Oh my, oh myโ€ฆ Dante effing Russo.

The young, successful, billionaire, and CEO is forced into an arranged marriage with Vivian Lau after her father threatens him with blackmail against his family. Well-mannered Vivian on the other hand has no idea what her father has been up to and hesitantly accepts an arranged marriage to keep her mother and father happy. Over the journey of a yearโ€™s engagement, hate slowly turns into love with a sprinkle of lies and betrayal.

Overall, both characters were extremely enjoyable. I am officially obsessed with this book and cannot wait to read the next one in the series๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ Also, lately Iโ€™ve been vibing with billionaire romances and I think I need more of these in my life asap.

This book really gave it to us right away, and I appreciate that. I almost had to do a double take when I realized I was only 7% in and right in the thick of it already.

Loved the characters with one exceptionโ€ฆ Dante is not it for me. Guy is way too delusional, and cruel? Not enough of a redemption for me to buy back in, sorry bye!
But what does it say about me that Iโ€™m entranced with Christian and now immediately need to pivot back to the Twisted series and read his book? (Iโ€™ve only read the first two). As far as Vivian, I am a stan.

As far as Iโ€™m concerned, Ana Huang doesnโ€™t miss. I really enjoyed the pace, characters and sheer opulence in this book! If this was adapted for the screen 10/10 would binge. I canโ€™t wait for the next ones!

I loved every single second of this book!! It's going on my top reads list for 2023.
Everything just worked for me - the timing was perfect, the story was amazing, and the characters are so well written. This is Ana Huang at her best.

Here's what I loved about this one:
It's an arranged marriage romance, which is one of my favorites.
The angsty is delicious and was well done. That moment when you know the characters have fallen, but they won't admit it to themselves is so thrilling!
I loved both characters, but the heroine really shines here. She's traditional and reacts in a way that puts her family first (despite them not deserving it) but also true to herself. I loved watching her come into her own.
And don't get me started on the sexy MMC. Gah, he's literal perfection.

I'm beyond excited for the remaining books in the series. I cannot wait!

I devoured this book. Anna Huang is an automatic buy for me and this book is no exception. The first book in the Kings of Sin series, it made me so excited for the rest!! ๐Ÿ˜ The characters, the storyline, the spice, just perfection!!

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this arc in exchange for an honest review!

There's just something about a man who is dangerous, morally gray and a billionaire, y'know?

Ana Huang does it again (!). I would read anything and everything this woman writes. She is an icon. A legend. A hero to all.

Dante and Vivian are SO perfect and so hot and I hate how much I love them.

Ana's twisted series was spectacular, so I was anticipating this to be good but this blew everything out of the water. Ana Huang, you are SO talented and I will forever be a fan.

At first I really loved Dante and Vivian. Dante is the brooding millionaire who everyone is obsessed with from afar and Vivian is the rich heiress who works for her own money and doesn't rely on her parents money.

The fact that she's from Boston and an event planner spoke to me since that's my hometown and what I did previously as well. Anyone else automatically picture themselves as the main character no matter the description?!

Their engagement progressed how I figured it would, with Dante being the "touch her and I kill you" type of guy. However, somewhere near the end of the book he started calling her sweetheart and I wanted to barf. Maybe it's a personal preference, but I just don't see Dante saying that. I also felt like it progressed a little slow, but overall would give it 3.5 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I didn't realize this book had already been released last October when I requested my copy from NetGalley, but I'm super glad it was still available.

Tropes:
-Arranged marriage
-Forced proximity
-Touch her and die
-Enemies to lovers
-Praise

I was a little nervous about reading this book because I had tried reading Twisted Love by Ana Huang and a little over 100 pages in I quit because I wasn't loving the characters and the way the MMC talked to the FMC during sex was just not my thing. I'm so glad I gave Ana Huang another chance though because I loved this book!

This book follows Dante Russo, a billionare CEO, and Vivian Lau, whose family is new money. Vivian's father sets up an arranged marriage with Dante so that the Lau's can continue to climb the social ladder. Needless to say it's not all smooth sailing in this arranged marriage.

There is so much that I loved about this book. I loved both Dante and Vivian as characters and I loved the growth they both went through throughout the story. Especially Vivian, I was so happy to see her grow more of a backbone when it came to her family. I also really loved the development of Dante and Vivian's relationship. I had seen quite a few reviews calling it insta love/lust, but I very much disagree. I would classify this book more as a slow burn romance which I really liked. Yes, they both thought the other person was attractive from the get go, but nothing physical happens between them until at least halfway through the book. In fact at the beginning, they don't like each other at all which brings me to the next thing I loved about this book! It was totally an enemies to lovers story which is my favorite trope.

Honestly, my favorite part of this book was Dante! He has definitely been added to my book boyfriend list! I'm a sucker for a MMC with a tough exterior, but super caring on the inside. Also, the steamy scenes in this book were on point! The praise!!! I really don't have anything bad to say about this book. I can't wait for King of Pride to come out! Kai and Isabella were definitely my two favorite side characters. I think I might like book two even more than this one!

3.25/5 stars! This was a very standard arranged marriage story. It was a quick read and kept me engaged, but I feel like there could have been so much more done. Vivian was well-developed as a character and I liked her backbone. Dante fell a bit flat for me. Would still recommend, as it follows the forced marriage/mafia-esqe vibes well.

I received an advance review copy for free through NetGalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily

Wow! This was my first Ana Huang book and I think Iโ€™ll go back and read the Twisted Games series now.

Billionaire romance, arranged marriage, grumpy x sunshine, forced proximity and second chances. This book had it all and had me hooked!

King of Wrath is book one in the โ€œKings of Sinโ€ series.

It publishes on April 25th, 2023. Thank you @netgalley and Bloom Books Publishing

Dante is a billionaire with a bad attitude. Vivian is a funny and charismatic beauty queen. Neither want to marry. Neither have a choice.

I havenโ€™t read many arranged marriage books so I donโ€™t have a ton to compare it too, but I enjoyed this one! The characters were likable, it was well written, and the plot progressed at a steady pace. I felt invested in the relationship of the characters and wanted to know how it ended.

The next books will feature supporting characters from King of Wrath and Iโ€™m exited to read about their developing relationships as well!

If you liked the Off-Campus series by Elle Kennedy, youโ€™ll enjoy King of Wrath and the subsequent books to come!

I liked this. It was spicy without being too much and there was actually some plot. I found the male lead kind of hot sometimes too. Now I'm mad at my dad for not blackmailing some rich guy into marrying me.

King of Wrath by Ana Huang was so so so good, I had a hard time setting it down! So happy Ana continued writing about characters from her Twisted series. This book follows billionaire Dante as he is blackmailed into a marriage with the daughter of a jeweler, Vivian. Very heavy enemies to lovers themes throughout, until ultimately they fall in love. The pacing and plot was very well done with some twists and turns that had me wondering how they were going to make it to their HEA. Dante is a fantastic male lead with amazing dirty talk, while Vivian is outspoken and doesn't stand down to Dante when he is being a jerk, I am excited for book 2, feature Kai and Isabella!! If you like a good enemies to lovers, billionaire romance with a good plot- King of Wrath is for you!!

Overall: 9/10
Spice rating: 4.3/ 5

The first book in the Kings of Sin series and it did not disappoint!!!

Dante's hand is forced into an arranged marriage with Vivian. Dante is ruthless and broody but very soon becomes obsessed with Vivian! I loved the dynamics between the two. Vivian calls Dante out many times and I was here for it! Dante soon realizes that he not only enjoys Vivian's company, but he may even be IN LOVE!!! This is a great swoony and spicy story to get started with the Kings of Sins!

When you see booktok/bookstagrammers raving about a book, there's always a certain excitement but also level of weariness that comes along with it. Luckily, this book was great and I understand the pre-hype. I ate this book up and would've probably read it in one sitting if other life obligations didn't get in the way. Her characters are so dimensional and *hot*. Sure it might have some recycled elements but I like that Ana knows what she does best and sticks with it. Pick up King of Wrath, steamy romance fans!

I love a good marriage of convenience and this one hit the mark for me. Dante and Vivianne might not have liked each other at first but the chemistry as the book went on definitely got steamy! Iโ€™m excited for the other books in this series.

I was waiting on the edge of my seat for this book, I loved every book by this author and this book is no different. The characters sucked me in so quick I couldnโ€™t put it down.

King of Wrath is a fun read. Thereโ€™s some angst and tension, nothing earth shattering but I enjoyed the read. It was an easy, light read in my opinion

These books are such a guilty pleasure for me! I loved reading all the twists and turns that happen in Ana's latest, and seeing Dante fall for feisty Vivian!

I may be biased, fresh off of a terribly boring and cluttered book and with incredibly low expectations thanks to Twisted Love (I gave it a general 2 stars), but I didn't hate King of Wrath.

The criticisms I've seen are absolutely warranted! Dante and Vivian are not really given much personality besides being into each other, the plot is flimsy, and there was nothing particularly special about it. There were a LOT of similes in this book, and some of them were weird and jarring ("my chest crushed like ice beneath a speeding truck??"). Some scenes left me wanting (the jewelry store robbery could have been so much more entertaining), but there was never a point where I thought "this is ridiculous, i want this book to be over" like I did during Twisted Love.

Otherwise, I feel like Ana Huang's writing has improved so much. The prose (though it was a bit purple sometimes), the dialogue, the banter. Miles better than Twisted Love, imo. It /is/ derivative of other similar romances, but if you need a predictable, entertaining love story that won't make you think too hard, King of Wrath is your spot. That's what I needed, and Miss Huang didn't disappoint.

Dante Russo is a ruthless and controlling billionaire CEO. He does what he wants, when he wants, with who he wants. Until he finds himself being blackmailed into an arranged marriage. Vivian is the good daughter, she works hard to please her family. She agrees to this arranged marriage because she has to, itโ€™s her duty to her family. Dante is working to find a way out of this arrangement, until one day he realizes that he might not want out..

The Twisted series by this author is one of my absolute favorites, like for real. I was so excited to get this one and it did not disappoint. We met Dante and Vivian in the Twisted series, now we finally get their story. I love a fake dating trope and MAN this one was good. Ana Huang can really write a good romance that also has an interesting plot (and she has mastered the billionaire trope). I loved their banter and how Dante slowly but surely falls head over heels with Vivian. Ana Huang is the master of a โ€œtouch her and you dieโ€ moment. Sheโ€™s also the queen of a โ€œtake no shitโ€ FMC (who remembers Twisted Hate?) I will read anything she writes, hands down. No question.
