This was an awesome book. Following Jill through her trauma and love story was a roller coaster of emotion. I had a feeling Jason was coming for payback but, the way he came back, was not what I expected. Damon's patience and protectiveness was on point , as well as, their steamy romance. This book was well thought out and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it!! Would definitely recommend to fellow romance readers!

3.5*
Part (okay, mostly) erotica with tons of spicy scenes; part thriller. An overall good read.
Our main character Jill gets by each day, but has not had it easy (an incident in college has affected her whole life). She can’t get sexy detective Damon out of her head. Though she fights it, Damon ends off in her life (and her bed). Amidst the spicy times, something doesn’t seem quite right in her life and her nightmares are turning more and more real.
Jill’s worries are relatable and, given what’s happened in her life, understandable. Damon is protective and demanding and charming in the best ways. I enjoyed both of these characters!
The book was a bit slow for me about halfway through; I love a spicy book, but I found this book lost the plot for a bit and we got caught in a spicy scene loop. We came back to the plot and I couldn’t put the book down towards the end!
Thanks so much to NetGalley and A.E. Nalle for a copy of this book in return for my honest review.

Jill and Damon’s story began when they first met in the first book in this series but “Wickedly Tainted” can definitely be read as a stand-alone. Jill is happy being alone especially after the trauma she faced 19 years prior. Despite constantly claiming how okay she is, Damon can see right through her. This book definitely reaches into darker topics involving Jill’s past. I loved how supportive Damon was with Jill and how strong Jill was portrayed. She didn’t let herself become a victim of her past.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ebook in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Good read! As stated numerous triggers.. not for the faint of heart. How I tragic date can shape the life to come! And how 1 man can help her overcome! Not for under 18 year olds
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own

Well written bedroom scenes that make sense with the story. The internal conflict of the FMC was portrayed well. I appreciate the honest showing of trauma survivors. There are some definite content warnings with this one multiple scenes of sexual assault and a graphic scene of rape. There are also several kinks to include Dom, controlling the orgasm, degrading talk and bondage.
Overall I would recommend as long as you are okay with the warnings. Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for the chance to give this honest review.

Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for this arc. This book was a hard read, there is a lot of violence against the heroine of the story, but she does over come her trauma.

make sure you check the content warnings before reading!!
i was so excited to read this book after reading the first and it definitely lived up to my expectations! i loved jill since the first book and this book made me love her even more. i’ve absolutely loved getting to read about her development as growth especially with the help of damon. the spice in this book was amazing! i love the balance between spice and plot in this book and the writing was also so good.
if your looking for something spicy then this book is definitely for you! i cannot wait for the third book in series!

Wow! I was intrigued by the vague blurb about the story and am glad I went in blind- the story and characters sucked me in and kept me feeling all the feels! Would recommend for readers who want a darker romance without it being too crazy

Definitely a spicy book. I love Damon, but Jill was a little wishy-washy. I understand how her past influenced her. All in all, a good story - I stayed up way too late to finish it. And now I'm ready for Emily.

Fantastic book! Great storyline and great character development that grabs your attention from the very beginning of the book and doesn't let go until the very last page! The chemistry and spice between the main characters was phenomenal! I need to get my hands on the first book in this series and read it too!

This will contain slight spoilers!!
I want to start by saying this book definitely needs to come with trigger warnings: SA, Suicidal thoughts, Assault and Animal Violence.
Overall I loved this story and the characters so much. Jill was a great FMC. I loved how strong of a character she was and the way A.E Nalle handled talking about the SA and assault that Jill went through during and even several years later was phenomenal. She was really able to tap into this character and make you believe her story and the struggles she went through and why she had such strong walls built up to guard herself and her heart. Jills character growth throughout the story was absolute perfection.
And now we get to Damon! Damon really is the ideal book boyfriend. He was caring, kind, compassionate and very easy on the eyes. I loved how controlling and in demand he was during their intimate moments, but then immediately allowed Jill to take the reins during their day to day lives. He made sure she always knew he was there for her even in her weak moments and made sure to comfort her. He really managed to break down all her walls in the perfect way.
One slightly negative I will point out is there is a point in the story where Jill's cat Fiona goes missing and is missing for what seems like close to a week. Jill took notice of this when she went to feed Fiona the cat and noticed she hadn't ate her food in several days, but there was never a mention of worry with her.
She did state as it went further and Fiona was missing longer that her anxiety over not seeing her cat was spiked, but then immediately stated she didn't want to work herself up over it and just moved on. I will say coming from a pet owner that did not seem realistic. No pet owner would notice there animal missing for several days and just chalk it up to being nothing, especially if that was not normal behavior for that animal to do. I do wish there had been more worry and maybe more done in the story to make this more believable, even if all she did was mention calling the local animal shelter or putting up some flyers in her neighborhood.
Overall I would give the story 4/5 stars and the spice is a definite 5/5

This book was a fun read and the characters were lovable. There was a lot of spice and chemistry between Damon and Jill were amazing.
Trigger Warnings- It has some SA, assault, and mentions of suicide!

This book was not bad it was just really, really heavy on the intimate scenes. I prefer erotica with a plot, but this was straight sex with a smidge of trauma sprinkled in. I swear, Jill and Damon have the energy of work horses to be able to "worship each other" so much. Also, the writing was super repetitive and could have just used a bit more smoothing over. All in all, though, this was a three star read mainly because Damon was super supportive and understanding of Jill's trauma.

Super spicy book! Jill and detective Damon has excellent chemistry! I’m happy Jill got her own book! I enjoyed it a little more than Wickedly trapped!

TW for the book: Rape, Assault, Stalking, Date Rape Drugs
“Everything happens for a reason, unfortunately for me, I have yet to know the reason” by far the most relatable sentence I have ever found in a book. This was my first time reading anything from this author and while personally I feel there is an overuse of the endearment “baby” it was a good quick read. I high appreciated that while this is part of a series it can easily be read as a standalone without any issue. I enjoyed the suspense and plot building, but there were times throughout that it felt we were skipping time. This is not a heavy smut book at all, there are scenes and aspects of BDSM brought in that were enjoyable, but it was not the point of the book.

This book has a little bit of everything! It has the spice, it has the mystery, it has romance, and it keeps you on your toes! There are a few warnings, there is r**pe mentioned and referenced throughout the book, so please avoid or proceed with caution if this is a trigger, there is also stalking referenced in the book.
I enjoyed this book a lot, it was different from my normal reads, I’d give this book 4 out of 5 chili peppers in terms of the language used and the spice level of the scenarios described. I couldn’t wait to see how Jill and Damon’s relationship would develop.
There were a few instances where I was triggered by some of the scenarios in the book, and that’s why I rated it 3 stars, I would have appreciated a warning, but I still couldn’t put the book down, I had to see the story though!
This is one of those books where you really feel the rawness of the characters, I was definitely intrigued by Jill, by her trauma and her experiences and I was rooting for her throughout the book. I had a panic attack right alongside Jill, I cried with her and at the end of the book, her success felt like it was mine too.
I would definitely be reading more from this author, this was the 1st book by A.E Nalle that I have read, but I would love to read more!

Wickedly Tainted was a great read, and was a quick read for me. This book kept me interested in the storyline, and then I couldn't put it down. I actually didn't read the first book in the series before reading this one, and I actually ended up reading the first book after reading this one. I will say there are some triggers in this book, so ensure you check the triggers before diving in. With that said, Jill and Damon might be two of my favorite characters, their connection is definitely "spicy", but their relationship was such a great one to see evolve. I think the author did such a great job in giving us a great view into their evolving lives, relationship, and growth. I really enjoyed this book, and I do recommend!

This was a good book. It had elements of suspense which kept me going, and I enjoyed reading it. Thank you to the publisher, I would definitely read another book by A.E. Nalle in the future.

4.5
Don't have any expectation with the book cause its the first time for me to read an A.E Nalle book and this never disappoints. Would recommend this book to my friends.

This book had it all for me and that was it. I had to read this to see what it was all about. I was not disappointed and enjoyed the content. Enjoyed this book. I want to find more of her books.
