Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Nicole receives a call from her estranged parents telling her that Aimee, her 18 year old sister, has disappeared. After over a decade, she returns to the small Midwestern town she left after the death of her best friend, convinced of the involvement of her father, the sheriff. As Nicole searches for Aimee, she connects with old friends and uncovers multiple secrets connected with the disappearances.

This was an engaging thriller and had multiple twists and turns. I liked it and found it entertaining but is was not a memorable read.

Nicole left her home town after her best friend went missing when they were teenagers. She harbored doubts about her parents' innocence in the matter. In the present, she receives a phone call that her sister Aimee has also gone missing, and returns home. So many twists and turns, I couldn't stop reading until I reached the end of this exciting thriller! Highly recommended.

Mind blown! This book captured your interest from the very beginning. An instant page-turner! So many twists and turns filled with lies, secrets, and deceit that when reading, you think "Okay, this has to be the whodunnit person" and believed you figured everything out, when you're thrown for a massive loop as you turn to the next page.

I truly enjoyed every second of this book. None of the events in the book happened too fast where there wasn't a reasonable explanation nor did the events drag out. Wendy Dranfield did an excellent job of writing this book by alternating between multiple POVs and timelines as well as properly building up the moments of suspense through anticipation.

This was my first Wendy Dranfield book and now I'm totally hooked! I can't wait to dive into her previous works and I look forward to her upcoming books 😊

Thank you, Netgalley and Bookouture, for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Nicole leaves town with her high school sweetheart Lucas after her best friend goes missing and is assumed dead. She is called back years later after her estranged parents call to inform her that her younger sister has gone missing. Once home all of her old feelings and suspicions about who may have harmed her friend returns, and she is left questioning everything she once believed.

This book drew me in right off the bat and had me in it's grips the whole time. I did however find myself irritated at most of Nicole's decision making, and her complete lack of detective skills. But with all the twists and turns and so many suspects I guess I can't blame her too much. Dranfield had my head spinning, and questioning myself at every turn. This gripping page turner is definitely worth the read.

Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book for an honest review.

When Nicole was 15 her best best friend went missing, all that was left behind was a pool of blood but her body was never found.
Nicole had her suspicions but left her small town shortly after and kept away, but now her young sister has gone missing and Nicole is back in town to help find her.
Although it got bogged down some in the middle the ending was good and I will read the next book by this author.
Overall a good read. I

Nicole leaves her home town after her best friend goes missing when they were teenagers; believing her parents to have something to do with the disappearance.

But a phone call that her sister Aimee is now missing brings her back, but who can she trust? Everyone seems to have a secret; but who knows what happened?

This novel was told from three different points of view in a third-person narrative. This novel has twists and turns and everyone is a suspect. This was a great novel that I could not put down and was intrigued the more I read it.

I highly recommend to any thriller readers

Thank you to #NetGalley, #Bookouture and Wendy Dranfield for the opportunity to read an advance copy of THE NIGHT SHE VANISHED, publication date March 14, 2023. This psych thriller had a cold case of murder and an ongoing missing person case all wrapped into one heart-pounding, intriguing novel. The twists and turns were unceasing and kept me wondering about the perpetrators to the last pages. My first read by this author, but not my last. #NetGalley. #WendyDranfield. #TheNightSheVanished. #Bookouture

This was a fast paced read and thoroughly enjoyable thriller. Reminded me of Lisa Jewell books which happen to be some of my favourite thrillers. Highly recommend.

My Review:
Loved!!!!! Gripping!!!!! Wow!!!!! These are the first three words that popped in my head when I finished this great book. This was another fantastic read by this fantastic author. I’ve read several books by her now and have loved all of them. She writes these books like I’m watching it play out right in front of my own two eyes. I get so involved in it and lose all track of time. By the time I’m finished I’ve gotten nothing done for the day and I’m ready to go to bed. I have been really lucky lately with picking out my books. All of them have been so amazing and I have enjoyed reading them all. It does help that I currently have a subscription to Kindle Unlimited and have a wide variety to choose from. Now back to the book itself. One of the reasons I really liked this book was because of the characters. I didn’t know who to trust in the entire book. Each of them had something to hide and were very shady. The plot was also interesting and never had a dull moment. This kept me wanting to flip the pages as fast I could just to finish the book and to find out what happened next. Next up is that heart attack of an ending. It left me shocked. After I read this one I needed to take a few minutes to take it all in. When you have to do this, you know it is a great book.

In conclusion, the plot, the characters and all the twists in this book made this book an enjoyable read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

In The Night She Vanished, Wendy Dranfield spins a thrilling and captivating tale featuring both a cold and current missing person case. This is my first experience with the author’s work and I plan for it not to be my last.

The Night She Vanished introduces Nicole Rivers. Nicole was spending the day with her husband Lucas when she received a chilling phone call from her parents. Her sister Aimee is missing. Hearing this news brings back the terrifying memory of her best friend, who went missing and whose body was never found. Nicole’s belief of her parents’ involvement in her friend’s disappearance led to her distancing herself physically and emotionally from them. Desperate for information about her sister, Nicole returns home where she’s forced to confront the past.

The story moved between the past and the present, providing readers with information relating to both missing persons cases. As the story unfolds the link between the disappearances of both girls became apparent. Dranfield delivered a story filled with twists after twists and where secrets from the past tumble into the present. The twists, turns and secrets keep readers guessing until the end. The wide suspect pool made it difficult to determine the guilty party. Each of the suspects harbored secrets heightening the suspense and danger.

Although not a fan of the characters’ behaviour, they acted in true form given the situation. In addition to the mystery, the story delivered some dramatic moments. Some of which called for eye rolling and shaking head moments.

Overall, The Night She Vanished delivered an intense and addictive thriller filled with twists, turns and jaw dropping reveals. The story demonstrates what happens when secrets from the past come to light and the ripple effect it has on a family and, by extension, an entire community.

What a whirlwind of twists and turns! It’s filled with so many who-dun-it’s making you think twice each time you’ve thought you figured everything out, you're wrong again.

If you love murder mysteries, family drama/affairs and thrillers read this, but don’t forget Nicole is a bit crazy but then again who are we to judge?

It’s crazy what some people will say or do, when they're stricken with trauma. I may not be thrilled with one of the accusations, I don't feel it was needed in this incredible psychological thriller.

Thanks to Netgalley/publisher/Author for this free ebook in exchange for my honest review.

An avid follower of this authors detective series I was looking forward to reading this stand-alone and I wasn’t disappointed. I couldn’t put this down and read it in one sitting. Wendy Dranfield is such a good writer and writes great characters. Nicole was one who grew on me. Seeming to jump to conclusions a bit quickly she lost her trust in people when her friend died but she needs to trust someone in her search for her sister. Set in dual timelines 2008 and Summer 2022 and from three POV’s this was a smooth easy read.

Briefly, Nicole comes from the mid Western town of Henderson but left as soon as she could, at eighteen. Her father is the local sheriff and is highly respected but Nicole believes he was involved in the disappearance of her friend Lori when they were fifteen and that her mother knows it. Years later, having had nothing to do with them, and now married to Lucas, her friend from her teens, she receives a call saying her younger sister has disappeared. Heading home she discovers her father, who is still sheriff, seems to be doing nothing to find her. Then human remains are found at a nearby farm.

Nicole determines to find the truth behind her parents behaviour but it appears that everyone, and I mean everyone, has secrets they are desperate to keep. A very clever mystery thriller with so many twists and turns and as the truths eventually come out there are some startling revelations. A good exciting thriller with plenty of suspense. A great read.

If you aren't reading Wendy Drandfield, you need to catch up! Wendy always delivers fascinating thrillers - characters you enjoy, mysteries you obsess over and plots causing binge reading.
After severing ties with her parents, Nicole is forced to return home. Her younger sister has mysteriously disappeared. Will she finally learn the truth behind her best friend's disappearance years ago?
Family drama at its best!

I really enjoyed The Night She Vanished by Wendy Dranfield. It kept me guessing most of the time and despite figuring out part of the twist, there was added elements to the twist that I hadn’t figured out. There were many different storylines happening at once to keep you distracted and confused (in a good way).

I was very pleased with the ending. It wasn’t unbelievable or over the top. All the twists and turns made sense and there were no holes in the plot.

I will be posting this review on Instagram, Amazon and Goodreads.

I do love me a book by Wendy! I know she will never let me down, I mean this is the woman who gave me my first-ever book crush…Oh, Dean…ahem! This book is something else. Completely.

The blurb got me, hooked me and the opening pages too, it did dip a little but boy did the last quarter of the book get the pulse racing. I thought I had got the killer from the start of the audiobook I was like, it’s that person. I stuck with it and stuck with it and despite being wrong, I wasn’t far wrong. And that twist was a shock.

It was a dark story, a hard story for Nicole, you can see why she ran. I wouldn’t want to be in that toxic house. However, as we all know secrets always lead to resentment, bruised pride and tension. We had all of that here, and a heck of a lot more!! My head was spinning from the revelations, I couldn’t believe how much happened. It was just awesome!

The story was woven so well with the current day and Lori recounting the last few weeks of her life. I love books that do this because it adds to the intensity of the tale, as we are racing to find out what the heck is going on. And boy I needed to know what happened! Especially when things seem to have gotten twisted in the past, and you have seen the fallout in the present day.

I love and devour Wendy’s words. She sucks you in and she won’t let you go until she has told you the story that she needs to tell you. Not going to lie I did miss Nate and Dean, but it was also refreshing to meet new people from Wendy’s dark mind. I enjoyed every minute of the story. God, so much I want to tell you about Nicole, Lucas, and Lori – my heart broke for Lori, but I don’t want to spoil anything.

Just pick the book up! It has everything you could ask for.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in advance. I loved this thriller and will be looking for more books by this author. I couldn't stop reading it. I was reading it everywhere I went on my phone. The main character had me hooked right away, and just when I thought I knew what was going on, I was as shocked as the character at what was being revealed. Read this and read it now!
