up his bank then was found murdered without the stolen goods. Stewart moved on by working hard to prove he's not his father. Lila can't believe her father killed anyone or voluntarily helped rob his bank. She left town, disillusioned that so many people believed her father a crook. New evidence has turned up, and she came back hoping Stewart will help her prove her father's innocence. He's not interested, but someone clearly doesn't want her poking around and repeatedly tried to kill her.
The main characters were likable but didn't seem like the brightest bulbs in the pack. After Stewart's convinced that Lila's in danger, he didn't even carry a gun when off duty. He's repeatedly lured away from Lila, who's then attacked. And Lila did things like wander off alone after a frightened dog, not telling anyone what she was doing. When asked once why she did something foolish, she said she wasn't thinking. Uh-huh. It didn't feel like they reacted realistically to the danger they knew they were in, which made them that much easier to target. I liked the relationship tensions between Lila and Stewart caused by their engagement being broken by their fathers' actions. Since they had that romantic past, their quick attraction (after getting back in sync about investigating the past) at least made sense.
There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I'd recommend this suspenseful novel.
Good book! This book had a bit of everything! It had high suspense, intrigue, action, murder, mystery, a crazy serial killer and great police work! The storyline was very interesting and kept me glued to my Kindle! I definitely recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading! I absolutely enjoyed reading this one! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
