I absolutely LOVED this book. It was phenomenal and like slipping in with old friends again. Overall I want more stories in this world because I love it so dearly.
First off, not a fan of these new cover changes mid series. Especially not with people on the covers. It messes with my head and how I perceive the characters.
Sadly this was just meh. I struggled a bit but I know many who liked it.
Sadly this wasn’t the winner I was hoping for. The first 1/3 really hooked me as we get to k ow the elusive and mysterious Sorinda. However where this began falling short was as we get to the middle conflict and in the overall character relationships.
First, the romance never really felt like it was there or memorable. I didn’t buy the slow burn chemistry of the characters and I didn’t feel like I could see Sprinda falling and changing, it was just too much of a glacial pace for it to then fast forward in the end. Next, what I loved so much about the duology, was the character dynamics that gave us Alisa’s close friendship with characters like Sorinda. However here, other than Roslyn, I felt like all the other pirates faded to the background and none of them felt like strong secondary characters, which hindered helping us see other sides of Sorinda.
Lastly, the magic and main conflict in this one felt a bit confusing and convenient. The major drama is resolved much too quickly and in a way that had me scratching my head given what the power is supposed to do…There’s also some loose ends, maybe some that are intentional but some that just felt a bit lazy and niggle. Like the secret Roslyn learns, the pirates we lose, the whole reason Alosa even sends spies in the first place..
The very obvious mention of Niridia at the end clearly tells us which characters’ story is next, so here’s hoping that is better balanced. Overall this was fine but just not quite as fun as expected.
I love this world so much! And I love Sorinda and Keaton. Sorinda is given a ship to captain for a mission to save six of Alosa’s girls. The development of Sorinda’s and Kearan’s characters was so well done, I was teary eyed a few times! This story was fast paced and fun.
Had to DNF. I loved the first 2 books in this series but it was so long in between when I read them that I just couldn’t get into this one. I also loved the characters in the first 2 books but just did not connect with them as well in this one.
These books are just so freaking fun! I can't believe it took me so long to read this.
Sorinda is such a great character. She's always been mysterious and I'm so glad we got the chance to learn more about her, and to see her in action. It was also fun to see her get a bit of romance but just the perfect amount.
I will always and forever read Tricia's books. They're perfectly paced, action packed, and swoony from start to finish!
I never want to leave this world! I absolutely adore anything written by Tricia Levenseller. She totally captivates her readers in every story and continues to prove that she is fantastic author with Vengeance of the Pirate Queen.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for granting me free access to the advanced digital copy of this book.
I really wanted more of this story so I was so excited for this book but nervous not having the book focused on Alosa and Riden. Boy was I wrong, I ended up falling in love with the strength and character growth of Sorinda. I truly enjoyed this new piece to the Daughter of the Pirate King series and vote for more!
Vengeance of the Pirate Queen had incredible world building and a compelling storyline. I really enjoyed reading about pirates.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel! Great series and wonderful characters. If you have not read the others in this series, you must! Tricia Levenseller has created a wonderful and imaginative world of pirates and adventure.
When I need something to save me from the brink of a reading slump I always pick up something from Tricia. She just had the perfect blend of romance fantasy and intrigue
Another triumph of a high seas adventure from author Tricia Levenseller. I was overjoyed when it was announced that there would be a new installment in this series, and the book more than lived up to the hype! I will happily join Alosa or anyone from her crew anytime they set sail on a new adventure.
This third book was by far the most exciting and action-packed book of the 3. There were plenty of action scenes just like I like my fantasy. I loved Sorinda’s character. We got a fully developed character with very interesting and complex back story. Not to take anything away from the other books because they were great as well. I just think I vibed with this one a little bit more. The series over all was fun, with an interesting world that I loved. I mean who doesn’t love a pirate story? Loved it!
Thank you so much to Feiwel & Friends, NetGalley, and the author for my eARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I am absolutely delighted by Tricia Levenseller’s stories. From The Darkness Between Us through the Daughter of the Pirate King/Siren Queen, I have loved every minute. Vengeance of the Pirate Queen is no different.
Sorinda, the Pirate Queen’s assassin, is a formidable FMC with zero feelings and all brute force. I really enjoyed how we uncovered more of her character as the events of this story unfolded, and how she was forced to face the things that made her so numb to the world. I loved her wit and humor (ie “do they expect us monsters to announce ourselves?”).
The last line of the book had me crying and I absolutely LOVED the bonus content of Tricia’s annotated first chapter. I love this world and I love Sorinda and I’m so glad I got to return to it after all this time.
This book is pure fire! This new adventure of Sorinda is perfection. I think this book is better than the last and I loved it. This book kept me up late reading it, no devouring every word of it!!
I just reviewed Vengeance of the Pirate Queen by Tricia Levenseller. #NetGalley

I can't even express how much I LOVED this book! I already loved the first two books in this series so much and didn't think it could get better but Kearan and Sorrinda were so fun to read about and I loved reading about their relationship and how it developed. I thought the plot was super fun as well and Sorrinda's inner narrative was heartbreaking but I loved reading from her perspective. Tricia Levenseller is officially an auto buy author for me!

I could not recommend this book more! If you enjoyed the first duology then you are going to love this book. I was anxious at first because I never like when we switch to a new point of view but I loved getting to know Sorinda. This book is easily my favorite in the whole series. I hope that Tricia decides to write more in this world with these characters. I have grown so attached to them.
This book focuses mostly on the plot, which I have to say was quite refreshing. The romance is very secondary in this story but the chemistry and slow burn between Sorinda and Kearan is just chefs kiss.
Oh what a fun and wild ride this one was! I have absolutely loved this whole series and I'm so glad we got a whole book about Sorinda, the pirate assassin. I loved the journey and adventure this story takes you on and I highly recommend this book after you've read the first 2 in the series!
I really enjoyed this book. It is a great follow up to the Daughter of a Pirate King duology. Sorosa's story pulls at your heart strings and keeps you wanting more. The story is suspenseful and keeps you wanting more. Soros has a great character ARC. The setting of this book is unique and Levenseller does a great job with the world building. I highly recommended this book.
