Many thanks to Netgalley for this arc. I received this book in exchange for my honest review. My thoughts are entirely my own.
We are following the points of view of Lizzie and Beth. Lizzie is living in a small town in Alabama and when her car breaks down she is saved by the new doctor in town who sweeps her off her feet. Lizzie gets engaged to her doctor and finds out who violent he is and that she has to do what he says because he knows that she killed someone in Louisiana. Beth and her husband go to New York to his family's cabin during a snow storm and Beth instantly realizes that someone is living in the cabin and is still there. The caretaker of the place is there and begins to play games with them. I didn't really enjoy this book because it just seemed like something I had read/seen before and it's definitely not one that I would recommend or reread in the future.
This was such a twisty story that kept me engaged the entire time! I don’t recommend reading too many reviews and going in blind! Def recommend!
Thank you Netgalley and Inkubator Books
This was a real story of ups and downs and with multiple viewpoints.
It was a little predictable at times and fast-paced and a good read.
Warning: there is domestic violence towards a female character
Otherwise a good read and I would like more by this author.

A great thriller - I would recommend it!
A good thriller, full of tension and very gripping. A tad predictable at times but I enjoyed it a lot. Good characters too.
"You Can't Hide" was a rollercoaster of ups and downs, with its multiple timelines and points of view. The story was a little predictable with bread crumbs leading towards the end, but still a fun, fast-paced read.
Trigger warning: Graphic portrayals of domestic violence towards female character
📚 Just finished "You Can't Hide" by Emily Shiner and it's a gripping psychological thriller that had me hooked from start to finish! 💥 Beth and Ian's desperate desire for a child leads them into a nightmarish trap when they encounter Ryan, the caretaker of a family cabin with a dark secret. 🏡 With suspenseful twists and a protagonist caught in a web of deception, this book kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end. 🕵️♀️ While I found some parts predictable, the well-written narrative and tense moments made it a compelling read. Definitely worth checking out! 🌟 #YouCantHide #EmilyShiner #PsychologicalThriller #BookReview 📖

You Can't Hide by Emily Shiner is a gripping psychological thriller. The story follows Beth, a woman who has a dark secret from her past that she has been hiding from her husband Ian. They are desperate to have a child, and decide to sell his family cabin in upstate New York to pay for IVF. But when they arrive at the cabin, they meet Ryan, the caretaker, who is not who he claims to be. He knows Beth's secret, and he blackmails her into doing his bidding, or else he will expose her to Ian. Beth is trapped in a nightmare, and she has to make a choice between losing everything she loves, or doing something unthinkable.
The author does a great job of creating suspense and tension throughout the book. The chapters alternate between Beth's and Ryan's perspectives, giving the reader insight into their motivations and emotions. The characters are well-developed and realistic, and the plot is fast-paced and unpredictable, and the ending is shocking and satisfying.
Thanks to Netgalley for providing me a free copy. I like this book a lot because of the two different timelines.. At first it was quite confusing and you really had to get into it but after a while you’re totally gripped into the story. At times it was quite gruesome for my liking but read on and you will be happy that you did! Very dark and twisted tail. But I would still recommend!
This was gripping and crazy! This was a decent thriller and was a fun read even when it was predictable. This was a quick thriller and pulled me in from the beginning.
Tell me why I read this book in ONE SITTING. I loved this! Go in blind! Enough said! I cannot think of any flaws, other than the fact that I wish this book was a bit longer, but man, it was so good!!
Wow, this was a wild ride. I was immediately drawn into this because I love a good domestic thriller that centers around a controlling man and a woman trying to escape him. As the book went on I thought I knew what the twist was going to be but was a little off when it was revealed. It was definitely foreshadowed though, looking back. I thought the ending was a bit lackluster though. I understand what the author was trying to do with those last few pages but I would have liked the bit more from it to really make it feel as dramatic as it should have been. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
I finished this book in one sitting. I love how it was two stories and you had to be patient to find out how the two connected. The writing was simple enough that it was an easy thriller to read, but still written in a way that it told the story well. I really enjoyed it!
gripped me right from the very start and i couldn't put it down. Twisty and unpredictable all the way through
A gripping narrative filled with unexpected twists and relentless pacing, perfect for fans of the genre craving a wild ride. New author for me and one I’ll look out for.
I was lucky to receive an advance copy of You Can't Hide by Emily Shiner from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review and opinions. This is one of those books that grabs you right from the first sentence and won't release you until you finish it. It's so good with so many twists and turns throughout the entire book. Just when you think you "know" what happened, you will be in for a big shock as another twist and turn arrives. Do yourself a favor and read this one ASAP!
This was my first book from this author. It didn’t draw me in and I found that I had to push myself to keep coming back to it. Not a favorite of mine.
I thought this was going to be a twisty gripping read. While it was twisty, it lacked the grippingness i was hoping it had - and found it to be slower and almost boring at times. Maybe it just wasn't for me.
Great book! I recommend it to anyone who likes books with this theme, but I confess that I wasn't surprised by the plot (and I won't comment on how I linked the information so as not to give spoilers). Still, I enjoyed reading it and wanted to see if I was right about Beth's secret and how she would get out (or not) of that situation.
Thanks to Netgalley & Inkubator Books for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
This was a very twisted tale that kept me captivated from beginning to end! I do think it could have been a little bit longer, but overall, really good!
