What I really enjoyed about this story was the balance of both joy and grief, and I liked the way adventure was written in. I think the characters were so interesting. I liked how, though their relationship got on quickly, it seemed natural because of how much chemistry they had. This was a fun steamy romance with a bit more emotion to it than I was expecting, but I think it really added to it.
Thank you Netgalley for providing a digital ARC.
This was a fun listen, but I have to say that I really didn’t like Carla. She was a know-it-all and, frankly, mean. She definitely improved for me over the course of the story, but I feel like I had to suspend disbelief if I wanted to believe in the love story. I did love the setting in Ireland, and I fell a little in love with Eamon. I wouldn’t not recommend this book, it just wasn’t my favorite.
Another great story in the Beck sister saga! Although I'm partial to book 2, I appreciated Carla's story.
Carla is a professional drifter going to Ireland for her best friend's wedding. She immediately hits it off with the groom's brother who was sent to escort her there. It was a bit unbelievable but stranger things have happened!
Eamon knows Carla could be the one but Carla has a father with dementia back home so after their whirlwind romance, she gets cold feet and plans to go back home. It was only ever supposed to be a fling!
Can Carla learn to follow her heart and not her head on this one? Dad would want her to let him go and be happy but she has to find her own way.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to listen and review! The narration is A+!
I liked it!! The FMC is a commitment phobe who ends up with an insta love kind of thing. She is caught off guard and doesn't know what to do about it. The thing I liked about this book was that even though there was instant chemistry they still took time during the story to deal with their issues. I'm not typically a person who cares that much about personal development in characters when I'm looking for an easy romance but I think Trish nailed it with this one. I will definitely look at more of her stuff. This is a 3.5/5 for spice.
Great addition to the series. It was not my favorite of the trio but makes for a fun discussion. No slow burn in this book like the previous ones it had wide open door spicy details.
4.5 Stars. This is the third book in the Beck Sisters series and follows Anna’s (heroine from book one) best friend Carla as she comes to Ireland for Anna’s wedding. Carla starts her trip by sleeping with Aemon, the brother and best man of Keane (hero of book one) and the two agree to a fling while she’s in town. Aemon is trying to figure out what he wants in life and Carla is running from her home life where her father is battling dementia. The two take the long way traveling to the wedding taking time to go off-roading and spend time surfing while discovering things about themselves.
Personally if my maid of honor and my fiance’s best man decided to take a few extra days to get to my wedding I would be up the wall, and I had to remind myself at multiple times in the book I am not Anna and my friends know I’m too type A to ever try something like that. I really liked both Carla and Aemon. The book was single POV from Carla’s perspective, but I still felt like I got to know Aemon. Unlike the first two books in this series, this book was open door, which may surprise some readers, but I was pleased with this change to the series. Carla’s nomadic lifestyle was fascinating to me and found her relationship with her father to be very interesting and compelling. I think this was my favorite of the three books in the series and I can see myself rereading it.
I really enjoyed the audiobook. Sarah Naughton was a wonderful reader that kept me engaged in the story and interested in the story being told. Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the Audiobook, and NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the ARC in exchange for honest reviews.

Off the Map is the third in the Beck sisters series and it just may be my FAVORITE. I really enjoyed Carla and Eamon's adventure in the journey to Anna and Keane's wedding. ( I loved seeing them in a book again because Float Plan was such a treat!) Plus, the best man/MOH falling for each other trope? LOVED it! I also enjoy the realistic approach to life, relationships and hardships. It makes the story feel like these characters could really be friends of yours with all the relatable content. I am so glad I got the opportunity to read this one. Trish Doller is easily a favorite author of mine! If you haven't read any of these books yet, I highly recommend them.
This was a very cute book. Some parts of the book were a little bit far-fetched and I could not actually picture people doing it, but overall I really enjoyed this story. It only reinvigorated my need to travel and my wanderlust. Carla is a great character as is Eaman. I really loved the character of Biggie. I definitely think that there is a lot more of a story there. I did not even realize when I first initially got the book that it was part of a series, so I will have to check out the other books. But with that being said, it means that this book could be read as a standalone because I did and I feel like I learned about all the characters and I don't feel like there was anything that was missing. Thank you netgalley for the audio book version of this book.
I started this series completely out of order, with Off The Map being my first of the three. And honestly, I’m glad I did. It didn’t have spoilers and it was just what I needed in a book emotionally.
Things I Liked:
📍Eamon and Carla together. They taught each other so many important things, it was beautiful to see unfold.
📍The adventures we were taken on.
📍The laughs we shared throughout each adventure.
📍Being able to see clearly the feelings each character has for the other.
Things That Weren’t My Favorite:
📍The fact that Carla had been running from herself and life’s realities for six years. For how big her ties to Biggie were, I felt like this timeline didn’t make sense for them.
📍 Through the book I always had this feeling of needing something more. Adding Eamon’s point of view probably would have eased this feeling.
📍 The instalove of it all.
Audiobook:
📍 The narrator. Sarah Naughton did a fabulous job with this audiobook. When listening to books, I tend to be able to separate any feelings from the emotional passages in the book. Sarah does a fantastic job with not only conveying these emotions, but making the listener feel them, too.

After reading Float Plan and The Suite Spot, I was so excited to be able to listen to an early copy of Off the Map! Thank you NetGalley and MacMillan Audio for the early audiobook to read and review!
Off the Map was another quick and easy romance to listen to. Carla Black is on her way to the wedding of her best friend, Anna Beck (from Float Plan). Carla has been on the road in her Jeep Wrangler for a decade, avoiding home because her dad has dementia and he doesn't want her to see him failing. She meets the best man, Eamon Sullivan, at a pub and they decide to go on an adventure before the wedding festivities begin. What starts as a simple little trip, turns into much more for both Carla and Eamon.
I enjoyed Off the Map, but I do have a hard time with the insta-love trope and their relationship felt a little far-fetched at times. It was still enjoyable and entertaining to follow along on their adventures, but I did catch myself rolling my eyes a few times. It was also spicier than Float Plan and The Suite Spot which was a little unexpected! I enjoyed the whole book, but the last 25% was my favorite part and it wrapped up really nicely. I can't wait to see what else Trish Doller writes!
This was my first book by Trish Doller so I didn’t realize this was the third book in a series. I don’t think I missed anything with not having read the other two first. With that being said, I did purchase the other two audiobooks because I enjoyed Off The Map so much.
Carla is in Ireland for her best friend’s wedding and meets the groom’s brother when he shows up at a bar to drive her to the wedding destination. The two are immediately attracted to each other and assume it will be a one-night stand. When Carla tells Eamon of her adventures, he shares with her that he dreams of traveling. Along the way to the wedding, they decide to stop at different places so that Eamon can get a taste of travel life. The descriptions of the area and landscape gave me a case of wanderlust. I love that each character provided what the other needed. I think both made very different and important realizations on the trip. I thought the story was so engaging and was beautifully narrated by Sarah Naughton.
This is a cute story...I had the audio version and totally recommend. Quick read
As far as romance books go, this one is not crazy descriptive, which I kind of like because I normally listen to audiobooks at work
I love how these characters bring out the very best in each other. A genuine feel good story.
This book was cute and sweet. I really enjoyed the narrators and thought they did an amazing job!! I think that this was a nice story, and the idea of it was really funny. I just didn't really feel and believe the romance in this one. I wasn't in love with the characters. All in all, this book was indifferent to me. I didnt hate it but i didnt love it.
ARC provided by the publisher and NetGalley.
DNF @ 52% - I had zero investment in these characters from the beginning. The fact that they fell into bed so quickly (and so often) left nothing to the imagination or the heart. There was no relationship building whatsoever. It wasn’t even worth reading what Anna and Keane are up to. This series should have ended with The Suite Spot.
This review should have no negative reflection on the audiobook narrator who was excellent!
This is one of those books that doesn't let you go, you know? There was no point during this book where I thought "yeesh I need a break!" it was just fun and funny and cute the whole way through. It was exactly what I expected it to be, yet surprised me enough to keep me reading to find out more.
I waffled between 4 and 5 stars on this one, not because there was anything wrong with it (there was nothing wrong with this book) but because it didn't blow my mind or anything, but ultimately settled on 5 because it was a great read and did deliver exactly what I wanted from it.
The characters are engaging, I read this as an audiobook and the narrator is excellent and chosen well for both the story and the character. I didn't feel like I was distracted by them at all, yet led gently by the hand through the story and into the characters heads.
All around, lovely book and 10/10 would read again!
Nope, I can't do this one. DNF at 27%
The characters were frustrating and the plot was going nowhere from the start. I don't understand how two people meet like that and kiss the first second. Doller's attempt at making this breezy and natural is a complete flop.
Also, how can Carla be happily travelling the world when her father who she loves is losing his memory? Idk how this book and these characters work, so I'm not wasting my sanity on this.
Here is how Off the Map got 1 stars:
1🌟The narrator is brilliant and gets off her Irish accent with perfection. Sarah Naughton, you are brilliant!
0.5🌟The drama scene with the baby was decent and the most likable thing about the actual book. Sure, I wouldn't care much if this was a better book but I cant bear to give it 1 star.
I received a complimentary ALC of the book from NetGalley and Macmillan Audio in exchange for an honest review.
“I’ll go anywhere in the world, as long as it’s with you.”
I loved Float Plan so I was super excited to read Off the Map. It did not disappoint! I loved getting to see where Anna and Keane were in the world and meeting Eamon and Clara. I did find part of the story far fetched - why weren’t they hurrying to join the wedding festivities and why did no one seem to care they were days late? But overall I just wanted to join in on the travel the two were doing.

Off the Map gave me serious wanderlust since it is set in Ireland and talks a lot about travel and finding your passion. It is the third in the series but I do feel like it could be a standalone as long as you don't mind spoilers from the first book.
While it was a very quick and enjoyable read with the setting, I do feel that there was a bit of a lack of emotion or connection at times especially with the main character and her father. With how much he meant to her, I couldn't understand why she listened to him and stayed away during his health decline.
The narration was well done.
Trigger warning for dementia and loss of a parent. Open door romance.
3.5/5
Thank you to NetGalley and MacMillan Audio for the advance copy of this audiobook. All opinions are my own.
A sizzling sexy fling with the best man just may turn into something more. Carla Black arrives in Dublin, Ireland for her best friend's wedding. The best man is meant to meet her and drive a few hours to his family's home... But it's instant attraction for both of them, and instead, they go off course.
If you like books by Emily Henry, or Doller's other books, this is another winner! Emotions all over the map from tender to heartbreaking to sad. Narration was good, even at 2x speed.
4.5 stars!
I really enjoyed this one because of the characters! The MCs, Carla and Eamon, were so sweet and oddly relatable. I loved their random adventure especially the sangria-drinking bull.
Doller did a great job of covering grief, family and found family.
