This was a quick, fun read. I like the change-up from the usual female nanny to a male nanny. Super hot and very dramatic backstories.
ARC received for review
Didn't know this was a series when I requested it. It is a standalone and I wasn't lost for not having read the previous books.
This one was just okay and at times was a little boring.
Mr. Nanny is the tenth book in The Nannies series. This is a new-to-me author, but I didn't have any trouble reading it as a standalone. It was a short novella, so it was fast and easy to read. I love how the main male character's name was Caleb Nanny. This book was a great book if you are looking for a short but fun book.
This is a good book. The two main characters are Annie and Caleb. There is an instant attraction when they meet. Annie is an author. Caleb owns a nanny business. Annie has recently been given a daughter who is six months old. Her parents were killed, they were friends with Annie., who left her custody of their child. Annie goes to Caleb due to her needing help with her daughter. They start dating. They each have trust issues but together they work them out and fall in love.
"Mr. Nanny" by Sam Crescent is a heartwarming and entertaining romance that will make you smile and swoon.
thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy of mr. nanny. this was such a juicy romance and am looking forward to more from this author.
This didnt work for me
lets dive into what i did like
the male was the nanny who runs a nanny business
the woman asked for help and wanted to care for her baby without resenting her( I wont ruin why)
the supporting cast was nice
I loved how real conversations happened about raising children and its not all sunshine and roses
the book reads quickly and is nice
What didnt work
it was dragged on
the romance didnt quite fit (while it makes sense) I just never saw the chemistry
it was a bit cheesy
A definite man falls first kind of book... I thought it lacked something but I don't know what... It was a book that I read quickly.. Too quickly for me....
Dundududundududun. Spice spice baby. Dundududundududun. This has spice spice baby. “Alright stop, pickup this book and read it.
Story has great possibilities but felt quite rushed and like a lot of details were missing from the story line.
The characters were great, and I loved the friend dynamic between everyone, but the relationship felt rushed, time skips everywhere, and suddenly everything is HEA with 5 kids and the friends living next door.
I could see the potential for a great story, the author write very well, but something was missing for me to make this a fantastic book.
Crescent brings the steaminess, but because the story was so short there just wasn't time to develop the characters and their relationship enough. I kept waiting for the drama. Crescent is great at making me cry when drama hits, but there wasn't any here. I thought for sure we'd have something come up regarding Caleb's past or even some risk of Annie losing Tara, but it never happened and I finished the book wanting more. I am looking forward to reading more of the series as I jumped right into this series with this one without having read the previous books. Points to the author for making it so Book 10 in the series can still be a standalone read!
Absolute cotton candy fluff. Thin plot, but who cares. That’s not what I come to these books for. I’m here for the angsty heat and this had it in spades.
A quick and easy steamy read. Annie is raising her ex-fiance and best friend's baby Tara and asks Caleb for help. He runs a male nanny service and decides to do the job himself. Sparks fly, cute baby, and easy read. Would recommend.
Whilst I love employee/employer romance books, this missed the mark for me.
Understandably, it is a novella and so things need to move quickly, however this lacked a whole lot of emotional connection and chemistry for me. We moved too quickly up the timeline in the story following the initial meeting so there’s not much exploration.
The premise was promising however it all sort of just fell.. flat.
I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.
This was a quick and adorable read. I love the connection between Caleb and Annie and that Caleb knew right away he had feelings for Annie. Guys that know what they want and go for it are amazing. It's such an attractive quality that not a lot of guys have.
I also love that Annie took in Tara as her own, even with the bad history with Tara's parents. That definitely shows how good Annie is with a pure heart.
I'm glad I got the chance to read this novel!
Mr. Nanny is the tenth book in The Nannies series by Sam Crescent. It stood up fine on its own, but returning readers are likely to have some advanced knowledge of Caleb and his friends.
Annie Wells needs help. When she's suddenly given a baby to care for, she doesn’t have a clue what to do. She needs someone who knows how to help. Annie turns to Caleb Nanny, hoping he can teach her how to take care of the baby that is now her responsibility. One look is all it takes for Caleb to know that Annie is a sweet, young woman. She looks so distraught, so he takes pity on her. He agrees to help and it has nothing to do with how sexy her ass looks—or maybe it does. He can't fight his attraction for her. What started out as a pity job, soon turns into more, and when Caleb tells her that he loves her, he knows he’s gone too far. But what will happen when Annie attempts to give him the memory of a lifetime? Will he reject her, or will he finally fall for the woman that loves him with her whole heart, and never wants to let him go?
Mr. Nanny is an okay story, but I felt like there was a great deal of wasted potential. I liked the little I learned about Caleb and Annie, but I felt like we could have learned much more about Annie and baby Tara, and how things turned out they way they did for the pair. Readers do get a bit of a glimpse at Caleb and his issues, but I feel like there could have been more about the actual romance between the two. The outline was there, but it felt like so many details that could have made the story more engaging and real were left out. Things just felt a little flat all around, which is a shame since I thought it was going to check all my boxes for favorite, quick romance reads.
Mr. Nanny is a quick weekend read.
I decided to check this book out because I absolutely loved " Wickedly Tainted' from Evernight Publishing, so I figured I’d check another author out. I really enjoyed the way Annie took charge at the end of the story, but it all was definitely too “insta-lovey” for me. I don’t think any of the characters had any chemistry and there were serious communication issues between Caleb and Annie. It felt rushed yet a reeeeeally slow burn and the dialogue felt a bit forced. I’ve heard that the other books in the Nannies series are worth checking out though. So I’m definitely not giving up on Crescent’s writing! Thank you for this approved copy!
Normally, I am a huge Sam Crescent fan but this one was lacking in chemistry, and was a bit boring. Caleb Nanny, owner of a nanny agency becomes the temporary nanny for the h who unexpectedly becomes responsible for her former best friend and former fiancee's baby after they pass. That alone could be explored but really doesn't translate into angst or anything interesting in terms of plot. There isn't a lot of development between the two characters and their smx scenes fall flat. This one was a miss but most of Crescent's titles are not and I look forward to the next one.
I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.
This was a quick read but I loved the characters and the instant attraction both feel. They both came from hurtful past relationships and doubt their true connection but love wins in the end.
