I am a big fan of Mark Edwards books and I have been for years! This book is quite different as it has the romance aspect to it, which I normally do not read. However, I don’t think there was too much romance in this book and it actually fitted into the plot perfectly! This book has it all! Romance, crime, murder, lies, manipulation, plot twists and it definitely! Keeps you wanting more and more! I personally could 100% see this book being made into a number 1 bestselling film. If you want to read a book that keeps you on the edge of your seat and totally hooked!! This is the book for you! I highly recommend!
I found myself really rooting for Helena and Matthew and loved their relationship and characters! And put it this way Lee and Devon get everything they deserve and more!
Thank you to NetGalley and Mark Edwards for my ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I look forward to Mark Edwards next bestseller!
This was a fun, popcorn read. There were absolutely parts where things were completely unbelievable and you had to set your common sense aside, but it was still a fun read. Very propulsive plot, some decisions that Matthew made were more than questionable, and Helena seemed a little off to me but overall and at the end of the day the story was entertaining and kept me turning the (digital) pages. Would recommend to my customers in the vein of Freida McFadden.
I have read several books by Mark Edwards and have thoroughly enjoyed them all, although I feel that now his recent books feel a bit samey. This starts off well but the ending feels rushed and is unsatisfying as a result. Not his best.
Thanks to NetGalley and the Publishers, Amazon Publishing, for this ARC.
If you were to describe this book to a friend it might sound a bit cute, a rekindled romance after 20 years of separation, beautiful love story to follow? This however is a Mark Edwards novel so its not long before events take a terrifying turn. Helena is in peril and Matthew is terrified, What is going on and who can help solve this situation? Prepare for twists and turns throughout..
A ride of a read and it moves at good pace. Really enjoyed it and am eagerly anticipating the next read from the author.

A great thriller - I would recommend it!
This book is very, very, very good! Great writing, great plot, well constructed characters! I was intrigued to know whether or not I could trust the protagonist and the ending kept the pace and was surprising! I will definitely read more books written by this author!
At the opening of the novel, we meet Matthew and Helena. It feels like the beginning of a sweet romantic tale of two college lovers finding one another again. However, anyone familiar with Mark Edwards should know better. The tale takes turn after twisted turn. I could hardly put the book down. Another winner!!
Good read
A good page turner
With lots of twists and turns
Another great book by this author
Thanks NetGalley
I found this story intriguing right from the start. The twists were great & I had to keep reading to find out how it was going to end.
I feel like a broken record sometimes, but Mark Edwards does it again. With the setting returning to the UK in this suspense novel, Mark has hit a new stride and I hope he doesn't look back. Keep Her Secret is a masterful tale of suspense, intrigue, and tension that will keep you turning the pages. I can't give too much away or else I'll spoil it, let's just say sometimes that second chance past relationship may not be worth it!!!!

Helena, a recent widow, and Matt dated and college and recently rekindled their romance. While on a trip to Iceland, Helena slips and goes of the side of a mountain. While hanging there by the strap of her backpack, assuming she is about to fall to her death, she confesses that she has done something awful and this must be payback. Someone overhears her confession and wants to capitalize.
This was a good read overall. I didn’t know where it was going to go and I was generally entertained. I thought the middle dragged a bit and was sort of repetitive, but I was surprised by the ending. This was probably one of the better books I have read from this author.
I loved the premise of this story and the tension that began right from the first chapter. Mathew and Helena are high school exes. They go on a scenic hike in Iceland in an attempt to spend time together and rekindle the old flame. However, an attempt to take the perfect photo, almost leads to disaster and in this moment, a devastating secret is revealed.
I have always enjoyed the concept of buried secrets in psychological thrillers and the revelation of Helena’s secret right at the start of the story was brilliant. What followed next was a crazy rollercoaster ride as the characters attempted to burry the secret once again.
I enjoyed the fast-pace of the narrative and the twisty plots. Every new turn had me turning the pages even faster. Not as dark as the author’s previous reads but still quite entertaining
Superb writing from this author, a very eye catching cover, this book will go far, 5 stars. Blindingly excellent ... This book should come with a disclaimer as once you start reading you aren’t going to want to walk away.
Matthew and Helena, reunited after two decades apart, embark on a romantic getaway to Iceland, rekindling their college love. Their passionate mountain hike takes a terrifying turn when a picture-perfect moment shifts into a heart-pounding crisis: Helena dangles precariously from a cliff's edge.
In the midst of his fear, Matthew nearly misses Helena's sudden and shocking revelation, but when her confession finally reaches his ears, it sends a shiver down his spine. Her full disclosure leaves him horrified, not just by what she's done but by the chilling motivations behind her actions. The question gnawing at him is whether he truly knows the woman he thought he did.
As their shock transforms into dread, a sinister turn of events unfolds back in England. They discover that someone not only overheard Helena's confession but intends to exploit it for blackmail. Matthew faces a critical decision: should he involve the authorities or assist Helena in safeguarding her harrowing secret?
The narrative unfolds in three distinctive parts, immersing readers in a labyrinth of uncertainty, where discerning truth from falsehood and distinguishing genuine from counterfeit becomes an intricate puzzle. The book deftly toys with your perceptions, showcasing the artistry of a psychological thriller at its zenith.
While the story excels in delivering twists and turns, a lingering concern emerges that an excess of plot twists, some straying into the realm of implausibility, which felt disconnected from the real world.

Thank you to Thomas & Mercia via Netgalley for the ARC (now not "advance" any longer LOL) to read and review. I'm a big fan of Mark Edwards so was super excited to get his newest thriller! Also available on KU with audio.
You'll need to suspend your disbelief -- there's some wild stuff happening with this one couple!
3.5 stars from me, rounding up because it was enjoyable and tense throughout.
Would recommend if you love:
-suspense
-secrets
-twisty
Seasoned thriller readers may see the twists coming. Some I did, one big one I didn't. For me this falls pretty firmly in the "popcorn thriller" category. It was wild at times, like how much trouble can two people find themselves in, who do I believe, what other secrets are each person hiding...but it wasn't unenjoyable and there were lots of tense moments.
Mark Edwards has a brilliant talent for taking ordinary situations and people and putting them in extraordinary situations. Sometimes these situations are dangerous, sometimes they are terrifying but above all they are always believable and the reader is able to imagine themselves in the same circumstances and wonder “how would we react?”.
Keep Her Secret, Mark’s latest standalone psychological thriller has the same key ingredients as his previous books. The main male character Matthew (loosely based on Mark) is average looking, quite weedy and needy. He has rekindled a romance with Helena, his college sweetheart and they are going on holiday to Iceland when a terrifying accident causes Helena to fall over a cliff edge. Convinced she is going to die she confesses something truly shocking which sets of a ripple effect which starts a dangerous chain of events to slowly unfold.
I’m not going to spoil this story for you, but I will tell you that the tension was rising from chapter to chapter. With every twist and turn, we are taken on a terrifying journey as things go from bad to worse for Matthew and Helena, and just as you think things may be OK, something truly awful happens. which kept me glued to my kindle, unable to stop reading and eager to find out how they will get themselves out of this predicament.
If you are looking for a fast-paced, action-packed psychological thriller then look no further than Keep Her Secret.

Another great book from Mark. Yes, it was slow but, it kept the reader interested all the way through. Loved this one. Twisty and thrilling. My thanks to netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.
I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.
