Kate quits her job, and her friend enters her into a dance competition. However, the dance teacher Merle was deceitful, and didn't care about hurting feelings. When I first started reading The Dance Deception, I was thinking about Strictly Dancing, but then it started going on more about sex scenes and unfaithful relationships, where the dance teacher Merle sexual advances and romances with his dance partner Kate. I felt sorry for Kate, as it seemed as though he was using her. In the end she found romance, and it backfired for Merle which I was glad about. Kate new partner, Alexkis, was Merle brother in law, and initially they were cold to each other, but then romance began between them. I all backfires for Merle as his new dance partner dumps in on the show when she wins the competition. I didn't enjoy reading this book at the beginning, as the story line seemed far fetched. However, in the end, I liked the part where it all worked out for Kate in the end.
I didn’t absolutely love this book but I also didn’t hate it. I like to give books a chance and I kept pushing myself to keep reading this book. There were points within the book where I was bored and there were some parts in the book where I really liked where it was heading. I really wish that I could give this book more than four stars because it had so much potential but I can’t.
One of the parts of the book that I absolutely hated was was how Merle continue to get away with all of the bad things that he did and that there was no real consequence. This shows that the book was not very realistic and I like to feel that books are somewhat realistic with simple things like this. However, I really liked the characters Kate and Aleksis and really wish that the book was more about these two rather than the focus of the love triangle.
I would like to thank the author and the publishers for allowing me the opportunity to read and review an early copy of this book.
Bit strictly with added steam, a fun read lighthearted humour with sexy male dancers and a girl who finds herself in a tango between two of them.
I loved it so much that I lived vicariously through this book throughout my entire read. It was perfect!! Cute and witty characters, entertaining story and sweet romance. Would going to recommend all the romcom lovers
I Did enjoy this book. I thought it was a quick and enjoyable summer read. I liked Kate, her family and Merle’s wife a lot. I really really hate Merle ! The thing that let the book down for me was the sex scenes. They were steamy but- I feel - overused. Otherwise a good read
Enjoyed this story although I did find it overly erotic at points which wasn't necessary for the story. Aside from that it was light hearted but serious offering a good read.
Kate Wareing u723, will be dancing with a very sexy Merleau is very competitive who's French.
In dance commotion to be shown on TV -'fire on the dance floor' to win a cash price of twenty five thousand pounds.

Aiden goes out with Lucy who are work colleagues as is Warrion. Who treats Kate very nicely, so she goes back to his. But this makes her crave Merlel more.
There is a big change at the dance competition,

So they stage lots of photos for social media.
That's when we encounter 'rigid, unapprochable' Aleksis Lapsa, a professional Latvian dancer. We'll that's what Kate thinks of him at first, but thing progress slowing and they become closer than she has with anyone else to say the lest! 'He's a keeper' Kate says!
The social media battle continues as well as rehearsals and live programme, things are blazing hot and full of energy!
Who will win and win £25,000 and garnered a place in next year's show.
'Its nerve racking at times-and exciting and terrifying and pretty munch in between' states Kate.
This novel feels like a teen young adult one, if the sex screens were left out, i dont think this would detract anything from the novel.
A lost camera brings a further twist
Great rival competitor's add to the growing tension in the story.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for giving me a complementary digital copy of this ebook in exchange for a full, frank and honest review. All opinions expressed are completely my own.
I was really excited to read this book, but unfortunately it fell flat. The main characters were underdeveloped and the storyline seemed rushed and other parts very unfinished. Normally a love triangle adds an element of interest to a love story, but this one felt forced and for me, lacked the element of romance. Overall I thought this story had a lot of potential, but it just missed the mark with the follow through.
Kate leaves her job because her coworker has been sleeping with her boyfriend, a friend enters her into a reality dance competition and her dance partner is Merle who catches everyone’s eye. However, Merle isn’t everything he appears to be and Kate is thrown with another dance partner Alexkis who is not happy about the pairing. Can Kate and Alexkis pull it together?
Thank you #NetGalley for the advance read
I love the synopsis of this book and really wanted to like it. But I struggled to get through it. I would have DNF’d it but did want to see how it ended. I feel like some things weren’t necessary and others felt rushed. I also feel like some things were left unfinished. I never felt a connection to any of the main characters and maybe that is why I struggled so much. Overall, it was just an okay read for me.
Unfortunately this wasn’t as good as I was hoping. The storyline was weak, characters were either a bit wet or just horrible and the sex scenes seemed to be in there for the sake of it. I finished it to see how it ended but must admit I skimmed lots to get to the end. Disappointed
This was a really fun read! I enjoy a book about reality shows and I danced growing up, so I loved that combination. It was spicy and funny and I really enjoyed! I think this will be a popular book that releases this fall!
I'm afraid this book wasn't for me, I did finish it but skimmed a lot towards the end as it just exasperated me. The plot was weak and without substance, steamy yes, but that was about it as the sex just didn't add anything to the story. The characters were very shallow, particularly Kate the main one, and just kept being rather idiotic in their decisions and somewhat inevitable and predictable. The sex scenes just seemed to be an add on, forced and not particularly believable, in fact a bit of a farce overall. Fans of Strictly may enjoy it so an objective 3, but sorry, I didn't.
As a former competition dancer and lover of reality/competition TV shows, I was eager to get started on this one! In the end, it fell short of my expectations. The steamier scenes had no build, jumping right in from the start. Relationships that were featured had little substance other than the sex.
I love a love triangle, but this one was not great. When things go south with Merle, Kate chooses to pivot to a new man, a problematic one at that. I felt the story disconnect, with less of a “will they, won’t they,” simply making sloppy decisions. I couldn’t support either pairing let alone the MC!
Although underdeveloped in characters and plot line, I enjoyed the premise of this book.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This was ok read for me, I liked the premise of book I don't think the author executed the story well, However I was able to finish it.
This is the first time I have read this author and was very impressed. A light fun upbeat story that was entertaining and easy to read. The characters worked well and the story line flowed nicely. Recommend
This book was so good! Lots of drama and steamy scenes. This was so good I stayed up late to finish reading this.

The Dance Deception by Becky Ward is a well written, entertaining story.
I had a blast reading it.
I adored this book. I instantly fell in love with the characters and found them very relatable.
I loved getting to know these characters, it was so much fun to see Kate and Aleksis’ personalities come to life.
The chemistry between the two love interests practically sizzled off the page and there were so many laugh out loud moments as well.
Extremely excited for her next book.
A charming and bubbly love story with all the swoon, steam and feels.

Thank You NetGalley and Avon for your generosity and gifting me a copy of this amazing eARC!
The storyline behind "The Dance Deception" caught my attention and intrigued me. In Becky Ward's book, Kate is the newest competitor on a "Dancing With the Stars"-type show. Sparks fly between her and her partner, Merle, and they quickly become more than just dance partners. However, Kate soon finds out that Merle is hiding a big secret: his wife.
I wanted to enjoy this book, but the characters keep making such bad decisions. Not only does Kate immediately jump into a relationship with Merle, but then she goes directly to another man right after that rather than working on herself. It was hard to root for the characters in this book, and I ended up just skimming after awhile. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
The Dance Deception" by Becky Ward is a fun and entertaining read, perfect for fans of romantic fiction and reality TV shows. The story follows Kate Wareing as she competes in a televised dance competition with a chance to win a life-changing cash prize. After being paired with the charming French dancer Merle, Kate's journey takes a turn when she is forced to switch to a new partner, Aleksis, who seems to hate her.
Despite the challenges, Kate convinces Aleksis to embark on a showmance to win over the public. However, as their fake relationship heats up, Kate's feelings for Aleksis become all too real. Meanwhile, Merle is determined to sabotage her chances in both the competition and love.
Overall, "The Dance Deception" is a feel-good and steamy read with lots of funny moments. The chemistry between Kate and Aleksis is electric, and the dance and reality show concepts add an extra layer of excitement to the story.
