While it did take me some time to get into the story ,the author did amazing job by making it impossible for me to put it down once I started reading it , because the storystoryline was very interesting,as well as one of those that just screamed I have a secret to tell and you know you want to know what it is. As for the characters themselves there was times I didn't like any of them ,because of how they acted .
Thank you Bookouture and NetGalley for an early copy of Second Wives. Honestly I struggled with this book, I didn’t love the plot or characters. I kept reading it hoping I would become more interested but this one didn’t do it for me.
I really wanted to love this but it just wasn’t for me unfortunately, I absolutely loved the description but found it slightly confusing when I started reading.
There was some good twists and turns and it felt fast paced.
Thank you, NetGalley for this advance copy of Second Wives in exchange for my honest review.
Second Wives is about two ex-best friends who divorce and marry each other's ex-husbands.
It was an easy thriller to read, and there were some unexpected twists along the way.
I did find it dragged in a few places for me, but I enjoyed the ending.
4 best friends’
2 hubby’s
2 wives
They divorce
Then re marry
The one not married to before! ( so they swopped ) 😎
You get the picture on how this book starts and how easily the story then unfurls as they all continue to be ‘best friends’….of course there are many rippling undercurrents and after a shooting at the wonderfully named ( and for my mind imagined ) ‘Supper Club’ things get confused and wrangled, as do their lives
This book is really helped by the writing of the author which I found ‘chirpy’ and refreshing and casual/chatty whilst examining a serious subject of emotional amnesia and its affects
It would have been easy to take this book a certain way and ‘job done’ but the author really sells it to the reader and welcomes you in to this complex world ( but not complicated to read )
Its a psychological thriller with an unexpected pair of teeth and I really enjoyed being surprised by it

I enjoyed how the story explored the tension between two former best friends who divorce and marry the other woman's husband. Lots of potential for conflict there! I also liked how the book focused on a small set of friends. There's something for everyone in this book: a mystery, a murder, a thief, a social club, and a type of amnesia. The story slowed partway through for me but picked up near the end. The ending was a complete surprise!
This was a fantastic book I was drawn in straight away. I could not put it down had to know how it was going to end. Will definitely be recommending this book to everyone who loves a thriller which will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last page.
I highly recommend reading this book! It was well worth reading! The storyline was very interesting, it sucked me in and had me glued to my Kindle! Definitely don't miss out on the second wives. Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
Heart pounding thriller that left me on the edge of my seat. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. Definitely one of the best books this year.

This is about family, second marriages, and getting along…two women marry each other’s former husbands. Ironic…secrets…red herrings…this talented author has written a novel that moves quickly with realistic characters. Deceit and attempted murder are just part of this story. The two women try to get along for the sake of one daughter. The men don’t seem to care about anything except themselves…except one of the husbands does try to help his wife when she has an accident. This book was sent to me electronically by Netgalley for review. This is a puzzling mystery that is surprising at the end. Shocking. Enjoy
