So, I delved into the first book with some reservations, mainly due to what I perceived as a lack of plot. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the story really picks up momentum in this sequel. The plot thickens, the stakes are raised, and the characters undergo significant development, which kept me thoroughly engaged throughout.
While this book may be a surefire hit for fans of reverse harem, I must admit that it's a bit too much for my personal tastes. The dynamic between multiple love interests can feel overwhelming, and I was struggling to fully connect with the romantic aspect of the story. However, I acknowledge that this is purely a matter of personal preference, and there are undoubtedly many readers who adore this trope.
I can confidently say that it delivers on its promises of heightened drama and romance. If you're a fan of reverse harem, this book is a must-read. However, if, like me, you find the concept a bit overwhelming, it may not be the best fit. Nonetheless, I recognize that there is a dedicated audience for this genre, and I'm sure they'll devour this book with gusto. I received an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review
There was very little romance, but a lot of smut which became repetitive.
This could have been so much better with less sex and more Fantasy.
Not for me.
Gemini Kings is one of the sweariest, spiciest reverse harem books I have ever read. When I saw approx. five swear words on the first page, I knew I was going to be in for a ride. The character dynamics were very well done, and each character was so distinct I never felt like they blurred together as sometimes happens in why chose books. LGBT friendly with great world building and a strong female protagonist. Overall, well written.

Get ready for steamy scenes and more. In this sequel, Ms. Navarre focuses on the men. Zara, the Queen is back as well as her polycule and some new characters. This book has dragons, vampires, aliens and much more. You will not be disappointed. This is book the second book of the series. Best to read them both.
Thank you NetGalley for this advance copy in exchange for an honest review!
I didn’t realise this was the second book I’m the series as Gemini Queens is the first! I have chosen to not read this book yet as I want to go and read the first one so it makes more sense!
But from everything I’ve seen so far with reviews I can’t wait to get into these books!
I was so excited to learn that Laura Navarre wrote a sequel to Gemini Queen! I thoroughly enjoyed Gemini Kings and had a hard time putting it down so that I could get some sleep.
Gemini Kings is not intended to be read as a standalone, but I suppose you could. However, you will enjoy this book so much more if you read the first book. If you are into magic with dangerous situations, dragons, vampires, and other paranormal creatures, very spicy sex scenes, polycules (where everyone has sex with everyone) headed by a woman, and action - you will love this book!
While book one was more about our Queen, this book focuses much more on the boys. As with Gemini Queen, there are alternating POV chapters which round out the story beautifully.
I sincerely hope that Laura Navarre decides to write more books in her Dark Witch Academy universe, because I am a fan and will read whatever she writes!
I'm hooked on Laura Navarre's paranormal/alien/shifter stories! Gemini Kings has action & suspense and steamy scenes involving Zara and her harem. The original storyline sets this book apart from other shifter/paranormal books I've read and although this book doesn't end in a cliffhanger, I was left wanting to read more about Zara and her crew.

In this sequel to Gemini Queen, Zara and her harem are working on balancing their polycule, when outside forces threaten Zara's right of succession. First her father lures her out of Icarus Academy to kill her, then a foreign dragon arrives and demands to be made her king all while rumours of a lost queen begin circulating. Between mating bites, shifter heat cycles and scool work, Zara, Ronin, Vasili, Lucian and Neo will need to figure out who is behind the chaos and come up with a plan to cement Zara as the next queen.
If you've read the first book, expect more heat and pairings as the 'kings' set boundaries between them. The addition of Maxxim throws a wrench in the works - in more ways than one,
I was lucky enough to get an advance copy of this book and I’m so glad I did. The book was amazing, it follows on from the first book and allows us to see Zara progress - we get to see her develops in her poly relationships while she gets stronger with controlling her powers and getting ready to ascend to the thrown. I’m glad we got this book as I feel Zara’s story is not ready to be finished yet, I hope we get more and more books. I honestly could not put it down- loved it.

Gemini kings by Laura Navarre
My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶🌶🌶
Gemini kings follow Zara the dragon queen on her journey to claim the throne. While navigating the obstacles of her harem and the possibility of those dynamics changing.
I love her sass and her dominance.
There is plenty of spice for the supernatural spicy lovers, there’s inter species, there’s lots and lots of steamy scenes with thruples and more.
The story is good and told from multiple points of view.
All in all I enjoyed this book and it’s characters.
Thanks for writing something that is so inclusive and easy to love. ♥️
This is a reverse harem academy book. Zara is trying to settle into life at a supernatural private academy with her group of guys and hesitatingly mastering her lethal magic. Of course, things get even more complicated when she turns out to be a dragon shifter and there is a dragon shifter male determined to claim her as his mate and he has no qualms about killing the rest of the males in her life. And there is another possible claimant to the throne. Will Zara be able to handle all this and pass the grade?
There is a lot of sex here, explicit, and of many types. There is also a storyline and action (not only of the bed kind, or whatever other surface there is). I like that there is an actual relationship between the guys of her harem, not just between her and each of the men. This type of life won't work if there isn't some sort of relationship between everyone in the group--and it doesn't have to be a sexual one. Compromise and communication is the name of the game. It takes work.
If you like some heat in your read, this may be right up your alley, particularly if you are open to things. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.
I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I read the first book and is good. So I moved on to reading this book to and I love the pace of the book and read most of the book before I realized it. I have a thing for dragons. The guys can be a little hostile and some are sweet and gentle. The teacher-student thing still is not a thing for me but some of the other relationships just pull me in. There is a lot to love about this book.
4.5/5 stars! This is my first book by author Laura Navarre. I didn't realize this was a sequel and readers would likely benefit from reading Gemini Queen first. I really liked this story. It flowed well and had a lot of sassiness, which I love. It reminded me a bit of K.F. Breene's Ruin of Roses with the dragon shifter aspect. But it was spicy, and sexy, and run and had me wanting more.
I received an advance review copy for free through NetGalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily

Zara has accepted her warlocks and she's acclimatized to the academy, but it's too quiet to be true. After a revenge/heist at a casino in Vegas (without telling the others), she discovers she can shift into a dragon and a full-blood man dragon want to claim her as his alone. The dragon shapeshifter makes the worst mistake, can he convince her to rejoin her harem? How will her other witches react and what will be the worst threat to her?
Gemini Kings is the sequel to Gemini Queen. I love the book, but not as much as the first. I loved the new vulnerable side we see in some characters like Vasili. I laughed so much with the reference to Star Wars and the author keeps surprising us at the end. The storyline was less balanced for me. Her heat takes too much place. (My personal opinion) The spicy scenes are not for beginners and they are really well written.
You will find in the book:
🐺Paranormal romance
❤️🔥Reverse Harem
⚣M/M relation
🪄Magic
🐉Dragon
🌶️Spicy
Conspiracy
Possessive males
This was a great second book in this series ,plenty of spice and a new character. However I wish it was more action.
Hot, supernatural and very spicy! However you may wanna check trigger warnings prior to reading to see if your up to it. I thought this was very good and it was a quick read for me. Just what I needed.
